KICK OLD MAN WINTER TO THE CURB IN STYLE
I can’t wait for Old Man Winter to get here! That is a phrase that I thought I would never utter since I HATE cold weather. But, this year, I’ve found some gorgeous coats that I can’t wait to wear. These coats will kick Old Man Winter to the curb and look fabulous at the same time!
Joe is usually the “coat person” in our family. He loves having lots of different coats and keeps one or two in his truck at all times once fall weather hits. I usually never wear a coat and will instead run from the car to a store, to work, or to my house to keep from freezing. Maybe it is because my ability to run has slowed down, but I can’t get enough of fall and winter coats this year, and I have become the “coat person” in the family.
This red wool-blend Balacaan coat is what I call a Car Coat. I love the length of the coat because it looks great with dresses, and it also keeps your core, backside, and upper legs nice and toasty. The coat is a classic single-breasted design with a hidden-button placket, button-tab cuffs, welt pockets, and a back vent.
Plus, the coat is fully lined and very well made. This is a coat that is made to last, and this classic and timeless style will allow you to wear the coat for many years to come. I am wearing a medium, and it is plenty roomy enough for me, even with a ribbed crewneck sweater.
Here is a photo showing the length of the coat from the side. This gives you a better idea of how much your body is protected from the cold with this coat.
If you prefer a shorter fall and winter coat, then this London Fog coat with a plaid scarf included might be just the ticket for you. You can read about this coat where I posted about it earlier this month.
A good layering piece is essential when wearing a coat. At some point, you will want to remove your coat, and you still want to stay warm once the coat is removed. I’m wearing an ivory ribbed crewneck long-sleeved sweater that is perfect for layering under cardigans, coats, blazers, or wearing by itself. I am wearing a large, and it fits me great.
This sweater comes in a lot of different colors, so be sure to check them all out. If you prefer wearing turtlenecks in the winter months, then you can grab that too.
Who doesn’t love pull-on pants, especially when they have a flat front? If you need a pair of slimming black pants, then you will love these. The material is very nice and looks polished and chic. The pants are pull-on, but the front is flat for a beautiful look and fit under your tops. The Slimsation pants line has a shape-recovery fabric with a 360° control panel that smooths with every move. The pants come in several other colors, so be sure to check them out. I am wearing my usual size 10 in these pants, and they fit perfectly!!!

Here in Michigan, you definitely need a winter coat! Ha! It. Is. Chilly. Brrrrr.
The last 2 emails have had links to your posts that do not work….there is no email address on your website so commenting here hoping that you see this
Lauren, it was a scheduling problem. I hope that it works tomorrow morning. Here are those links if you haven’t already found them.

Unfortunately (?) there’s no need for a winter coat here in Florida.
Beautiful coats! Z💕
The red coat is gorgeous and looks like it would actually be comfortable to wear.
I just ordered the longer coat in green. I looked for a coat all last year and never found one I loved. This looks like the style I was looking for. I ordered it in a petite and hope it fits. The sleeves are always too long on regular size coats.
Love your style…plus all stories of your husband, Joe. I have a good laugh; he’s such a good sport. 🙂
Beautiful red coat! I also like the London Fog coat. Perfect length for shopping or running around town.
Where is your scripture of the day? Have you decided not or been asked not to speak of your faith? That makes a difference to me and in my option to continue to read your posts.
Pamela, I have addressed this many times. I never post MY faith on a post that is sponsored. A brand has paid for this post, and I don’t think that it is appropriate for me to force MY belief on them. I wouldn’t want them to dictate to me their beliefs. I don’t ask the brands, so this is no reflection on them, this is just MY policy. I hope you understand.
