IS A KNEE LENGTH DRESS RIGHT FOR YOU
The trip yesterday was so smooth, well most of it was anyway. The landing into Los Cabo was HOT, and he hit the ground pretty hard. That was a wake-up for most of us. Lol! Since we left the hotel so early in the morning, there was no traffic, and the trip to the airport was incredibly quick. Then, we got our luggage checked in, and miraculously, the suitcases were under the 50 lb. limit. That is probably a first for me. Lol! Joe has accused me of packing the kitchen sink before.
Once we arrived in Dallas, we caught the shuttle service to our next gate. We walked up to the gate, and they were already starting to board. I barely had time to take a quick potty break before we boarded the plane. I noticed this gentleman behind us in a long, very ornate coat. I told Joe that I bet he was the Prince who keeps trying to friend me on FaceBook. Joe was not amused and told me that a Prince wouldn’t be flying coach. Joe and I like both like to have aisle seats because you don’t feel so confined. I got to snicker at him when the seat next to me got left empty. Haha! I told him that I was saving the seat for Prince, but alas, he never showed up. Lol!
I have been looking at dresses lately. Easter is coming soon, and I like getting a new dress for Easter just like I did when I was a child. I wish that I had a picture of my sister and me dressed in our Easter attire to share with you, but let me put it to you this way…I don’t get any of my fashion sense from my mother. Lol! I am sure we were in something double knit and matching. Thank goodness she never dressed me in a bonnet. I didn’t look good in hats even as a child.

This blue and gold dress is perfect for where I live since those are the High Schools colors. I am surprised that this dress was still in the Cato’s store in town, much less on the clearance rack. Lol! I paid a whopping 13.99 for this jewel, and even though this isn’t going to be my Easter dress, it is still a pretty dress made in a flattering style. I wish the dress were a tad bit shorter, but not enough to bother with having it hemmed. This is a shift style dress, probably one of my favorite styles, and the gold colored stripes at the shoulders help to give me curves that don’t exist. If you have broad shoulders, then this look probably wouldn’t work for you. The strips on the shoulders bring your eyes outward, therefore making my waist appear smaller. The stripes at the hem bring your eyes downward and give the dress a cohesive look.
Because I do like matchy matchy, I added a pair of platform wedge espadrilles by Gili. These shoes are a couple of years old, but I love the unique detail of a gold chain in the platform so much that I can’t part with them.

Also, I think you already know, but just in case you have been living under a rock, I am in Los Cabo because I earned this trip from Rodan + Fields. I really like Cato. They have jeans that actually fit me.
The dress looks very nice on you. Dresses are hard for me.
I love Cabo. Maybe you will have time to visit a neat shop, Pepita’s Magic of the Moon. A trip up the coast to Todos Santos is fun, and I really like to shop in San Jose del Cabo.
Can’t wait for my trip to Cabo!
thanks, just ordered the special from rodan and fields!
