INSIDE THE DRESSING ROOM VOL.4
It is time for another try-on haul called, Inside the Dressing Room. I have only recently started doing these in-store try-on posts, but they seem a reader favorite. So, I am going to try and do more of these, which will mean that I will have to travel. I don’t have very many clothing retailers near me, so I have talked Joe into going with me for an overnight trip to try these posts with different stores.
Today’s Inside The Dressing Room is with Chico’s. This is perfect timing since Chico’s has a 30% off your purchase (excludes gift cards and final sale) starting TODAY! There is nothing like great high-quality clothing at a discount!!!
I love this animal print tunic that is in muted gray tonal colors. This tunic top is long enough to be worn with your favorite leggings, and your booty is well covered. I love a tonal outfit, and I think it always looks polished because it looks like you took effort in putting the outfit together.
This animal print tunic is a very soft knit material, and I like that it has a substantial split at the side to allow for movement. Even though the tunic is not a v-neck, which is my favorite, I like the bateau neckline. I am wearing a size 1, and it fits great. Here are some other animal prints that I found, and there is jewelry too, but I didn’t link that.
These washed-iron boyfriend jeans are such a great color! I love gray jeans since they aren’t as stark as black jeans, and I like the change from wearing blue denim. Most of my gray jeans are very washed out, so that is why I like this color so much. It is a perfect blend of black and washed-out looking.
These are boyfriend jeans, so they fit looser than the girlfriend jeans. I am wearing a size 1, but I needed to size down a tad to the .5 for these.
Okay, let’s switch it up some. I am still sticking with an animal print and a tunic length top, but this one is not as thick as the one above. This animal print tunic is a cashmere blend, so it is extra soft and a little more dressy than the gray tonal one.
The tunic is designed with a high low look, and I like that since it hugs your hips for a slimming effect. Most of the time, when tops do this, they are too short in the front to wear with leggings, but this one would still work fine.
However, if the tunic length is too long for you, then do a half tuck. You could completely tuck the sweater in, but I like the look of having a longer length in the back. I am wearing a size 1 in this tunic, and the fit is spot on!
I love the look of these faux-suede ankle pants, but the store didn’t have my size, so I am styling a .5, which is a tad too tight. A size 1 would have been perfect, which is going in my “shopping cart” right now since they are on sale. I loved the oiled look that I’ve seen on leather pants, and I think these will look great with boots.
Boy, adding this GORGEOUS and very shiny faux-fur vest to the outfit makes a huge difference. This vest looks as pretty as any vintage mink furs that I have, and I wouldn’t worry about ruining it when I wore it.
If you are going to wear a vest for warmth, it might as well make a fashion statement too. I can’t wait to wear this out to dinner with Joe, for the holidays, and even with jeans and boots! This vest is a great versatile piece that will make a statement every time you wear it. I am wearing a size 1, and it fits me great.
I think this satin popover top looks like a champagne color, but the website calls it camel. This top is gorgeous but in an understated way. The satin material gives it a luxurious look, but the top could easily be worn with jeans for a dressy/casual look. The top has 3/4 length sleeves (my favorite length) and a bateau neckline for a flattering look.
This popover top has vertical seam details in front and back that give the top visual interest. You can wear the top tucked or untucked, and it should be long enough to wear with leggings. I am wearing my usual size 1, and the top fits me great.
The pants that I am wearing are from the Brigitte So-Slimming line. These are a slim leg fit, and the pattern is a foiled herringbone print. I am wearing a size 1 in these pants, and they are too big on me, and I needed the .5 instead. I can’t find this color online, black with a dark gold herringbone, but I found them in black tonal color.
This color might hit the website shortly, so if I see them there, I’ll be sure to let you know.
I just wanted to show you how the vest looked with the outfit. This outfit looks like a great casual/dressy Holiday look, and this entire outfit came home with me!
The sales lady mentioned that I was wise to wear a neutral shoe for my try-on session, and I had to agree with her. Lol! I always try to wear a neutral shoe if possible when I do the Inside The Dressing Room hauls; it makes the photos look much nicer. I am wearing my usual size 9 in the wedge heels, and they fit great.
The remaining items worn in this post are:
- Avi Gold Hoop Earrings
- Beckett Link Bracelet
- David Yurman Cable Loop Bracelet
- Layton Gold Statement Necklace
- Franco Sarto Wedge heels
Don’t get bummed because the foiled herringbone pants aren’t on the website; I grabbed this pair, and they look great too. These are also part of the Brigitte So Slimming Line, and they feature a diamond jacquard print with button ankles.
I can’t decide which pants I like the best with the camel satin shirt and faux-fur vest. I’ll let you gurls vote on which pair you like the best, the foiled herringbone or the diamond jacquard. I am wearing the .5 in these pants, whereas I was wearing a size 1 in the foiled ones. That way, you can get an idea of the fit.
This gorgeous top is also a satin popover top, but this one has a tie-neck instead of the bateau neckline. The website calls this color Rich Mahogany, but it looks more like burnt sienna or deep rust to me.
I left the top un-tucked in the picture above so that you can see the length from the front and back. And, in this photo, I am doing a half-tuck to give you an idea of that look. No matter what you want to call this top, it looks like the perfect color for fall. I can see wearing this also with the faux-fur vest or a denim jacket and boots. This satin blouse can be dressed up or down easily. I am wearing my usual size 1, and the fit is great.

I love all the outfits you look fantastic in all of these. Of course I like the herringbone pants the best I just love the color of those. Love your post.
Love all the outfits Tania. I think I like the foiled herringbone pants best with the outfit. Love the grey animal print outfit too. Love these try-ones.
I think those grey washed jeans are gorgeous. I agree a nice change.
The first 2 outfits are my favorites. I also love the faux fur vest.
Love, love, love these in the store posts!! So many beautiful outfits from Chico’s. Please keep them coming❤️
Hi Tania! I love the gray tonal outfit. For me, I have never worn anything shiny or foiled. Looks really dressy. I am a jeans and khaki kind if girl. Although i am 72 years old I love anything in fashion and i have tried all of the trends that have come and gone . I am very conservative about my clothes and my looks but I like to spice it up at times. I am retired I. A jeans and tee shirts kind of gal. All Of the colors looks great on you. I love the color Rich Mahogany on you. We are similar in coloring. Love your blog and your style. Keep it coming! Have a great weekend! Don’t get tricked!!!🧡🍁
I LOVE the inside the dressing room posts. You do such a great job:). Thank you!
Love both outfits. They are young and fresh

The first thing that I noticed is that you look so slim! Keep up the good work. 🙂
Personally, I am not a fan of Chico’s but appreciate that you went the extra MILE for this inside the dressing room post.
Julia
I like the lighter colored pants with the vest and satin shirt. Loved the Gray first outfit, too. I always bought Chico clothes when I still worked and have many in my wardrobe now.
