HOW TO INCORPORATE PATTERNS INTO YOUR OUTFIT

Now you all know what poor pitiful Joe was subjected to the other day. Remember when he made the comment about my hair looking like our dog, Lucy’s hair? If not, then go here. Anyway, Lucy was a stray that was found walking along the railroad tracks outside my house. My SIL was visiting when she spotted Lucy outside. It took me three days to coax the little rascal to come to me and I can see why now since she is a very skittish dog. She is a mix-breed and the only thing that I can say for sure is that she does have some Yorkie in her bloodlines.The other thing that I can say for sure is that she has motley hair. It is a curly, unruly mess almost all of the time. I can give her a bath and even when you comb her out it dries looking like a messy mop. Lol! On her, it is adorable! Because I had a headache for a couple of days I had not “styled” my hair. I washed it, combed it, and then let it dry on its own which is something I never do unless I am at the beach. I tried to scrunch it some to give it a little style instead of it just hanging in a mess but as you can see it wasn’t the best effort. I get a lot of emails asking about what products I use on my hair and the answer is NONE. So, I didn’t have any products to use to help my hair scrunch. When I walked in at work looking like this you could have picked Joe’s mouth up off of the floor. He gets to see me look like this but he knows that I don’t let others see me looking like this. Until NOW that is. Lol!!!I love this old cranberry waterfall cardigan. It is quite a bit longer than most of the waterfall cardigans that I have seen in the stores. I bought this one probably 2 or 3 years ago at Cato’s Fashions and it a size too big for me. I end up having to roll up the sleeves all the time. Because it is an open front design, I can get by with a size larger or smaller than what I normally wear. Don’t be afraid to try on an item even if it is not in the size that you “think” you should wear. Remember, sizes are merely a suggestion for you to go by. Lol! The cranberry color is easier to wear for most people instead of a true red. So, if red is not your color then try a few other versions of the color and see if you can find one to suit your skin tone.

My jewelry is sparse today. I have a pair of ivory stud earrings on that were part of a Plunder Posse set. The Ennis bracelet has been one of my favorites this fall and winter. I love the vibrant colors in the bracelet and I like the hinged design. It makes it super easy to put on and take off this cuff. My couch in my living room is dark brown and I grieve for the caramel color instead. Haha! The Dooney & Bourke handbag is what I call, Old Faithful. I love the design because it is sectioned into three different parts on the inside and the color goes with almost anything. I don’t care for an open purse because I like to know that I keep my wallet in one part, my keys and headache medicine in another, and general items in the third one. If the purse is an open body type then I will add smaller wristlets and put items in those. I like easy access and I hate digging around in a purse trying to find something. Lol!

I have a pair of brown pants on from Old Navy. I think they were pixie pants but they fit me larger than what my pixie pants normally do so I was confused. The tag says pixie so I am not going to argue with them but they fit like the Harper. Go figure! I normally wear a 10 in pants size (that’s what they say they are) and if I buy the skinny version or the spandex version then I will size up to a 12. I think they must have miss sized this pair because I have not lost any weight. Here is a nice pair of pants from Old Navy in the skinny version and in the boot cut version. I chose to accessorize with a lightweight scarf instead of a necklace. I had a headache and some necklaces hurt my neck if they are heavy. The scarf I have on is made of gauze and it doesn’t weigh much at all. I love the Burberry print without the price tag.
