I’m On Top of the World

No, I am not on a cruise ship recreating the movie scene from the Titanic. Instead, I am co-hosting a linkup with Nicole Mölders called Top of the World Style. This is a first for me, and I am beyond excited! I have appeared on linkups, and have even been featured, but I have never co-hosted.For this special event, I decided to wear a new jacket I purchased at Cato’s. It is a beige faux suede moto jacket that is as soft as butter. It is cute, comfortable, and affordable. That is a trifecta for fashion. The cost is 44.99, and here is the link.I try to wear simple clothing when  possible. I work in a lumber company, and obviously I am somewhat limited to how far I can push my fashion choices. As it is, I sometimes get a few eyebrow raises. All that to just tell you I like to wear a top, a pair of pants, and a jacket or cardigan. That is almost always my “go to” type outfit. I wanted this jacket to shine, so I decided to keep the pants and top the same color. I added a scarf I bought at Target a couple of weeks ago. The colors were perfect for this jacket. Here is a similar from Target. I didn’t wear any jewelry, none, zero, zilch. I don’t know if I have ever done that before, I  must still be sick. I  did, however, decide to wear a new lipstick. It is called Vampira, and is from Kat Von D. It is a long lasting liquid lipstick and can be found at Sephora for 20.00. I read somewhere, that older women should not wear dark lipstick. I of course had to immediately go out and buy a tube. This is darker than I have ever worn before, but I don’t think it looks horrible. What do you think?The bottom half of my outfit will be familiar to those of you who have read my blog before. I carry this Dooney & Bourke purse, that I bought at a QVC outlet store, almost daily.
