50 IS NOT OLD | I CHOOSE HAPPYI choose happy. I was sitting here at my kitchen table wondering what I was going to talk about today. While I was thinking I was looking at the photo of me trying to get an inspiration. All I kept thinking was that I looked happy. That led me to wonder if it was the colors or the attitude that was causing the effect.50 IS NOT OLD | I CHOOSE HAPPYMy answer to that question is, both. I do think that there are “happy” colors or colors that seem to bring a smile to your face. There are some colors we associate with being somber and those colors might have the same effect on our attitudes. BUT, I also think our attitude can dictate the way we go through our day. Plunder has the saying, “I Choose Happy” on their boxes and I like to think that I live by this motto. We may not be able to control what is going on around us but we can control the way we react to it. Either way, I think I look happy!50 IS NOT OLD | I CHOOSE HAPPYNormally I would talk about the tank top first when I do a post. But come on, this cardigan is the star of the show and I just can’t put off talking about it. I actually purchased this top back in the early spring and I have no idea why I haven’t worn it before now. I absolutely love this sweater! It is by Quacker Factory which honestly is not one of the brands I normally like, but this sweater might make me give them another chance. I think I like how “crisp” everything is. The white is so white and the colors are so vibrant that it all just jumps off the page at you. I like the embellishments on the flowers because they are subtle and not too flashy. The size you buy is not necessarily the size you normally wear. I would normally purchase a large but this is an XS. Lol! This sweater is almost sold out but here are a couple more that I liked.

50 IS NOT OLD | I CHOOSE HAPPY My jewelry today is simple, or at least it is for me. Lol! I have my Ashton gold earrings on which are a perfect size for me. I like the design and the length of these earrings. They are showy without being too “in your face.” When I wear white I will usually grab pearls to wear. Because of the neckline of the top, I wanted to wear a longer necklace so I chose the Noah. The Noah is a pearl and silver chain lanyard that has a lobster claw for easy attachment of a pendant. I attached my Flamingo pendant today. My bracelet is the Valerie which is gold and pearl on an elastic cord. Did you notice that some of my jewelry is silver and some is gold? Feel free to mix and match, there is no set rule that says your jewelry all has to be the same tone. 50 IS NOT OLD | I CHOOSE HAPPY I can’t believe I have on a pair of bootcut jeans. It has been so long since I have worn a pair it seems odd. This is a pair by Vigoss that I bought from Maurices. I really like the dark color and the bright white stitching, it really pops. Vigoss is a premium jean so they wash and wear really well.

50 IS NOT OLD | I CHOOSE HAPPYSome of you mentioned the other day that my Kate Spade purse looked HUGE. It is a large purse but it is not crazy big. This is the size purse that I prefer because I need to carry the kitchen sink around with me. Lol! I do like that the purse has three different sections in it. I hate when my purse is one large compartment, it makes it so hard to find anything.

50 IS NOT OLD | I CHOOSE HAPPYIt was really late Wednesday night when I got off the ZOOM call so I didn’t have time to say anything about R+F in my post yesterday. I can’t believe you guys missed my daily R+F posts! Some of you even asked how the call went. so thank you very much. It went great! We had two prospects on the call and I have another one scheduled for Saturday. I really appreciate these ladies for jumping on the call with us, it is extremely helpful to us. I got an email from Corporate saying that the official launch into Australia is going to be in September. Oh my goodness, this is sooooo exciting! ? ? I wish you could hear the excitement in my typing. Lol!!! If you are in Australia and you are reading this, email me TODAY! There is still time to do pre-enrollment but only until August 30th. The ladies who got in on the ground floor in Canada now are reaping the rewards. R+F is the fastest growing skincare line in Canada and that is only after 1 year. The door is wide open still for Canada and Australia, you just need to walk through. Email me if you are interested in hearing more about this opportunity that is being dropped in your laps. fiftyisnotold@gamil.com You know when you put a post on FaceBook you wait to see if you will get any “likes” or “hearts?” That is how I feel about my blog. Leaving a comment and pinning a picture to Pinterest is my equivalent to a “like.” If you share my post on FaceBook that is a “heart.” Show me some love, gurls!!!

  1. You know Tania, I do the same thing. I see pictures of myself for my blog and I think I just look happy (even though usually my husband was over-directing me for the pictures and I wasn’t feeling happy!). I think I have a resting happy face! Anyway, I find your colors invigorating. Maybe that’s what makes it lean towards happy? Have a great weekend!

  2. I’ve been following your blog for a few months, and you have inspired me to wear more color. I have so much black in my wardrobe – so easy and it can hide faults. One time I was leaving for work and my husband asked me if I had to go to a funeral that day. He wasn’t trying to be mean- he actually thought it was true! I have been wearing brighter colors all summer. So thanks!

  3. What an uplifting message today. Thank you!

  4. I also chose Happy. It has been a hard year for me but I chose to look at all the good things that are happening in my life instead of the sad. Life’s to short not to be thankful for the good times. Your upbeat blog is one of the things on my happy list. Love that you post pics of all your fun outfits every day.

  5. WHOA!!!!! Two days in a row, so it can’t be a fluke! GF, have YOU looked at yourself in these pictures?! Did YOU compare them to this time last year? TANIA, you do look different…better!
Is that possible? Yes, Ma’am!!! R&F is working its magic on you! ??

My oldest daughter swears by it! It has cleared her pregnancy mask from over ten years ago!

Have a fabulous weekend with your daughter, folks and your Grandpa! Safe and happy travels!
Take gobs of pics! TGIF, Beautiful Girl! ???????

  6. I am an absolute believer that colors can make us happy!! In fact, aren’t there tons of psychological studies that show how colors affect our moods??
