For those of you who’ve been following along, you know that I’ve been having fun with the Taylor Swift phenomenon. Love her or not, she’s everywhere! Why should the dressing-up fun be just for young Swifties? Today, I’m showing you how to wear Taylor Swift Red-Era inspired outfits.

This era is named after her album RED, so you can be sure I’ve included some red items, but the aesthetic also included argyle, a vintage feel, and an iconic hat. More about that later!

This classic Double Breasted Boiled Wool Blend Coat will be one you can wear for years. It would look great with a simple T-shirt and a pair of jeans. You’ll look chic and elegant in this coat, no matter how you wear it.

How To Wear Taylor Swift Red-Era Inspired Outfits -Red Pants

I LOVE these pants from Chico’s! The long, lean look is just so chic to me. I’d pair this with a crisp black shirt or sweater. I love the Sailor vibe and the vibrant color. Red is always trending at this time of the year, and these would be great for the holidays.

If you prefer a slimmer silhouette, these stretch corduroy pants from Talbots are gorgeous. I have these pants in several colors. I love the fit and style, and they wash and wear really well. I don’t currently own the red pair, but they would look so cute this winter.

How To Wear Taylor Swift Red-Era Inspired Outfits -Argyle

I love Argyle! I’m not a preppy dresser, but Argyle is a pattern that speaks to me. I think this vest and cardigan are modern looking. I added the faux leather leggings to the look which gave the look an edgy vibe.

Oversized Argyle Sweater

This oversized argyle sweater may seem like an odd choice, but ask a Swiftie, and they will reassure you. On Red, there’s a song called All Too Well, and in the accompanying video, the actress wears a brown argyle sweater very similar to this one. If you’re not into her music, don’t worry. Just know that it’s a very cute sweater and would look great with jeans or leggings!

Vests are absolutely on trend this season, and this red and white argyle sweater is super cute. It also comes in black and white which looks a LOT like the one I’m wearing above. Dress it up with black pants or a skirt, or wear it with jeans and tall boots for a more casual look.

How cute is this hat?! You don’t have to be a fan to acknowledge that it is super stylish. It doesn’t matter if you don’t know lyric one, just wear it and look fabulous! It comes in several other colors and is just $15 dollars!

Taylor has quite a lot to say about a scarf she wore and never got back, but you don’t have to know the song to rock a great red scarf! You know I love a pop of color, and this would look great with just about any winter coat – white, camel, black, plaid – you name it! It’s a very inexpensive way to elevate basic outerwear.

How To Wear Taylor Swift Red-Era Inspired Outfits -Camel

I’ve said it many times, but I love a classic camel coat. This wool coat from J Crew looks amazing! I think it’s a great length. Camel will never go out of style and is also available in black and white. Feeling bold? Check it out in pink!

If you’re looking for a camel coat that won’t break the bank, this double-breasted option from Amazon should fit the bill nicely. If camel isn’t your favorite, look at the other versions. It’s available in several solid colors but also plaids. Plus, it has been purchased a lot and has great reviews.

How To Wear Taylor Swift Red-Era Inspired Outfits -Vintage

The Red-Era aesthetic included a vintage vibe, which is why I love this dress. It’s vintage-inspired and red; what more could you ask for? The fit and flare silhouette is very flattering, and it’s under $50 dollars. How pretty would this be at a holiday party!

Here’s a video from the Red Album (Taylor’s Version) that made all of the Swifties lose their mind. Is it about Jake Gyllenhaal? Who knows. But the fashion is ta-dow. (Be warned. There are some bad words.)

Wow, that’s a lot of red! I really like the simplicity of the dress style; it makes the bow really stand out. The boiled wool jacket is definitely in style, but not too trendy, so I can see it becoming a permanent wardrobe item.
