HOW TO WEAR NEUTRALS IN THE FALL
Before I begin today’s post, I have to tell you a good story on Joe from this weekend. When Joe comes home for the night, he likes to change into his “sleeping uniform,” aka a t-shirt and boxers, and then relax and play on his computer. But, he has this strange habit of wanting to change in the computer room. He will walk into the bedroom, get the t-shirt and boxers, and come all the way back into the computer room to change his clothes. I think it is strange, but I’ve given up on trying to change him after 30+ years. Lol!
This weekend, our granddaughter Emersyn had come to spend Friday night with us. On Saturday, she was playing in his office and wanted to raise the blinds. I asked her if she remembered how to raise them and make them stay up, and she showed me that she did. After she had gone back to her house, Joe came home and went into the office to change his clothes. Once he finished putting on the t-shirt and boxers, he turned around to see that the blinds were open and that anyone could see inside the house. After I finally wiped all the tears from my eyes, I reminded him that we had just installed a 6′ foot fence on that side of the house, so I thought that the neighbors were spared the peep show. He was not amused, but I sure was!!! Lol!!!
This adorable animal print scalloped edge camisole is perfect for any time of the year. I can wear this camisole with shorts in the summer, and it will look adorable. One of the reasons I love camisoles is that they are so versatile, and you can add a coat or cardigan to wear them all winter long. The scalloped hem adds a unique detail that sets this cami apart from others, and it is a tad bit dressier than some that I’ve seen before. I am wearing a large in this camisole, and I think that it is the perfect fit. I also bought THIS camisole in a bright green, and it comes in several different prints if you have grown tired of animal prints.
You heard me say it before, but this deserves to be repeated. YOU NEED A DENIM JACKET! I hope that you have already purchased at least one denim jacket, but if not, then rectify that today. I have a couple of denim jackets because I wanted a lighter colored one and the dark wash version. This jacket is a classic wardrobe staple, and it can be worn with anything at any time. For some odd reason, a denim jacket is pretty much acceptable for an occasion. Here is one of my favorite posts where I’m wearing a denim jacket with a skirt. The jacket that I am wearing today is from Talbots, and I am wearing a size large. I like to size up in jackets if I plan on wearing a long sleeve shirt or sweater under them.
These faux suede leggings by Blanknyc are a beautiful fall color. I think these would look gorgeous tucked inside a pair of leather knee boots. The only thing that I have against these faux suede leggings is that they need to be dry cleaned. But, remember, I live in a tiny town, and I don’t have an accessible dry cleaner, which is an issue for me. I saw some reviews where people complained that the zipper, which is in the back, slides down when you sit. However, I did not experience that at all, wore them. I am wearing a size 30, so these run true to size.
The block heel sandals are from Target, and I was thrilled that I had found the cork heels for you. The cork design is no longer on the website, but there are some other colors that you might like. I am wearing my usual size 9, and they fit me perfectly. Here is where you can look at the other available colors.
You know that I think accessories make an outfit, and my jewelry and sunglasses are a great example of that. The dark tortoise sunglasses are a pair that I’ve had for a while, and they were a gift from my Energizer Bunny Friend. As for my jewelry, let’s start at the top and work our way down. My “fat” goldtone earrings are the KAIA hoops. These earrings make a statement, but they are not heavy, and they don’t hurt my ears. My dainty cross is a gold vermeil thin chain and a gold vermeil cross charm. The large statement bib necklace is GORGEOUS! I love this heavy necklace, and it never fails to get compliments. The necklace is low stock, so if you’ve been eyeing this necklace, don’t tarry too long. Finally, I am wearing the Beckett large link bracelet (no longer in stock), the Maggie Filigree Bangle, and the Ryder multi-chain magnetic bracelet. The Ryder bracelet is still out of stock, but you can be put on the “notify me” list for when they get it back in stock.
Some photos turn out like this one. Lol! On a windy day, you might end up with a flag blocking your face. Anyway, I wanted to give you the info on the Tory Burch handbag that I am carrying. I love the size of this bag, and I love the separated compartments that make it easy to organize all of your belongings. This was a Nordstrom Anniversary Sale purchase, but you can now get it at 40% off! That is a big saving on a handbag that you will carry for years.
I get multiple messages a week asking me about my foundation. They are asking because they think that my foundation is what my secret is for great-looking skin. My secret is no secret, and I know that you’ve heard me shouting from the roof-tops about the skincare that I use. I try lots of skincare products because I have companies send me products to try. I always go back to my R+F products because I’ve never found ANYTHING better or gives me results. I didn’t become an R+F consultant to see products; I became a consultant to get the best price on skincare that I knew was working for me. However, nothing makes me happier than when someone R+F and messages me about how thankful they are that I told them about my love of the products.
I can’t speak for everyone, but I am one happy camper to have stopped the aging process. My goal is to turn back the hands of time, and if you want to do that also, then let’s get you started. I was given TEN coupons that I can give out to give ten ladies FREE Enrollment as my Preferred Customer. That is a savings of 19.95! I suggest taking the solutions tool first so that we can discuss your needs, and then if you are serious about ordering, I’ll give you a coupon.
Several of you have mentioned that you love the addition of the Bible verses at the end of each blog post. And, you have noticed that I don’t add them when I do a sponsored post. The verses are personal to me, and they are how I choose to represent myself. However, I wouldn’t feel right posting them on a post for a brand since I don’t know their personal beliefs. But, if you like the verses, then you can feel free to share them with your network and keep spreading the WORD.
I hope that you have enjoyed today’s post and that you will tell all of your friends about my blog.

My husband keeps his sleeping clothes in the bathroom on top of the clean stack of towels and his work shoes in the office. The man has a dresser and a closet.
I have subscribed 2times recently but I still haven’t received any notices in my email 🙁
Polly, did you get the email that makes you confirm that you want to sign up? If you didn’t see the email, then look in the junk, promotions, or spam folder since that is usually where it goes.
Love those suede leggings! that is too funny with Joe!
Joe is great for my blog, he gives me plenty to talk about. Lol!
Love your story on Joe. My husband gets dressed in the kitchen (not sure why). And your outfit is awesome. I just bought a tank top like that this weekend
Lol! Marlene, my mother also gets dressed in the kitchen. What is wrong with these people??? Lol!
I thought all normal people got dressed in the kitchen.
Lol! I am not going to say a thing to this comment. Lol!
Joe’s peep show made me laugh! My husband makes sure the bedroom door and blinds are closed before dressing, then opens the the blinds and door when he leaves the bedroom. The problem is he does that when I”m in the shower and I’ve walked out naked for all to see!
Janet, I am glad that I had already swallowed my sip of coffee. Lol! I can see that being something that Joe would do also. Hahaha!
