HOW TO WEAR IT NOW AND LATER IN THE YEAR
Are the temperatures playing games with anyone else but me? One day it is freezing, and I can see my breath when I go outside in the mornings. The very next day, I am burning up, and the temperatures are in the 80s. What the heck, Mother Nature??? Didn’t you get the memo that it is sweater weather? If you are also struggling with this, you’ll love today’s post which shows you how to wear it now and later.
The it that I am talking about, is a cute scalloped camisole. The reason that I wanted to do a now and later post with this camisole, is because the camisole is very summery looking. I wanted to show you that you could wear a summer item, and then wear it later for fall with just a few tweaks.
I love this cami, and I think the colors are beautiful. Is it just me, or do the rest of you think that the print looks like flower petals? The hem and the neckline are both scalloped, and that is a detail that stands out to me.
Here is a view of the straps, which happen to be adjustable. I really like adjustable straps since they let you determine how deep you want the V of the cami to be. I am wearing a large, and I like the way that the camisole fits.
WARNING! I am letting you know right now that this camisole is very, very limited. This will be a “the early bird gets the worm” top. I hope that I can find some other tops that you will like just as much.
I wore the same jewelry with both outfits, so you will only have to see me link to my jewelry this one time. Lol!
For this summery look, I decided to wear a pair of white crop jeans. I took these photos before I left for Nashville, and I’ve forgotten which pair of white jeans that I have on. Lol! I am thinking that it is between a pair of no-stain jeans from Chicos, JJill, or maybe from Talbots. The reason that I thought it might be one of these is that they are my 3 favorite pairs. But, I’ll link to a few more since it is hard to find white jeans this time of the year.
This open-front duster is very lightweight and sure makes a statement. You could wear a duster like this as a bathing suit cover-up also, so that gives it double-duty. The duster comes in blue and gray also, but they are all limited on how many are still available.
Just ignore the Tory Burch crossbody, it is already sold out. UGH! I don’t know why I even bothered with this post.
I know why I bothered, I have waited and waited for this plum faux-suede moto jacket to hit the website!!! Oh, My WORD! This deep plum moto jacket is gorgeous, and I am not even kidding. The gold zippers elevate the style jacket and give it a luxurious look.
Here is a very up close look at the jacket, and you can see that the material looks so close to real suede that it isn’t funny. But, this jacket is not stiff and heavy like some true suede jackets can be.
This is the length of the jacket, so it is longer than some of the black leather moto jackets you see. I feel like this is a dressier look, and I appreciate the extra length of the jacket. I am wearing my usual size 1, and the jacket fits perfectly!
Once again, I can’t remember what pair of jeans that I have on. I know that it is a new pair that I recently bought, so I went through my receipts and linked to the ones that had inventory and looked similar. I am thinking that this is a Jen7 pair, and I have included it in the widget below. I know that I would be wearing a size 10 or a 30, since those are the sizes that I wear.
I know what boots I am wearing!!! Woopie, I finally remember something. These are my Tory Burch Chelsea Lug Boots, but they are sold out. At this point, you just have to laugh. Here are some “similar” boots, it is the best that I could do.
I hope that you at least got some inspiration from this post that can help you learn to wear items now and later in the year. Be sure to leave a comment, so that I will feel better after this post crashed and burned.
I saw that my sponsored post with Walmart confused some of you. Walmart asked me to try L’Oreal products, and one of the products that I tried was the Midnight Serum. The confusion happened because I am a true lover and user of Rodan + Fields products. Since early 2016, I’ve been using RF products, and I became a consultant to get the best possible price and be able to get them for you also.
I would LOVE for everyone reading this post to use these products, but I know that isn’t going to happen. These products are amazing, they work, but they are on the expensive side. So, I said that I would try other products “for you”, but “I” am going to be using RF!!!
In fact, while I was in Nashville last week, I was invited to a ZOOM call with the founders of Rodan + Fields, Katie Rodan, and Kathy Fields. In the call, someone asked what the number one thing that you could do for your skin was. Kathy answered that sunscreen and protecting your skin from the sun was the #1 thing that you could do to help your skin. Katie had a different answer, and it was one that has made me get my butt in gear. She said that “rolling” every night was the best thing to help aging skin.
If you are not familiar with that term, she was referring to the AMP Derma-Roller that I have, but don’t use very often. So, I have decided that for the next 60 days, I am going to faithfully use my roller nightly, along with my regular regimen that I use. If anyone wants to join me in this challenge, you would need the AMP MD System. To help you out with this purchase, I will reimburse you $25.00 when you purchase this as my Preferred Customer. PLUS, at the end of 60 days, I will gift a FREE Intensive Renewing Serum to the person with the best results. That is a gift worth $102.00!!!

Love the post, Tania! Thanks for showing me how to extend my wardrobe through seasons. I’m learning some great style tips from you. And the faux suede jacket is gorgeous on you. Love the entire look!
I love be color plum I think and the different way you styled the outfits. I live here in Florida so these are great ideas for me. One question I do have is there a rule of when to stop wearing white. I wear it almost all year just different shades.
Stella, the no white after Labor Day rule is no longer applicable, you can wear it whenever you want!
I am leaving for long-weekend cruise on Oct 8 from Long Beach, CA. It seems like I should wear “autumn clothes” but also that I should pack my white capris and summery tops. Thoughts?
I love both outfits! Everything can be sold out for me, I don’t have any money to spend anyway! Ha!
Loved these fabulous colors..even for fall. Thanks for your hard work.
The cami is beautiful and both jacket and open front duster are a perfect compliment for the now and later.
That is a gorgeous jacket and it looks so good with that camisole. The color of it though looks so different on the Chico’s website. I like how the color looks on your post, but not so much on the Chico’s. Is the difference just due to the outside lighting?
I am glad you went ahead with the post. The colors are great! It is nice to see ways to take an item from one season to the next. It gives me ideas on items I already have in my closet. Plus you gave us other options for the items that are sold out. Thanks!
Too funny! Hey you can’t help it that you have such great taste in style!! I love that cami! I love how authentic you are.
That jacket is gorgeous and thanks for the idea with the camisole. I just bought a LIlly one on their sale and was thinking I had to put it away for the season.
You look so good in that last photo! Such good colors for you. I don’t ordinarily like a jacket that isn’t bomber or blue jean but this one is worth a second look,
I don’t read your blog to buy what you’re wearing, although I have purchased a couple of items. The inspiration is still there, so it’s all okay. Thanks for all your hard work!
What a beautiful camisole! As much as I really like both looks, my favorite is the one with the motto jacket. That jacket is gorgeous! I bet it is so frustrating to have things sell out that you have in your posts, but it’s not your fault, so we don’t hold it against you. Have a great day!
Love the “Now and Later” posts! I find them really helpful. Sometimes I can only see one way to wear something.
I’m crazy about that plum jacket! I haven’t seen that colour anywhere.
Oh my, I LOVE that plum jacket. you look great as always and both looks are cute.
I LOVE the purple jacket!! Where did you find this? Great color on you.
I forgot to add the link, but I went in and updated the post. Here is the link: https://shopstyle.it/l/byyOU
Your best post ever! Love the two different looks with the same cami!
Beautiful colors! Great ideas too! Question: how tall are you? I wear similar sizes as you but I think you are a few inches taller than me ( I’m 5’3”) .
Love your style and blog! Tina
Yes, I am a few inches taller. I am 5’6″ tall.
Love these outfits. The purple looks great on you. I am a brunette with highlights and I think maybe I could wear this color as well.
The cami, duster and the jacket are my favorite!
Where did you get the jacket?
Sorry, Tammy, that I forgot the link, here it is: https://shopstyle.it/l/byyOU
Love the moto jacket! What bra do you like to wear with this type of camisole?
Patti, if I know that I’m not taking off my cardigan or jacket, then I don’t worry about it. But, if I need a strapless bra, I’ve been wearing this one from Spanx, and it is great. https://shopstyle.it/l/byyQb
You look like a million $$ in that color!!
