How To Wear Black And Brown Together For The Holidays
I never thought I would say this, but I don’t want another sales email in my inbox. Whew, I’m glad that today is Cyber Monday, and hopefully, the chaos will calm down. I got a lot of good deals, but the whole thing is overwhelming. Did you buy a lot on Black Friday? Are you finished with your Christmas shopping? Today I will show you how to wear black and brown together for the holidays.
Brown and black is a color combination many people shy away from. I love pairing these two colors together; they create a classic look. Because there have been so many sales this past week, many items are limited in size. Adding the faux fur vest takes this outfit to a new level. The vine print ruffle tie-neck blouse is gorgeous and has just a tiny bit of shimmer in it. I’m wearing a size medium in the blouse, which fits me perfectly. It looks great for the holidays, but you’ll wear this vest more than you think. I’m wearing a medium vest, and it’s very generously sized. These black corduroy jeans fit me to a tee. The jeans come in several colors, and I also have them in twig. I’m wearing a size 8; I think these run true to size. So many of you want flats that still look dressy, and this pointy-toe pair is for you. The cute bow has a tiny bit of shimmer, which is great for the holidays but not too overpowering for everyday wear. These shoes run true to size; I’m wearing my usual size 9.
You may already have something similar to this black and brown outfit in your closet. It doesn’t have any shimmer or fur, but it could still be worn to a holiday event and look great. I love wearing a velvet blazer for the holidays, but I think it looks great for everyday wear with jeans. It adds a little class to your outfit but is not overly dressy. Love the look & color combinations. When my hair grew back after chemo I left it gray. I’m perfectly content with my choice & embraced my new color. I do have brown / beige / cream colored items in my wardrobe that I hate to part with but not certain if it looks right with the gray hair color!

Outfit #1 is too bulky and hot looking for me. I love the vest, but I am hot-natured and generally wear short sleeves or lightweight tops year round, so I don’t see me ever wearing it. I think outfit #2 is more flattering and comfortable looking. I’m totally loving the animal prints this year.

I really like both of these outfits and think you look very nice in both. You could also carry the black and taupe handbag from Chico’s with the 2nd outfit that both of us have. All of my Christmas shopping has been done for several weeks and all of the gifts are wrapped and under the tree.
