HOW TO WEAR A T-SHIRT AND LOOK STYLISH

This is it, the last day of 2019. Like every year, here have been good times and bad times. I am a positive person by nature, so I choose to only concentrate on the good times, but learn from the bad times. There are usually lessons that can be learned from both situations if you look long and hard enough. One lesson that I recently learned is not to change email providers. Lol! Whew! That sure turned out to be a mess!
I am already starting to focus on 2020, and what I want to accomplish in the coming year. I want to encourage each of you to take just a few minutes and write down goals for the coming year. These are different from resolutions which usually require quitting something, or starting something. These are things that only require moving forward toward an end result. The end result might be five years down the road, but as long as you are moving forward, then you are making progress. While I am trying to embrace “content” as my word of the year, I am also going to incorporate a motto of “progress over perfection.” It may not be perfect, (most things aren’t) but I am moving forward. Don’t look back, you are not going that way. One step at a time will get you to where you are going.
I thought that I should end the year on a colorful note. Red is a color that I have grown to love over the past few years. When I was younger, I refused to wear red for fear that someone might look at me. Red is a powerful color, and it demands attention. Attention was the last thing that I wanted, and I usually tried to blend into the background. I have had this bright red jacket for a couple of years, and I like the cropped length and the ruched sleeves.

I love this graphic long-sleeve tee, and even though I have never been to Paris, I can dream about it when I wear this top. The pop of color in the tee is a fabulous look, and there are some subtle beading details that also make the top special. It is super soft and it feels great against my skin. The Avi large silver hoop from Kendra Scott has sure become my go-to when I am wearing silver. I love these large, somewhat twisted, earrings and they create a huge statement. I first saw these when I was in Nashville back in November, and I took advantage of a sale to purchase them. There is a 25% off sale going on, but it ends on 01/01. The black leather pumps are a classic design that you can wear for years and years. These are a pair by Coach, but almost every brand will have a black pump in their shoe lineup. I love wearing pumps with skinny pants, and I think they look great when you are wearing blue jeans. Pumps can really elevate anything you wear to a whole new level of style.

The Burberry purse is one that I bought at a luxury consignment shop. I am not familiar with this brand enough to know if the purse is real or not, but I liked the pattern and thought it was at a good price. The black velveteen pants are so slimming. I picked these up at Talbots when I was at the beach, and I love the way that they fit. They are soft and comfortable to wear, and I feel like I have lost weight when I wear them. Lol! You might see me in these all the time. Haha! They are high-waisted, which helps with the slimming part, and they are a straight leg style. These are on sale, and they come in several colors, but the sizes are starting to get limited.
