Linen is my fabric of choice in spring and summer. I love wearing it because it is cooling, and I even love the wrinkles. Maybe it is because I see a few more wrinkles when I look in the mirror, but I’m embracing linen with a newfound love. I have been looking for a new navy linen blazer to replace one that I’ve had for years since it is faded and shabby-looking. I found exactly what I was looking for at Talbots, along with a pair of white linen wide-leg pants. Here are two ways I’ll be wearing the pants for summer.

Chic, crisp, and clean-looking—that perfectly describes these wide-leg white linen pants. They are a wonderful, classic piece of clothing that can be worn for years and can be dressed up or down. I love the flowy, effortless-looking style of these pants. They remind me of old-school movie stars, and I can see Maureen O’Hara walking the streets of Hollywood in pants like these. I’m wearing my usual size 8, and these fit me perfectly.

I added a striped Effortless Jersey Raglan Tee in navy and white. The square neckline adds a modern touch to the outfit. The top has elbow-length sleeves that are great for spring and summer and cover the upper arms, which can be a problem area for many women. The jersey material is perfect for on-the-go looks and is great for work or play. I’m wearing a medium, and the fit is perfect.

I was so happy when I found this Classic Linen Blazer! This blazer will become a staple in my closet that will be worn in multiple ways. One of my favorite things to do is wear a blazer with jeans. Blazers elevate everything you pair them with, and a casual/elevated look is my favorite way to dress. Although I rarely wear a blazer buttoned, I wanted to show you how it looks when worn that way. I’m wearing a size 10, and it fits me great.

The blazer is a classic style with a tailored fit. Although oversized clothing is trending, I prefer my blazers to fit closer to my body.

I added the Raffia Crossbody Bag which is the perfect size to hold all my essentials. I love large totes, but if I’m shopping, sightseeing, etc., I want a smaller bag that I can securely wear across my body. My phone, small wallet, lip gloss, sunglasses, and keys are usually all I need, and they fit in this easily.

The Nappa Slingback Flats in ivory and navy are perfect for the classic look I wanted. I love pointed-toe shoes since they elongate my legs, and the slingback design is one I wear all the time. These fit true to size, and the memory foam footbed makes them comfortable to walk in for extended periods of time.

Style White Linen Wide-Leg Pants With A Pop Of Color

The first way I wore the white linen wide-leg pants for spring and summer was a classic style. But I’m a color-loving girl, so I wanted to style them with a pop of color.

This Spring Floral V-neck Pullover in pink and orange grabbed my attention. I love the color combination, and the white in the print looks perfect styled with the white linen pants. This sweater is lightweight and so soft! I love everything about this sweater, and I’ll be wearing it on repeat this year. It will look great with jeans, shorts, or capris. I’m wearing a medium, and it fits me perfectly.

The sweater hits me on the hips, which is the length I prefer. I can tuck the sweater in if I want, and it is long enough that I won’t feel the need to tug or pull it down.

The Leather Trim Geo Straw Tote is a good medium-sized handbag. There are times when you need to carry more than just the essentials, and this size bag is perfect. I normally carry small pouches inside totes like this to keep my things separated. Yesterday, my granddaughter asked for chapstick and a ponytail holder, and her friend needed a pair of scissors. Yes, I had all that in my bag. Lol! I wasn’t even a Boy Scout, but I am always prepared.
