One day I am going to have a HUGE house with a pool that has waterfalls. At least, that is what my granddaughter just told me. In fact, she is going to BUY me that house when she is 8 years old. Since she is turning 7 next week, it sounds like I’ll be getting my house pretty soon. Lol! She recently started doing chores around the house for me and earning money. Today, she got her little money stash out to count and declared that she was going to be a Billionaire by the time that she is 8.

She had made her a piggy bank out of a box that she found last week. She decorated it with markers and stickers and thought it was gorgeous. However, she was looking through a drawer and found an old Vera Bradley wallet of mine. She asked if she could have the wallet, and once I said that she could, she transferred all of her hard-earned cash into the wallet. When she was finished counting, she discovered that she had $26.30, and that was when she declared, “I am going to buy you a huge house with all of my money. It is going to have a pool with waterfalls, and it is going to cost $10,000.00!” Yep, you read that correctly. Apparently, you can buy a massive house with a pool that has waterfalls for ten thousand dollars. Oh, she is also going to buy me a new car that costs $3,000.00. Lol!

This post is sponsored by Chico’s, and I will receive compensation, but the opinions expressed are my own.

I have been on a linen craze lately. Wearing linen in the summer months is my favorite since it is so cooling. I bought Joe a linen polo shirt several years ago, and he loved it so much that he wore it to shreds. I am not joking, this poor shirt had little holes all over it, and he refused to stop wearing it since it kept him so cool. Linen has sure come a long way in the last several years. In the past, you couldn’t wear anything linen without it looking like a wrinkled mess. Wrinkles are part of the character of linen, but I don’t want so many lines that it takes away from the look of the garment. The black linen sleeveless tunic that I have on is part of their No-Iron Linen line.

I love the classic style of this tunic, and how it has the open latticework at the neckline for a unique detail. Even though this tunic is linen, it is still machine washable, and that is a huge plus in my book. I am wearing a size 1, which is a size 8-10 in most brands, and I think it is a perfect fit.

Adding bright colors, or a brightly colored print is the easiest way to spice up a black and white outfit. I wanted to add color to this outfit, so I added this necklace of a long strand of freshwater pearls and simulated turquoise. The two-tone style of the necklace was what intrigued me, plus I love that the necklace can be doubled for a completely different look. Pearls go with everything, and turquoise is perfect in summer and fall so that you will get a lot of wear from this necklace. I also added the matching turquoise and pearl bracelet set, which comes with two stretch bracelets. For my earrings, I added these white beaded drop hoop earrings. These lightweight earrings will go with everything and add a touch of whimsy and charm. I love the size of these earrings; they are big enough to be seen, but not so big that you feel like everyone is looking at you. Lol!

Did you notice the ocean-print handbag that I am carrying? It has a secret inside that will be sure to grab your attention. This bag has simulated bamboo handles, and it is large enough to hold a phone, wallet, keys, and a pareo. What is a pareo? I asked the same thing, and a quick Google search led me to find out that it was a Tahitian word for a wraparound skirt.

Just because it is a wraparound skirt, it doesn’t mean that you can’t use it in other ways. This wrap is a lightweight rayon material and is 64″L x 43″W large. It can be used as a skirt, a beach coverup, or as a wraparound dress.

Since I am always cold, I thought this would be perfect for taking with you anytime you are eating out, or walking around outside. You can easily throw this pareo over your shoulders for a little added warmth. You can bet that this will be going with me once I get to go to the beach again.

I absolutely love the fit of these So Slimming white capri pants, and they are the perfect length. These capri pants look great with heels for a dress-up look, and they also look great with flats and sandals for a more casual look. I am wearing a size .5 in these, and they fit me great. I usually wear a size 10, but in Chico’s pants, I need to size down. Be sure to check out the other colors that are available in these pants.
