HOW TO SHOP YOUR CLOSET FOR DIFFERENT LOOKS

What a crazy couple of days we have had here in Virginia. Joe and I are generally in bed by 10:00 each night, but I haven’t been to bed a night before midnight this week. Joe, however, has been sound asleep each night right on time. Lol! I have been setting up with my daughter, talking and plotting for ways to catch her kitty cat that has been missing since Sunday, maybe even longer. We caught a glimpse of him on a game camera the other night, and we were thrilled to know that he was alive.
Last night, we moved the cameras so that we could hopefully get a glimpse of where he was hiding so that we could track him. Ashleigh bundled up in her winter gear and sat outside on the porch for over an hour in 33-degree temperatures without talking, texting, or playing on the phone. She hoped that Tom would walk up on the porch without seeing her so that she could grab him. But, the cold finally forced her inside without ever seeing Tom.

I was almost ready for bed when I walked out into the room where Tom always stayed. It has a large french door that opens out to my driveway. The moon was so bright last night that you could see everything in my driveway and yard. I yelled for Ashleigh to come into the room with me so that we could watch for him in the warmth of my house. In about fifteen minutes, Tom came slinking right in front of Ashleigh and me on his way to the front porch. Ashleigh went around to the front door, and I snuck out the back door. He heard us coming, so he ducked inside my hedges against the house. Look who is home!!!! Silly cat, he could have been home days ago if he would have just come to us when we called. He walked around the house as if nothing had ever happened. My dog, Lucy, was pleased to see him and wouldn’t quit smelling of him. I hope Lucy doesn’t get too attached because Ashleigh has intentions to fly him back to Alaska with her. I am going to be sad to see him go, but I think that Joe is off in another room doing a happy dance. Lol!
I am doing the happy dance too, but for a different reason. Haha! I couldn’t wait to show you another version of the graphic tee from Chico’s. It was a very popular tee, and unfortunately, it is already sold out. But, the “shirt” is not what I want you to focus on; it is the idea of taking one item and changing up your look. It wouldn’t have mattered if the shirt was a solid white tee, all of the looks would work just as well. You need to concentrate on the “graphic” if you decide to buy one and pick out something to make as the focus. I picked the red of the lady in this shirt, so I added items to my look to bring out that color.

The black jacket has silver buttons, so I added silver jewelry today. My Kendra Scott Avi Hoop earrings are such a cool pair of earrings. They are huge and a real statement! I saw these on another blogger when we went to Nashville for a conference, so I immediately had to have them. These are rhodium plated over brass, and they are a nice weight. I must have a knack for picking items that are extremely popular because these jeans are only available in sizes 18, 18, and 20. These are the So Slimming girlfriend ankle jeans from Chico’s, and I loved the jeans. But, I ordered a size 1.5, which is supposed to be a size 10, and they are too big on me. I ended up having to send them back, and since they were already sold out of the size 1, I didn’t even get to get a pair for myself. BUMMER! This pair of jeans do come in a couple of other colors that have sizes available, so be sure to check that out.

As I said earlier in the post, I pick out parts of a top that I want to emphasize. So, I added the black denim jacket, pumps, and handbag to tie all of that together with the black on the shirt. I don’t wear a lot of denim jackets because they tend to be too stiff, in my opinion. I like it when my jackets have stretch, and I don’t want to feel confined. This jacket meets all of my expectations, and it fits great. I love this time of the year because it seems like everything is on sale, including this jacket. ? Here is the link.
I have had the Emma Fox black leather bag for a looooong time. This brand of handbags is heavy and durable, and I love them. The leather is also very soft, and I feel like the designs are elegant. I have a couple of different styles of bags from this brand, but I haven’t seen any in the stores lately. TJ Maxx used to carry this brand, but I haven’t found any there recently. I couldn’t find these bags online anywhere except for places like eBay or Poshmark. The one thing that I am a sucker for is a nice quality handbag. Here are a few that you will love.
