I am a romantic at heart. I love all things girly, and I love LOVE! Valentine’s Day is one holiday that makes me happy, and I love all the adorable clothing that is in the stores. I’ll be focusing on Valentine’s Day for several days, but don’t worry, it is not going to be all about wearing hearts. Let’s start this series off with how to rock the casual Valentine’s Day look.

How To Rock The Casual Valentine’s Day Look – Sequin Tee

Jeans and a T-shirt create the perfect casual outfit. This combination works for all occasions, not just Valentine’s Day. Since Valentine’s Day is in February, the odds are you would also need to add a cardigan or blazer to your look.

I added a black Long Blazer to my outfit, which elevated the look but kept it casual. Every woman needs a black blazer in their closet. (read this post for the other essentials you need) You can wear a black blazer with pants, dresses, shorts, skirts, and jeans. In other words, it is extremely versatile.

I love adding festive accessories to my outfits. You don’t have to dress all in hearts (more on that in the next few days) to still have a Valentine’s Day themed look. Look how adorable this pair of long dangly LOVE earrings are! These work for Valentine’s Day, but you can wear them any time you want to show your love of life.

The Sequined Lips T-Shirt is waaay too cute! You can wear this all year long, but I think it looks great for Valentine’s Day. I always order a large in T-shirts because I’m afraid they will shrink. But the shirt is too big for me, and I needed a medium instead.

How To Rock The Casual Valentine’s Day Look – Graphic Heart Tee

I bet hearts are the first thing that comes to your mind when you think of Valentine’s Day clothing. Have you heard of wearing your heart on your sleeve? Well, this casual Valentine’s Day look is all about wearing my heart on my chest.

I love this pale pink tee. The color is so soft and feminine, and I love the scattered hearts that converge to create a large heart. It is like all your friends and family coming together that make your heart complete. This is the thickest tee of the ones I ordered and seems to be the best quality. It is also a little big on me…maybe I need to start ordering a medium instead of a large. 🤔

Talk about adorable!!! These small bow and faux pearl heart earrings are the cutest! They are lightweight, so they don’t tug on your ear. The bow is metal and will keep its shape, and the faux pearl heart dangles to create movement.

How To Rock The Casual Valentine’s Day Look – LOVE Tee

My legs look so long and lean in this photo! This is why I love wearing pointy toe neutral shoes with my jeans. I know that the rounded toe is more trendy, but they don’t create the same effect that pointy toe shoes do. Sometimes I pay no attention to the trends, and instead wear what I think looks best on me.

How do you LOVE this tee? Lol! I think the different prints that create the word love are fabulous. Notice the leopard print? I could have included this tee in my How To Wear Leopard Print Over 50 post. This is an easy way to include leopard print without having it be too bold.

Here is another cute pair of earrings. These heart earrings, along with all the others I’ve shown, are part of a six-pack that is under $15! You can wear them now and later, and each pair is only $2.50. The small Kendra Scott heart necklace is several years old, but you can find lots of heart jewelry here.

Here is a better look at the jeans I wore with all these Valentine’s Day T-shirts. I love the color of these jeans, and they fit me great. The side slit makes wearing ankle boots easier, but it looks weird to me. I understand why the slit is there, but I’m not sure I like the slit. What do you, Gurls, think?

How To Rock The Casual Valentine’s Day Look – Stripes

Here is another example of pairing a T-shirt and jeans with a blazer. As I’ve mentioned a few thousand times before, adding a blazer elevates your look. Instead of being a simply casual look, it is now an elevated casual look. Can you tell the difference?

The navy Original schoolboy blazer is one that I’ve had for a few years, and I wear it a lot. Like the black blazer above, it can be worn with almost anything. This blazer is a little thicker and better quality than the black one, and it isn’t as long.

The Amour striped tee looks a little more elevated than the other tees. Is it because of the colors and the stripes? I think the color block and stripes elevate the tee, and the pink wording is the perfect amount of a pop of color.

More Casual Valentine’s Day Looks Clothing

A graphic tee is an easy and inexpensive way to celebrate Valentine’s Day. This is your basic t-shirt in a cotton blend that you can wear alone or with a cute jacket or cardigan. Like the sweatshirts above, this comes in several of the same patterns. All told, there are over 50 different options to choose from! Plus, it’s just $18 dollars.

For my pet lovers! How cute is this T-shirt? There are other versions at the link, but for those of us who love our four-legged animals, this would be perfect. I could show my appreciation for Lucy every day, not just on Valentine’s Day! Under $20 dollars.

This is one of many options available at the link! There are great colors, some with candy hearts, even one with a truck hauling plaid hearts. It’s a fun and inexpensive way to celebrate the holiday. Just $27 dollars!

Valentine’s Day-centered clothing doesn’t have to have hearts. Words like “Lover” or “Love” work, or even the letters X and O. Wear it on an anniversary and watch your husband smile! These run true to size and are under $25 dollars.

    Hi Tania,
The Valentine’s tees are great fun. and are a great way to celebrate Valentine’s Day without spending a lot of money.
And yes, your legs look long and lean. Your body is perfect for modeling.

I don’t have any Valentine clothing but these tops were very cute and I loved the boots.

  5. LOVE the side slit jeans on you!! They make your legs look long and lean! I know the pointy toe shoes help but those jeans look so good. The lips tshirt is calling my name. Really loving your new hairstyle too.

  6. Laura Garrett says:

Love the look of a blazer over tee and jeans. Very cute and modern. Thanks for the tips.

  7. It’s been snowing non-stop here (outside Knoxville, TN) since 3 am. I think we’ve got more snow in 1 day than all of last winter. It is beautiful but I wonder if my husband’s car will make it up the hill to home! Our Valentines are always casual nowadays! 😊

  8. Ginger Hiller says:

Boy did you share some awesome tops and earrings. I am going to order the paw prints tee and the pack of earrings. I am waiting on the delivery of a Valentines sweatshirt I ordered from Wal-Mart that has graphics for coffee lovers, which I am. I knew that I could wear it longer, just like the paws heart tee. Yes, your legs look miles long and slender in those jeans and pointed toe boots. Like you, I’m not crazy about the slit at the hem of the jeans, but I get why it’s done. I have long legs and love when I can make them look even longer. It’s in the 60’s here and Spring like, which I prefer over being stuck in the house with a bunch of snow. I do love snow, but as a GA native, I’m not used to dealing with it.

    1. I saw several ladies were loving the paws graphic tee. I’m sure my mom loved it too.

  9. Stephanie Weeks says:

Cute look. D you have any looks for 50 year olds for a baby shower?

    1. I don’t think I’ve ever done a dedicated post on that.

  10. Jacque Abell says:

Love the sparkly lips. it makes me smile. I’m over the cold and snow. Can’t take the – degrees.
