Gurls, I loved seeing where everyone was from!!! It is really eye-opening to see how the internet has really made this a small world, after all. I woke up around 5:00 in the morning, and I reached for my phone on the nightstand to see if I had remembered to schedule my blog post. You would be surprised how many times I forget to hit the “schedule” button. Lol! I opened up Facebook to see if the post was there, and I gasped when I saw that there were already 400 comments!

It would appear that most people have found my blog from Pinterest. I love that platform, and I can spend HOURS playing and pinning the great content that I find. It would appear that most of you found me by searching for fashion over 40 or 50, but some of you found me because of my hair. I need to sit down and go through all of the comments and see if all 50 states are represented and how many countries are overseas. It used to freak me out a little when I thought of “strangers” looking at me, but now I think of everyone as friends, and that makes me happy. I am so thrilled that you like the blog and have found value in it. I hope you continue to follow along on my crazy journey, and I’m hoping that 2021 will be an excellent year for everyone.

I saw that a LOT of you commented that you would like to see more casual outfits. Does this outfit qualify as casual? This is my version of casual since it is a sweater and a pair of jeans. Even when I am wearing a casual outfit, I am always thinking to myself, “how do I make a casual outfit look special?” The answer is simple; even when I choose a sweater, I will try to pick one that is stylish and has details. The cable-knit design and the large ribbing at the neckline, hem, and sleeves provide both the style and the details for this gorgeous sweater.

Someone mentioned that it seemed a lot of the styles that I wear on the blog have already sold out. The problem is that the retailers have to have major sales since many brick and mortar stores don’t have traffic. Big sales mean that inventory is sparse. It is great when you get the item on sale, but it is a pain when the stores are already sold out of the clothing.

This sweater is available in several colors, but all of them are getting limited in size. The reason??? This sweater is on sale for $12.50!!! I did see a plus version that I would have sworn was the same sweater, but it was by a different brand. Good luck with getting one in your size. I am wearing a large, and I think the sweater runs TTS. Here are some sweaters that I found that are a great price. I noticed that one of them said sold out, but all sizes seemed to be available. So, don’t take the sold-out message as fact; check it out for yourself if you like the item.

I love these jeans! Dang it, why does this brand have to fit me so well? I would say upfront that I would never have bought this brand of jeans if I hadn’t gotten them on sale. Now, I’ll be watching for them to go on sale every chance that I get because they do fit me well.

This is the Mari high waist straight leg jeans by AG Jeans. These jeans have a 29″ inseam, which I rolled up so that you could see the top of my boots. The color is darker than it looks in my photos because I lightened the photos so that you could see the details of the sweater. I am wearing a size 30, which is the equivalent of a size 10. I think that these jeans run true to size since this is my usual size. I’ll link to some jeans that are on sale since these are not. I ordered the Farrah jeans with the distressed hem, and I hope they fit when they arrive.

The Lex chunky heel bootie is my go-to right now. I need to order something else since I am sure that you are sick and tired of seeing me wearing the same thing repeatedly. But, these booties seem to go with everything, and I love how they make your legs look so long. I am wearing the chestnut suede boot, but these also are available in black leather. I love the stable chunky heel, and I find them easy to walk in. I am wearing my usual size 9 in these boots, and I find that they run TTS. I love the height of these heels; however, I will see if I can’t find some pointy-toe booties with a smaller heel.

I had tried lots of different skincare in my 50+ years, and I NEVER found anything that gave me the WOW factor. Then, I tried R+F and was blown away. I decided to give R+F a chance since I was aware there was a 60-day money-back guarantee. I knew that I wasn’t wasting my money, which gave me the confidence to check it out. After the first regimen was finished, I could “see” a visible change, so I became a consultant to get the product’s best prices. But I didn’t mention it to anyone, but people started “seeing” the change in my face also. After multiple people asked, “what are you doing different? You’re glowing!” I figured out it was the skincare.

I have TWO specials that will run until the end of the year. These specials are for NEW Preferred Customers only. I think that everyone needs to start with a full regimen, so everyone who orders one of our FOUR core regimens (Redefine, Reverse, Soothe, or UnBlemish) will be gifted a FREE Redefine Multi-Function Eye Cream from ME! That is a saving worth $70.00!!! The second special is on Lash Boost. For NEW Preferred Customers only, purchase Lash Boost and get a 39.00 refund from ME!

To place an order as a new preferred customer, go HERE and put your products in your cart. If you are unsure about which regimen you need, then take the Solutions Tool first to see what is recommended. The only thing that I would suggest is, if you have sensitive skin, list that first. I don’t want you getting a product that might irritate your skin. Go to checkout and click the box JOIN PC PERKS. You will get 10% off of the retail price and FREE shipping, plus qualify for my FREE product gift or reimbursement. Then, fill out the billing and shipping information and click SUBMIT ORDER. I’m sorry that I didn’t get to answer all of your comments yesterday. I had to work at the lumber company, and I didn’t get home until after 6:00 pm. By then, it was time for me to start on today’s blog, so I only had time to read them and not comment. I will be working again today, but I’ll go back and leave a few comments if I get some time. Whew! The end of the year is kicking my tail!

I hope that you have enjoyed today’s post and that you will tell all of your friends about my blog.

  2. I ran to Target and found this gorgeous burgundy sweater in M and I LOVE IT!!! Also got three other super cute ones on clearance. Thanks Tania! I just turned 59 and have read your blog for years. I have bought a lot of clothing based on your posts and style as mine is very similar. Here’s to all the fabulous women in their 50’s out there and thank you for encouraging us every day to look our best!

  3. Love your blog and like many I look forward to it in my inbox every morning. However, I could totally live without the religious stuff.

  4. Can you explain what Preferred Customer means? Is it an auto-ship program?

    1. Hi, Bonnie. Becoming my Preferred Customer means a lot of things. You get 10% off retail pricing and free shipping on all orders placed of $80.00 or more. Also, you get certain sales or specials that are only for PCs, and when you place your second order between 30-90 of becoming my customer, you will also get a free gift from RF. You are enrolled in an auto-replenish program where you will get an email every 60 days telling you that you might be getting low on your products and your next scheduled order is due in 5 days. That is when you can decide if you want to place an order for something different, let the order go through as the same product, or if you want to delay the shipment for up to 2 months. You NEVER have to order anything if you do not need or want it. Feel free to email with any other questions that you might have. fiftyisnotold@gmail.com

I’m from Nova Scotia, Canada and found your post through Jo-lynn another blogger. I really enjoy your stories and I usually read them to start my day. Your style is inspiring and easy to follow. A question about the RF regime. I started with the Redifine after reading your posts and I found it rather harsh so switched to Refresh which I think is better for my skin. How long would you say before you would notice some improvement in tone and texture…just curious.

  6. To answer your question, I think sweater and jeans is in my casual definition. I definitely am not wearing blazers right now. I actually tried joggers this year for first time and now have 4 pairs. I personally have gotten into the more casual look. I wear jeans and cardigans to work and that’s me dressing up right now.

  7. Good morning Tania from Guthrie, Oklahoma. I loved today’s outfit. I always look forward each morning to your blog and I love the scripture that you put at the end of your post. You are my absolute favorite blogger. Keep up the great work and have a wonderful 2021.

  8. I’m in Houston, Tx. I found your blog from another blog, Style fo a certain Age. Your style and sizes are the same as mine, so I look forward to reading it daily.

    1. I am glad that you are enjoying the blog, Debbie! A lot of us bloggers talk with each other and collaborate from time to time.

  9. Karen Miller says:

Love cable knit sweaters, and this color is beautiful! A nice sweater and jeans is my go-to when heading out to run errands, etc.

    1. Exactly, Karen! This type of outfit is perfect for running everyday errands!

  10. I think your outfit today is very cute and casual! It’s looks like something I might wear. Happy New Year to you and your family!

    1. I think that most of us could wear this type of outfit, even if only on the weekends. Have a wonderful New Year!

  11. Love today’s outfit. Nice and casual. Sweater is too hot for Texas weather, but it looks great on you! I found your blog on pinterest years ago and have followed it ever since. I love your fashion advice and your Christian way of looking at life. We have the same outlook which I find refreshing. Your daily devotionals are inspiring and I try to incorporate them daily. Of course, it doesn’t hurt that we are roughly the same size (10) and age (wink, wink)…God Bless you and your family and lets all have a blessed New Year!

    1. Karen, we’ve had a fairly mild winter so far this year, but since I am one who is always cold, the sweater adds much-needed heat for me. I am so glad that you are enjoying the blog and I hope you have a wonderful New Year!

  12. I am a 59, soon to be 60, South Dakotan who found your blog by searching 40+ bloggers. I enjoy your family stories – especially those about Joe:) My husband died of cancer in 2017; your Joe is a lot like he was – a fun-loving pill:) you are blessed.

I like your clothing, makeup, and hair segments. I just enjoy being one of the gurls:)

    1. Sharel, I am sorry to hear that you lost your husband. (your Joe) It makes me tear up just thinking about that.

  13. Susan Esper says:

Love your blog! I’m from SE Michigan. Probably found you via Pinterest, but now receive your daily e-mails and I follow you on Instagram. Love waking up to your posts in my Inbox every morning, but if you ever decide to scale back to just a couple days a week, I’m sure we’d all understand. I can’t imagine keeping up with posting EVERY day! Just turned 50, and am frequently looking for style ideas that will keep me looking “young at heart” without looking like I’m trying to copy the 20-year olds. lol Agree, more casual looks would be welcome for at least the next year, with so many of us still working from home. Thanks, Tania! Best to you in 2021!

    1. Oh, Susan, I could never scale back, I love posting too much! I normally don’t have to go into work at the lumber company very often since I can do most of the work from home. But, since it was the end of the year, I needed to do a few things.

  14. Hey Tania. Rocking today’s outfit. Love the sweater and jeans which seem to be out go to choice of outfit these days. Have a lovely Wednesday. Lisa xx

    1. I hope your day is wonderful also, Lisa. I know that jeans and sweaters are my go-to lately.

  15. Thank you for your blog. It’s nice to have someone giving us fashion ideas to women of our age! ☺️ We can still look stylish even as we mature in age. Would you be able to give ideas for maxi dress/skirt fashion? Thank you also for ending your posts with scripture verses and you’re Sunday posts. Thank you again…..I live in NC!

    1. Karen, I don’t think that age is a factor in looking stylish. The problem is when we quit caring. I love maxi dresses and skirts and I wear them often. You can type in MAXI in the search bar and see some examples of previous posts.

  16. And this is EXACTLY why you are my FAVORITE faith/fashion blogger!!!
Great post, casual but cute! Not expensive either! And not to mention but we are almost identical with our sizing, so that helps me tremendously! Just as you think of us as your friends now, we think of you in the same manner! I just turned 58, still actively working in nursing, and casual is my style! I’m thinking hard about trying the R & F regimen, I just hate to spend more money fight after Christmas, but cheaper than cosmetic surgery for sure! I have bought a few OTC products, nothing has made any significant difference.
Have a great work day Tania, and I look forward to your blog each and every day! 😊
May 2021 be a blessed and better year for us all and in all the ways we need! 💕

    1. Kim, thank you so much for your comment! I am thankful that you are enjoying the blog and are finding it to be helpful. I totally understand your hesitation in placing an RF order. The products aren’t cheap, but they do work. They do have a money-back guarantee, so that is at least some relief since you aren’t out money if you find that the products don’t work for you. Let me know if I can help you, and we can talk on the phone if you would like.

Hi Tania. I have a few questions regarding R+F. What is the best way to contact you?

    1. Good morning, Patti. We already contacted each other through FaceBook, but anyone can contact me here or by email fiftyisnotold@gmail.com

        1. Jen, yes, you can be my customer if you live in Canada. However, you do have to order in a different way. You need to go to rodandandfields.com and you will see the American flag on the top right. Click on that and change it to the CA flag. To make sure that I get credit, you will need to search for me as your consultant. My id number is 3127972 and you should see the name Tania Stephens pop up. From there, you follow the same instructions for ordering. Feel free to email me if you have any questions. fiftyisnotold@gmail.com
