Who is ready for Thanksgiving next week? This will be the strangest Thanksgiving that I’ve ever experienced, and I am sure that a lot of you feel the same way. There is still so much to be thankful for, and we don’t need to forget that as we go into this next week. I know that many of our traditional dinners are either canceled or scaled back, but that doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t take time to count our blessings still.
My Aunt called off hosting Thanksgiving at her house this year. This is my mother’s sister, and she normally makes the Thanksgiving dinner, and my mother does the one for Christmas. My mom, sister, daughter, and I have a group Snapchat where we talk and share information with each other. We live in four different states, so this is a great way to communicate with each other. My mom shared the other day that there would be 10 in attendance for Thanksgiving. I knew that she wasn’t having company for Thanksgiving, so I replied that the dogs and cats didn’t count. Her reply… “they do in this house.” Lol! Stay safe, enjoy your food, and count your blessings.
Christmas might be just as strange this year, but at least we can start to see a small light at the end of the tunnel. I will not let COVID-19 stop me from celebrating Christmas, but it might look a little different this year. However, I am starting to get in the Christmas spirit, and I think a lot of people are looking for sparks of JOY. Color has always been one of the ways that I elevate my mood, and wearing this bright red turtleneck sweater is sure to do the trick. This oversized sweater has a relaxed fit and is comfy and cozy without being itchy. I know that many people are allergic to wool, and I want to let you know that this sweater does NOT contain wool. I am wearing a medium in this sweater, and it is still large on me. The sweater comes in three other colors and is on sale for $15.00!!!
The jewelry that I am wearing today is all in gold, AND it is all on sale! In fact, Kendra Scott is having a HUGE sale today through the 30th and is giving you up to 30% off your purchase (exclusions apply), plus 25% off Fine Jewelry & Sterling Silver Collections. The AVI large hoop earrings are a pair that I wear all of the time, and I loved them so much that I have them also in silver. I am showing you an up-close look at the clasp of my Davis multi-strand necklace. As you can see, you can wear the necklace as it comes or choose to add or remove a necklace to create your own personal look. I am not sure what or who is on your Christmas list, but the engravable jewelry makes a fabulous gift.
Here is the fabulous “I’m looking out over the river while you look at my rear” shot. Lol! No matter which way you choose to look at these festive plaid pants, they are GORGEOUS! I love the Stewart Tartan plaid, which is great for Christmas but can be worn at any time of the year. These pants are comfortable enough for a casual Christmas or dressed up for a dressy Christmas. I am wearing my usual size 10, and the pants fit me great.
I wore my red Michael Kors pumps, but you could wear black or a neutral colored shoe also. I wanted to tie in the red sweater, so I chose to wear these heels. When it comes to fashion, shoes are where I struggle the most. I have never been a “shoe” person, and even though I have a lot more shoes now, they tend to all be in the same styles. I need to start branching out more and try new styles.
Here are a few of my favorite pics for the Kendra Scott sale:
