HOW TO LAYER A COAT WITH A SWEATER
It was a beautiful blue-bird kind of day. The sky was so blue, and there were fluffy white clouds that looked like cotton balls floating around. The wind was blowing just enough to make the photos look good, but not mess your hair up too much. In other words, it was a great day to take photos!
My DIL and I traveled to the next town over and spent a couple of hours walking the streets and taking photos. We occasionally had some photo-bombers drive up and park behind us, so we had to keep moving around. I wonder what the people in the cars thought we were doing. Lol! One guy pushing a baby stroller kept going past us, and then he finally told us to go to a different location that was great for taking photos. That was nice and just the perfect example of small-town life.
A turtleneck sweater is a fall essential item. This slightly oversized version is perfect to wear alone or with a coat or cardigan. It is a chunky, heavy knit, so the layering item has got to be large enough to accommodate the sweater. I am wearing a medium, in the color wine red, and I think it is the perfect relaxed size for me. On the website, the sweater looks faded, and in these photos, it looks really vibrant. It is probably somewhere between the two, and I feel like it is more of a dark wine color. The sweater comes in a ton more options, and since it is under $35.00, you can buy more than one without breaking the bank.
Accessories always make an outfit. My Fallyn hoop earrings are sold out on the Kendra Scott website, but I could still find them for you at another store. The long ombre link necklace makes a statement every time that you wear it. It looks heavy, but the links are resin, and the necklace is fairly lightweight. The final accessories are my bracelets. I am wearing the Fallyn entwined link cuff bracelet and the Selena cuff bracelet set. The Selena set is comprised of three cuff bracelets that can be worn separately or stacked all together.
I know that I have lots of accessories today. But I couldn’t forget my Versace sunglasses. I bought them from a luxury consignment website called The Real Real. They weren’t brand new, but you couldn’t tell that since they didn’t have a scratch on them.
Look at the texture of this Vince Camuto handbag! I love how luxurious the lambskin leather feels, and the bag is elegant and classy looking. The gold hardware takes the look of this handbag up several notches, and it really POPS against the black background. Be sure to take advantage of the easy payment plan, which makes the handbag more affordable.
Love, love, love this boiled wool-blend peacoat. This peacoat hits right at my hip, and I love the boxy style. This is a gorgeous natural color, and I will wear this coat all winter long. You can wear this style of a coat with jeans and a dress since it can be dressed up or down. I am wearing a size 12, and it fits great. It is roomy enough to accommodate the chunky sweater, but it doesn’t feel too big even without the sweater.
This leopard print tube midi skirt is so pretty. I love how it hugs your body, and I think that it is very flattering. I bought this leopard print skirt from Nordstrom, but this exact one is sold out. HOWEVER, I did find a few that are VERY similar, and some are even by the same brand. I am wearing a medium in this skirt. BTW, this leopard print reminds me of a vintage leopard print coat that I wore a LONG time ago on the blog, you can see it here.
These boots are last year’s version. They are a little higher than most of them that I see online now. These were called an over-the-knee boot; however, they didn’t seem that high to me. I love this neutral color, and these will go with almost anything. Here are some that are very similar.
I had the best time this weekend. I actually took off three days and watched the R+F virtual convention with my Energizer Bunny Friend. There were some exciting announcements, which included a new way that you can become a consultant for only $75.00!!! You might need to read that again to truly understand what I just said. YOU can JOIN ME IN BUSINESS for only $75.00! How many other BILLION DOLLAR businesses do you know that will even let you join them, much less for only $75.00? If you are interested in getting the #1 skincare in North American for the best possible price, or in making a few extra hundred dollars a month, then email me because I have an extra little something-something for anyone who joins me this month. You look fantastic in this outfit!!! I love it!
This is gorgeous. I worry that I am too hippy for so much print on my bottom half. What is your theory on this?
you mentioned leopard tube skirt Nordstroms …but this exact one is sold out. HOWEVER, I did find a few that are VERY similar, and some are even by the same brand…..normally you tell us what that might be?? do I just google leopard tube skirt? thanks 🙂
Janet, the similar ones are in the photo’s directly under my writing. They show the skirt, tell the manufacturer, and have a heart where you can get a sales alert. Just click on any of those similar ones in the photos, and it will take you straight to the website.
Love this outfit!! Wish the bag was still available in the deep chocolate color ☹️
Is there a link for the leopard skirt?
I didn’t link to the exact skirt since it was sold out in all sizes.

Tania, you rock this look. A bit sexy and darn fashionable.
Is this handbag very heavy?. Some really nice bags are.
I know what you mean, Pat. I have some handbags that weigh a ton even though they are empty. This one is not like that.
Great outfit today! Love every piece and accessory!!! Great setting too, looks like a really nice town!!
It was such a pretty day, and the streets were not too busy for taking the photos.
What an absolutely beautiful outfit. This combination says class every step of the way!
