HOW TO GET MORE WEARS FROM YOUR CLOTHING
Who is guilty of wearing the same thing, in the same way, over and over again? Believe it or not, I used to be guilty of doing that all the time. I knew what looked good with a pair of pants, and I found myself always reaching for the same top time after time. The outfit was great and it looked fine, but it became boring. Today, I am going to show you how to get more wears from your clothing.
This post is sponsored by Walmart, and I will receive compensation, but the opinions expressed are my own.
Not only do I like to get the most wears from the clothing in my closet, but I also want to get the biggest bang for my buck. I appreciate that Walmart has the latest styles that are affordable, and they deliver right to my doorstep.
I love the fact that Walmart has free shipping on purchases over $35.00, and I take advantage of that for my grocery items as well as my fashions.
The kids and grandkids have already made out their Christmas wish list, and I am slowly ordering those items in as I see them go on sale. I am thrilled that I don’t have to fight the crowds since I can order everything online.
So, sit back, grab another cup of coffee, and get ready to see how I take a pair of black pants and a black v-neck top and create several affordable and stylish looks.
I am starting off with this gorgeous leopard print poncho from Time and Tru. Oh My Word, this is so pretty and will make a huge impression on anyone that sees it. The large cowl neck and the slight fringing on the edges of the poncho add to the visual interest. Even though this is a poncho, I just want to let you know that the sides are not closed. You will need to wear a shirt under the poncho or stitch up the sides. I am wearing the L/XL size, but it seems like a one size item to me.
The Scoop black seamed flared pants are a pair that I wore in my last Walmart try-on session, so I thought that I would show you their versatility again today. I am wearing my normal size 10, and they fit me great.
I want you to stop what you are doing and add this stunning Vegan leather tote handbag to your cart. This bag is seriously sharp-looking, and I love the luxurious quilted pattern and gold trim. The size of this handbag is perfect, not too big and not too small. I am carrying it in several of the photos so that you can get an idea of how it looks in comparison to your body. AND, this is under $25.00, so grab the red color too while you are at it.
Red Quilted Vegan Leather Tote
This leopard print cardigan is soft, soft, soft! You know that I can’t get enough of the season’s hottest animal print, and this knit cardigan is stylish without breaking the bank. This is a great example of dressing in the latest trends and looking great for under $21.00. I am wearing a size medium in the sweater, and it fits me great.
For those of you who are not fans of wearing prints or patterns, then this boucle cardigan will be perfect for you. The texture of the sweater cardigan is soft and cozy, and I love that the cardigan has pockets. Why do all of us women love pockets so much?!? The cardigan has a relaxed feel, but you can always go up a size if you want the big oversized look. I am wearing a medium in the sweater, and I think that it fits me great. Plus, the oatmeal color is a great neutral that will go with almost anything.
Did you see me wear the lilac version of this sweater in yesterday’s post? I love how this sweater looks so elegant and casual at the same time. You can dress the sweater up for a date night, or pair it with a pair of leggings for a cozy stay at home look. I am wearing a medium in the sweater, but I think that I will send it back for a large instead. I love the way that it fits, but I prefer not to feel like I need to “suck in” my belly region all of the time. Lol! Since I am placing another order, I think that the magenta and the wine version might also find their way into my cart. Heck, the sweater is under $17.00, so why not???
The sudden drop in temperature this weekend has me thankful that I ordered this longer heavyweight Anorak coat. This padded coat can still look feminine because of the bungee cord at the waist. I am also seriously crushing on the faux-fur trimmed hood which is removable. The water-resistant shell and the 100% polyester fill will keep you warm this winter. Check out this warm and stylish coat which comes in two other colors. I am wearing a large in the coat since I wanted to make sure that I could wear sweaters and not feel confined.
So, which is your favorite look? This leopard print poncho with the large cowl neck and fringed trim?
Or, maybe you love the dressier look of this leopard print cardigan with the black vegan leather tote?
Are you someone who prefers wearing neutrals and a classic color palette?
Or, do you need a dressier, more elegant and stylish look?
No matter what style you choose, this heavyweight coat will keep you nice and toasty warm this winter.
Make Walmart your one-stop shop for all things fashion, as well as for gifts for the entire family. I hope that you enjoyed today’s try-on session from Walmart. Walmart makes it very convenient for its customers to shop, especially since most people have a store within 10 miles of their homes.
I loved this post, Tania! Each outfit was a winner and shows how you can really mix it up with just some accessories, layering pieces and a few basics. I’m considering getting the membership with Walmart and glad to hear you are enjoying using them for various items!
I lean towards leopard print tops. There are so many types. I admit I am guilty of wearing the same pants and tops over & over. Lol. So it is refreshing and helpful to see so many ways of changing things up & it’s so easy to do also. Hopefully I’ll get things together and start do it more. Your posts are very helpful. Thank you!!
I’m so guilty of this but I’m trying to change. You are inspiring me! Love the leopard poncho and really like the pants. You don’t find these items in Walmart Canada unfortunately.
I love it all! I have seen a lot of bloggers showing such cute things from Walmart! That poncho is gorgeous!
I love the poncho! It is so sharp looking. 😍
Love the flair pants, but they are no longer available 🙁
I knew they were limited in sizing. I first wore them last month, and things don’t last very long when they are that nice.
I would wear any of these outfits but my favorite it the cream sweater! Thanks for showing us all the possibilities!
The cream sweater is so versatile, and it can be worn with a lot of different pants
I love the fact your things are from Walmart–never thought to shop there!
Walmart has really upped their clothing game. You can find chic, stylish, and affordable clothing online now
You look fabulous in each of those outfits. Thanks for all your hard work in putting together your outfit changes. I look forward to see what you’ll be styling each day. You’ve been a bright light during this pandemic. Bless you.
Donna, I am so glad that you enjoyed today’s post. You are so sweet for feeling this way. 😘
These are all great looks. I like that they are outfits that can be worn for any event! And these would flatter most body types! You did it again!
Thanks, Lori! I thought all of these outfits would work for almost anyone. 😊
I love your multiple outfit posts! This is a great one since Walmart has fashions that everyone can afford and you can’t beat the free shipping. The animal prints look so cute on you but I can’t seem to step out of my box on that one yet. I was in a rut with wearing the same bottoms with the same top over and over again until I discovered your blog. You have inspired me in so many ways to expand my wardrobe.
I am glad that you liked the post. The multiple outfit posts are a lot more work since you have to coordinate and take so many photos, but I love doing them for everyone. So, I am trying to do them at least once a month.
Such classy looks! Love them all!
I thought they all looked really classy too.
Tania! I loved this post. I wear black pants a lot and just ordered 4 of the leopard and sweaters. Yea!!!! I’m 59 and have lost over 30 lbs. haha I can wear Chico’s pants now! I quite literally stand in my closet and ask, “how would Tania style this?” Also I think much more about color mixing. You are a treasure!
Congratulations, Nancy!!! Losing weight is not easy, and that is quite an accomplishment!
