50 IS NOT OLD | SPONTANEOUSOkay, Deb, this post is for you. It is all about spontaneity, the quirks and the pluses. Some of you are planners, you like a rigid schedule, and that is what works best for you. My energizer bunny friend has almost every minute of her day planned, and she makes the most of every minute. I envy her, I would LOVE to know what I am doing next Thursday at 5:30. I might think I know, but I never really am for sure.50 IS NOT OLD | SPONTANEOUSLet’s start with today. Get up, and do my devotional. I can check that off, that went well. Go for a brisk walk with Joe, up and down some hills for 1 mile. Check! Talk to my sister on the phone while I get dressed in the morning. Check! Take pictures, and then head out to work. Check, check, check!!!50 IS NOT OLD | SPONTANEOUS

And then it all goes downhill from there. No more following a schedule, no more plans, only reacting to what the day has in store. I had planned on vouchering bills, and doing some filing. I was only interrupted at least 18 times, and there was only 3 major crises to handle. However, after a few setbacks, all is well. I am one of those people who does not get upset easily, so unless the place is on fire, I am good.?50 IS NOT OLD | SPONTANEOUS

After work, Sandy and I went to exercise class where my energizer bunny friend tried to kill me. Lol! Joe had our 1987 RV running when I got home and wanted to know if I wanted to go for a joy ride. Haha! First off, this monstrosity is a 1987 model, so we are talking old as the hills. It was a really nice one in it’s day, but it’s day is almost 30 years ago. Lol! So, here we go, riding around town in this huge bus!!! When we get home, my grandbaby, Emersyn, is out playing in her sandbox. We stop the bus, and I open the door and yell for her. She comes flying, hollering for Nee Nee, Nee Nee!!! She jumps in, and we drive the 500 feet to the house. She thought she was really doing something. Then Joe showed her how to blow the air horn, and she had a blast.50 IS NOT OLD | SPONTANEOUS

A huge storm was brewing, so I took her back home. Joe and I decided to sit out on the porch and watch the storm till the rain started blowing in on us. Finally, it was time for dinner, and then the blog. Could you have planned any of that? Would I trade one minute of it for a schedule routine? I think you know what the answer is. I could have said no to the RV ride, by saying I need to start dinner and the blog. But, just look at the fun I would have missed out on. There may be a day when you come to the blog, and it says, “Sorry, I was out having fun!” I hope when that happens that you say, “You go GURL!!!”50 IS NOT OLD | SPONTANEOUSThis top is not a normal choice for me. The pattern and the colors are both something that I wouldn’t normally choose. BUT, I went ahead and decided to live on the wild side and made the $12.00 purchase (QVC overstock outlet store). This top is by LOGO by Lord Goldstein.

LOGO top: Similar | Cute | Plus50 IS NOT OLD | SPONTANEOUSYou can actually see my matching earrings and bracelet today. Thanks for encouraging me to take close-up pictures of my jewelry. I will link to the Plunder jewelry, but if you place an order, you will need to put my stylist number, 241007, in the box for them to know I sent you. The earrings are called Aggie, and the bracelet is called the Edith. My necklace has been doubled to make it a chocker. Ain’t I so clever!!! The necklace is called the Arianna, and it says, Arise and Shine.50 IS NOT OLD | SPONTANEOUSI am trying to show you a close-up of my Anita necklace. All the little dangles are hard to capture in a picture. The locket opens up, for those who like essential oils to put a piece of cloth inside. The two bangle bracelets are Frances and the Halsey.50 IS NOT OLD | SPONTANEOUSI wish I had looked at my pictures before I left for work. I would NOT have worn these shoes. The shoes are super cute, but I think they cut my legs off and make them look stubby. Looking down at the shoes, you could not see the effect. Oh, well! The shoes are by C. Wonder, and they are suede.50 IS NOT OLD | SPONTANEOUSThese ivory leggings are from Wal-Mart. This is a trend, so don’t feel the need to spend a lot of money on leggings. After the trend is over, you can exercise or sleep in them. At least you will get your monies worth that way.

Did anyone notice my keys hanging on my purse with a carabiner? Haha I saw it when I took the 2nd set of pictures. Lol!

Anytime you would like to share my posts on Facebook or Twitter, I would appreciate that. It helps get my blog out to more people, and I am sure you just want to spread the entertaining sayings I have. Lol!

  1. Looking Fresh and vibrant, love yr blog ???

  2. Tania, I am ‘upper 60’s’ and would love to be more flexible and spontaneous. I have been an overly organized person all my life, but am trying hard now to have “Life” be more than checking things off a “To Do” List. Very difficult, as this has been may pattern all my life to “get a lot done”……I am not “in the last Inning” but I am in the Last Quarter, so I am working very hard on increasing spontaneous responses/reactions…..I say “Go for it” and don’t spend your life worrying about ‘getting a lot done’……I am not going to live with regrets, but do remember wistfully many opportunities to have fun that I turned down, as it did not fit into my schedule (!) Don’t do that, go for the gusto!

    Hi
Well let’s just say I am a planner (first grade teacher). Which sometimes is not a good thing when dealing with my family. Lol
How funny your jewelry items have names that I am familiar with. Aggie is my college mascot. Ariana (spelled different) is my 22 yr. old daughter’s name.
She just saved the day helping me with my tablet.
I have white leggings but have not found a top I feel comfortable with.
    Have great weekend!!!

  5. The shades of your top are beautiful colors for you! Can I ask what lipstick you are wearing – it’s very flattering.

  6. I used to be upset if anything interfered with my yo do list and schedule, but then I decided to just go with the flow. I make a list of about five things I hope to accomplish each day, but if something more fun comes along, I do that instead. I call it free stylin.

Tania, how do I make sure you get credit for any Plunder purchases? I clicked on a link from your jewelry in this post and it took me to the Plunder website, but I didn’t see your name anywhere on there. Thanks! I enjoy reading your blog!

    Mary

    1. Mary, when you get ready to checkout it will ask for the stylist name or number. My number 241007. Thanks for asking!

So, I thought OK, I am going anyways (she said she would buy the pizza!) So, we get there, order the Pizza & what does it start to do?? THUNDER!! Well, at the Pool we go to……..EVERYBODY OUT OF THE POOL UNTIL IT DOESN’T THUNDER ANYMORE OR 30 MINUTES…..So, it was ichy HUMID, THE PIZZA GIRL CAME & WE sat there eating our Pizza & Laughing!! 9. I love every piece, here! This is my summer uniform, girly and comfy!! Since my hubby and I started our own law firm, we are less structured and rigid in our personal lives! I love it!

  10. One year I had to assume a semi-administrative position at school, and I KNEW I needed to be more organized – so I purchased a planner that I carried everywhere (very similar to the one the principal and assistant principal carried). At the end of the semester, I laughed ’til tears ran down my cheeks as so many ‘things to do’, lists, etc. were indeed listed on the pages of my planner, but then one after another ended up being CROSSED OUT – CHANGED or RESCHEDULED. etc. so that 6 out of 10 pages were almost illegible for all the cross-outs ! Next semester I switched planning strategy and found I did much better with a very sketchy monthly desk-type calendar – you know, the one that literally covers most of your desktop – listing literally only scheduled meetings, test dates and no-nonsense deadlines! I was happier, my family was happier, and most importantly, my students were happier. I’ve never quite flown by the seat of my pants so to speak, but I quickly found that an itemized planner was not in my future.
