Are you someone who packs ahead and has everything done a week before your trip? I am on the other end of the spectrum. I am one of those who will pack the night before we leave or even the day of the trip. Lol! I go through and pick out so many things because I can’t decide what I am for sure going to wear. Then, because I don’t try it on first, I take more than I will ever wear just because I don’t know if it will fit or look right. Are any of you shaking your head right now? I also end up with the wrong shoes and the wrong jewelry because I didn’t put it all together beforehand and I get ill when I think about what I have at home that would look perfect with the outfit. I made a deal with my Energizer Bunny Friend that I would try on at least 2 outfits a day, complete with shoes and jewelry, and lay them aside to pack in my suitcase. That was Sunday and so far I hadn’t done a single outfit but the great thing was, neither had she. Lol! I figure that I will need at least 2 outfits per day. One outfit to go to trainings and meetings and then another outfit for dinners that we have scheduled for every night that we are there. Today, I started the process. I am so proud of myself for this tiny little accomplishment that I have done. I actually got together about 5 or 6 outfits with all of the accessories. Here is the only problem that I can foresee happening; I will probably change my mind about several of the outfits that I have picked out. Hahaha! The good thing is that we are flying first class and we get 2 suitcases for free and they can weigh up to 70 lbs. each!!! I can just see me now trying to navigate in the airport with 2 huge suitcases, talk about comical! This wrap top that was in my recent Trunk Club shipment (join here) combines casual style and a chic look at the same time. I love the pleats and folds of the top that makes it look effortless and gives a great draping effect. The deep plunge v-neck might be a little lower than I would normally wear so I can remedy that by moving the snap later just a little higher on the lapel. The tie closure adds to the casual look and gives it some visual interest. This is hand wash an line dry and I am wearing a size medium. Go here to see the top. I thought the turquoise accessories look good with the lilac color. I chose the Serena necklace and the Makia earrings for that pop of turquoise color. The Serena necklace even has a brightly colored stone and a cream marble stone pendant. The bracelet is multi-strands on different colors and added a little fun to the look. Today is the LAST day to purchase any of the retiring jewelry. If you want a list of the items that are retiring then let me know. This month is my 3 year Blog anniversary! I can’t believe that it has been that long! I am celebrating by offering a free piece of jewelry with every 50.00 purchase (excluding taxes and shipping) made this entire month! Go here and have fun shopping! Make sure that you pick a party with my name in it so that I can track the purchases. I bought these NYDJ pull-on release hem jeans a couple of months ago and they were in my Trunk Club shipment also. Lol! Listen, when you live in the boonies and have no shopping opportunities this is a life saver. I really like the free shipping and returns. I can try on my items in my home and with my clothing that I already own. I have become a huge fan of NYDJ jeans. I had never bought this brand before until they started coming in my TC shipments and now I am hooked. They fit so nicely and I love the shape enhancing features.
The discounts for my Blog Anniversary extends to my Rodan + Fields products also. I gave out the details in yesterday’s post about the Buy More and Get More From Me sales that are going on. But, I have an extra special for NEW Preferred Customers. I want everyone to at least “try” Rodan + Fields but some people balk at paying the one-time enrollment fee of 19.95. This month, because of my anniversary, I will reimburse the 19.95 back to all NEW PC’s. This is not something that I normally do so be sure to take advantage of this while you can. Go HERE to my website, shop for the products you want, go to checkout, click on the enroll as a Preferred Customer, and then hit continue. As Emersyn says, “Easy Peasy” but if you do run into problems just let me know. Remember, you have a 60-day money back guarantee so what have you got to lose? Oh, yeah……….age spots, lines, wrinkles, acne, etc. Lol!!!
Several of you have mentioned that you didn’t get the weekly newsletter or that you didn’t get the confirmation email for it. I can sign you up but you need to let me know. I hope to get better with every version. I would love for you to subscribe to this, all you have to do is click HERE!
Wow, you were talking about me when it comes to waiting to the last minute to get an outfit together! I used to be better, but now that I have a much more busy life I am finding it more difficult to spend time trying on outfits prior to the day I need them. I do have a huge amount of wardrobe pieces that will mix and match that make the task more daunting at times. I guess we all just have to bite the bullet and find the time. Sigh….
I am always impressed by the way you can pull outfits together. However, some of more mature ladies need a little help with picking out the correct under garments. Would you do a blog on that one day soon?
Have a great trip to New Orleans. Let the good times roll.
I need to take time to look into Trunk Club and…I have never tried on a pair of NYDJ so something I need to do. I am one that packs a week ahead; I should say I lay my clothes out a week ahead. It’s too stressful for me to wait til the day before. My hubby packs the night before or if we are only going for one night, he packs the morning of. I need time to think about what I want to wear. I was wondering if you could see if I am on the newsletter list please. I signed up but did not get a confirmation. Thank you.
Hi, Tania. Can you please make sure I’m on your weekly newsletter email list too? Thanks so much. I never did receive a confirmation. I see your link above to your first newsletter–thanks!
