Houndstooth
Hi everyone. I hope you are ready for the weekend, I sure am. I have a street festival to attend, I am in hog heaven. I love crafters, yard sales, funnel cakes, and the best home-made doughnuts ever made. Next week all my posts may be in sweatpants, just saying.
Do you like houndstooth? It is one of my favorite patterns. I even have a bracelet that looks JUST like these pants, but I thought that the two of them together might hurt your eyes. The red is bright enough, you might need to go get your sunglasses. Go ahead, I’ll wait right here. These pixie pants are from Old Navy, last years purchase. Here is a similar pair. I wear them quite often with all different colors. They look really good with cobalt too.
I couldn’t decide on the shoes. I know fall is fast approaching, so I thought I needed booties. These are a new purchase, Marc Fisher is the brand. I love these, but eventually decided to go with the Fergalicious flats. Since I was going to work, at a lumber company, I knew the flats would be more foot friendly.
The bracelets are just some I have picked up along the way. Fashion shows, yard sales, etc. The necklace however, is a Sabika Country Star necklace. This was in the Winter 2014 book and is not available now. I’m sure it is on Ebay, everything is on Ebay, you just have to search.
I decided to change things up a little, and see if I wanted to wear some of my vintage jewelry instead. I have on two long strings of black glass beads and long dangle jet earrings. I wear these earrings all the time, they fall to just the right spot on my shoulder. They are perfect for day or night wear.
The bracelet is a 70’s find. I think I have it on upside down, but who cares, I can’t read the words anyway. I can make out love and couture, that’s it. This little purse is so cute. I didn’t carry it today, but I could have. That’s the point. If I had gone out to eat, instead of going to work, I would have totally carried this. The details are so intricate.
My little scene stealer has to come and get his loving.
Isn’t he a cutie!!! He is 9 years old and still going strong. He keeps his attitude young!
Unfortunately, he thinks kisses on the mouth are okay. Me, not so much.
