GOING SHOPPING STYLE FOR A CASUAL SATURDAY

Another week is in the books! Is it just me, or does time seem to go faster the older we get? My daughter and I are in Tennessee visiting family, and we are off today on another shopping adventure. My mom is not a big shopper, so she refused to go with us. Lol! She’s been on too many shopping trips with me and knows that I can shop for HOURS!

I knew that I was going to be shopping today, so I packed this outfit to stay comfy on our excursion. If you follow me on Instagram, you might have seen my adventure to the Amazon return store. That was a lot of fun and we got several amazing items that made the trip a huge success. We are heading there again this morning to see what treasures we will find. The store opens at 8, and since they got a new shipment in last night, people start lining up around 5 to get in. I’m not that anxious, so I think we will wait to go until it thins out some. Activewear is my choice for digging through bins of packages. There will probably be 50-100 bins there, and I have no idea how many people, but I’m betting that it will be chaos. This will be my first trip there on opening day, so I’m going to be in observing mode. I’ll look through the bins to see if I find things I need, I’m betting there will be people who are buying things to resell. Those are going to be the hard-core shoppers who I want to stay away from.

I’m wearing a white v-neck performance t-shirt from Athletic Works that is part of a 2-pack. The one that I bought is a black/white combo, but there are other combos to choose from. This v-neck t-shirt is one that I can wear to the gym or with any casual outfit. You can never have too many white tees! I’m wearing a large because I don’t like my t-shirts to be tight when I’m working out. I really like the tee and I can’t see my bra through it. Make sure that you always wear nude undergarments when wearing a white top or pants. My favorite bra is the bra-llelujah from Spanx because it fits great, has wide straps, and does a great job of controlling my back fat.

The pants I’m wearing are the Super Soft Lightweight Jogger Pants in large. I wasn’t sure if I should get a large or a medium but ended up going with the large because I hate having workout clothing pull when you move. They are a little baggy, but that’s perfect for what I’m going to be wearing them for. The pants are lightweight, have a drawstring waist, and also have POCKETS! Pockets get me so excited, it is a little ridiculous. Lol!

Of course, my sneakers had to match my outfit. Lol! These black/white Avia Women’s Tech Runner sneakers are comfy and great for shopping while I’ll be on my feet for hours. The sneakers run true to size, and are under $25!

I don’t have on any earrings, but I hardly ever take off my 18 Kt. Gold Vermeil Cross Necklace. This necklace is one that I wear in the shower and to sleep in, and I’ve never had any issue with the vermeil.

This Gray Camo Reebok quarter-zip windbreaker with pockets will add just a tiny bit of warmth, and that’s all I should need since the weather is supposed to be mild in Tennessee this weekend. I love a quarter-zip because it is easier to put on and a little of your shirt underneath shows. When you are out walking, especially in spring, you need a windbreaker to keep the wind from going right through you. Plus, it has kangaroo pockets, so you can keep your keys and phone handy and not lose them on your walk. I’m wearing a large, and it fits me great.

I’m off to go shopping, so wish me luck. Also, wish Joe luck since he is back in Virginia taking care of Lucy and my daughter’s cat, Tom. I sure do dread hearing all about how he got along with feeding them and taking Lucy out to potty. Lol!
