Yesterday was a crazy day for Instagram and Facebook. Those platforms went down for over six hours, and that never happens to large platforms. I found it a nice break, but Joe was aggravated since he likes to scroll FaceBook when he is bored. Some people said they weren’t even aware that it was down, and others were ready to have a melt-down. Lol! Me, I just worked on the blog, took photos, shopped a Flash Sale, and enjoyed a nice big homemade salad for lunch.

I am so glad that you seemed to enjoy yesterday’s post! Those posts take a lot of time since you have to take the same amount of photos as you would for five regular posts. Plus, you have a whole lot more clothing to talk about and more links to grab.

Speaking of the Flash Sale that I shopped, this was a pop-up sale only for that one day. When that happens, I have no way of putting it on the blog since my blog went out before the sale was announced. I shopped the sale and saved a ton of money, so I wanted to give all of you the same opportunity.

I created a widget that showed all of the items I bought, added it to my Steals and Deals page, and sent out a special email to all of my email subscribers. If you are not a subscriber, then you need to subscribe today! Read this entire post, and in the last paragraph, you will find a subscription form to fill out to become a subscriber.

This outfit reminds me of something that you would see on the show Yellowstone. It isn’t as western as that show, but something about the look reminds me of it. You might recognize this blazer from yesterday’s post. In that post, I wore the blazer for an office or work outfit. But today, I am wearing the blazer with jeans and ankle boots for a casual western look.

I am not sure if I mentioned yesterday that this blazer is down to just a few sizes. I am wearing a size 10 in the blazer, and that is the correct size for me. I’ll link to some similar blazers in case your size is not available in this one. You will still be able to create the same look with any of these.

I love this deep olive camp shirt. I know that many of you aren’t fond of pockets on the chest area, but that doesn’t bother me since I am not large chested. The softness and the drape of the material are fantastic, and the shirt looks very expensive. I am wearing a medium, but most of the sizes have sold out in this color. The top is available in the fall hot color, rouge, and I’ll throw up a photo of that for you to see.

Available in Rouge

This pair of slim bootcut jeans have become one of my go-to’s this fall. I love the cut and the deep wash of the jeans, but the fit is probably what makes me keep reaching for them. This brand knows how to fit a woman’s body and that we are made different from the 20 and 30 years olds. The only drawback for some of you will be the length; these are pretty long. I’ll link to similar jeans for those who can’t wear jeans that long. BTW, I am wearing my usual size 10 in the ones above.

This fringed handbag is perfect for the western trend that is hot right now. I wanted to love this handbag, but I didn’t like the material. It is faux leather, and it wasn’t soft and subtle like leather. So, I ended up sending it back, but now I am re-thinking that decision. It is on sale now for $30.00 cheaper than what I bought it for originally, so that is appealing. What do you think??? I am still leaning toward no.

These chain ankle boots aren’t going anywhere, though, because I love the look and fit. I am a big fan of the pointy toe, the large chain, and the chunky heel. The chunky heel is sturdy and easier to walk in than slender heels. This year, most of the jeans seem to be extremely long, so a heel like this is necessary for them. These run true to size, and I am wearing my usual size 9.

The jewelry I wore in this post was my large AVI gold hoops and the multi-strand mixed metal Ryder necklace. This is a heavy necklace that makes a huge statement. I usually can’t wear a heavy necklace, but this one doesn’t seem to bother me.

  1. This is one of my all-time favorite outfits on you. You look SO good in it!
I was surprised when you took off the blazer and the shirt was short sleeved! I’m from Montana but am not a fan of the fringe on that purse.

  2. Personally I say no to the fringed purse, but a big yes to the boot! Love the outfit.

  3. Love the outfit, but a definite NO on the purse!

  4. Love the outfit; the purse is a no for me. I KNOW you will find something better to replace it. 😊

  5. I think I like it better without the jacket. It looks great that way and no necklace. Like Blanche in Streetcar, Don’t settle for things. Bag looks great but get one you like that’s soft,

  6. Love the top and jeans! Too bad the top is sold out in olive green and jeans not in my size.

  7. I would say no to this purse because it is too tall and narrow and not flexible.

I do love that it is faux leather thousand snd the fringe is cute.

Great scripture verse! And that rock wall is gorgeous! You look fabulous in this very flattering outfit. Since blazers don’t suit me, I could recreate this look with a different topper. The booties are great. I think that you can replace the handbag with one that you could use with various types of outfits. We knew that FB was down most of yesterday, but we did other things to occupy our day. Have a wonderful day!

  9. So cute! Those booties!! A solid no on the purse for me.

What a great outfit. Love that jacket with the camp shirt — the color mix is gorgeous.

I am not able to find a link to that jacket … can you tell me where you purchased it?

    Thank you, Tania!

    1. Click on the photo of the tall model wearing the skirt below my description of the jacket. That will take you to the jacket.

  11. Love that the western look is trending again. Thank you so much for showing us how to make it happen. Effortlessly!! The long fringe on the bag makes too big a statement for my taste. Though I appreciate the gurls who can pull it off.

  12. Love this look! Not a country western person but this is really sharp….clean look….and love the colors!
