FOUR OUTFITS THAT ARE GREAT FOR SUMMER

I hope everyone survived the weekend. It was a pretty weekend here, but very windy and slightly cool. Today, I am continuing my try-on session, and there are many pretty items for you to see today. I’ll give you my stats so that you know what I normally wear and let you know if the items run true to size. So, let’s get started with all of the items.

I am 5’6″ tall, and I usually weigh between 155-165 at any given time. The sizes that I normally wear are a size 10 in tops and pants or a medium to a large. In dresses, I wear a size 12 or a large normally. My shoe size is a 9 for the most part, and I have a medium width.

I will try to let you know the size of the items I am wearing and how they fit. Some might look alright in the photos but be too big or too small for my comfort level. If that is the case, then I’ll let you know.

All the tops are shown with the same pair of pants, the same jewelry, and the same shoes. When I am doing a try-on session, I am not “styling” the items that I might for a post. I try to have them match something as much as possible, but a different shoe might look better than the one I am wearing.

I am just trying to help you envision how you would look in the items. Almost everything that I have in this session works well with the white pants, which is a big plus. Of course, you could also wear a different pair of jeans or pants, so use your imagination.

You will probably notice my little shadow in most of the photos. Lucy Lu goes everywhere that I go, and she is usually sleeping under my feet. She is also my little protector and lets me know if anyone is around, and that includes Joe which gets on his last nerve. Lol!

This linen-blend maxi t-shirt dress is lightweight and perfect for the warmer weather of summer.

I tied up one of the ends in the front to give the dress some visual interest. It has slits on both sides of the dress.

I am wearing a size medium in this dress, and as you can see, I still have plenty of room. This is one of those dresses that you could dress up or wear casually. I love the Mountain Dusk color, but the dress also comes in black.

Navy and white is a great classic color combination. I love this slim-fit rib-knit tee, and it is a great summer staple. It looks great with these white jeans, and it would look great with regular wash jeans also. I love adding a pop of red when I wear navy and white, but bright green, yellow, and pink look awesome with this color combination.

When the description said slim-fit, I sized up to a large in this top. This is one of those tops that is very stretchy and forgiving. I should have ordered the medium; instead, this felt a little large on me.

Here are a couple of other striped tops, but with different necklines and sleeve lengths.

This is the cutest floral print blouse. The ruffled neckline is very feminine but very deep also. I have the neckline pinned because it was so deep, and I would suggest either doing that or adding a camisole underneath.

I ordered this top in a medium, and I would have been more comfortable with a large. I felt like the top was too tight, and it made me self-conscious. This blouse also comes in a gorgeous turquoise green color with a tiny print of navy and white.

This is another linen-blend maxi dress, but in a navy color with a white stripe. It also has two slits on each side, but I didn’t tie one side up this time.

Yep, there is the slit. Lol! I love these linen-blend maxi dresses because of their lightweight material. But, also because I love a one-and-done outfit in the summer.

Sometimes it gets all hot and sweaty having a waistband around you from pants or shorts, but not with a dress. Since it is a maxi style, you don’t have to worry about shaving the legs or showing your panties. Lol! Am I the only one who thinks like this??? Once again, I am wearing a medium, and it fits me great.

I had three more items to show you, but they were completely sold out, so I deleted the photos. There is no use showing you items that you can’t purchase.

I showed you these boyfriend white jeans on Saturday, but I’ll give you the details again. These white boyfriend jeans are new, and I actually like the way that they fit. I have bought boyfriend jeans before, and they were so baggy that they looked sloppy on me. That was several years ago, and I’ve been buying girlfriend jeans instead. Evidently, the retailers have revamped the boyfriend silhouette because these are my regular size 10, and they fit great!

I love these Sperry Crest Vibe sneakers. I’ve had these sneakers for over a year, and I still love them as much as when I bought them. The no-tie laces get a big thumbs up from me, and I love being able to slip these on instead of having to lace them up. I sized down to an 8.5 instead of my usual 9, and they fit great now.
