FLORAL SLEEVES FOR SPRING
My mother told me the other day that you would never know I had a brother by reading my blog. He is the baby of the family and also the “pet.” He is the smart one, he is the witty one, and he is the one that visits them every day. I have no idea why I haven’t mentioned him before. Lol! So, today we are going to talk about my brother, Ellery. I bet some of you are saying to yourself that that is a strange name. My cousins from Michigan actually started calling him that while he was still in Mom’s belly. It was a character on Gomer Pyle and they thought it was a typical “hillbilly” name.
Ellery is twelve years younger than me so I thought I was his mother. I carried him everywhere and doted on him until he got old enough to torment me. He hasn’t stopped yet. Haha! He has come to live with Joe and me twice since we have been married. One time Joe and Ellery were flying back to Grundy. I am sure most of you think of an airport as having long strips of pavement and a nice hanger. That is not Grundy. Now envision an aircraft carrier, that is Grundy. We live in the mountains and the airport is on the top of one of them. That means there is a steep dropoff on both ends of the runway. You have to be a pretty good pilot to fly in and out of and no big planes could ever land there, the runway is just too short. This day was horrible flying weather. When they took off from the Livingston Airport, Ellery had not shut his door very good and it popped open. He had to hold the door closed with his hands while Joe circled back around and landed so he could shut the door. I am pretty sure that Joe had some foul words to say and Ellery probably needed to run to the bathroom. Lol! Anyway, they took back off and flew to Grundy. By the time they got to here the weather had turned bad. The wind was blowing so hard that I could hear it whistling through the windows. I looked out my windows and my weeping willow tree was bent over almost to the ground. I couldn’t believe they were trying to fly in that weather. Joe called me to meet them at the airport and I don’t know who was happier to see them on the ground, me, Joe, or Ellery. Whew!!!
The other day someone commented that they didn’t like seeing my zipper. The half tuck (you tuck just the front in your pants) actually makes you look skinnier. But since I know everyone might not like that look, I took a photo of the shirt not tucked. So which way do you prefer? Out or half tucked?
My jeans are another pair of Vigoss, I have 3 or 4. This pair is a skinny leg version but it still has the contrasting white stitching that I like.
Love this look.
Love your outfit and the blouse tucked in! Super modern and playful. Enjoyed hearing about your brother and your mom! I sure miss mine❤

Kathleen, I wish I had “your” enthusiasm. I can’t seem to get my rear in gear to exercise or lose weight. I have just gotten better at “posing” for pictures. I now know how to stand to look thinner. lol!
Tania, bet you got tons of compliments today! Looks like you lost weight and you look 15 years younger! One word… fabulous!?
WOW! I think I love you, Lori! ?
Tania you always look wonderful! My granddaughters keep me soooo busy, but I do read your blog (almost) every day. AND I love it!
You look great in this outfit. Love this top. I prefer it out?
Love your outfit today and yesterday! Wasn’t that the cocoa colored cape? You always rock what you wear! Have a great day!
A little bit late to comment but I have had a loooong day at school here in Lima, Peru. I am loving your necklaces so much!! Great outfit!
I love the shirt and I like the half tuck!
Love the floral sleeves on this top! I’ve been thinking about getting a tee shirt with the contrasting sleeves too. I like to wear my tee-shirts with the front tuck, but I think they look fine either way. I do like the way tucking in the front cinches in a shirt that may be a little too roomy.
I read your post yesterday and liked your outfit, just was too busy at work to comment! 🙂
Have a great Wednesday!!
Tania, I love reading your blog everyday, and you should be ashamed not talking about Ellery, having such a big place in your upbringing. LOL!!
But, I dislike seeing your blog, because I have loved every piece of Jewelry you wear, to include today. I just placed a order again this week, by the
time I am done, I might just have to be part of the Plunder team. LOL The little boxes are stacking up. 😉
That is a great outfit, I like the shirt both tucked in and out. Hope you have a great weather day.
