FLORAL SLEEVES FOR SPRING
My mother told me the other day that you would never know I had a brother by reading my blog. He is the baby of the family and also the “pet.” He is the smart one, he is the witty one, and he is the one that visits them every day. I have no idea why I haven’t mentioned him before. Lol! So, today we are going to talk about my brother, Ellery. I bet some of you are saying to yourself that that is a strange name. My cousins from Michigan actually started calling him that while he was still in Mom’s belly. It was a character on Gomer Pyle and they thought it was a typical “hillbilly” name.
Ellery is twelve years younger than me so I thought I was his mother. I carried him everywhere and doted on him until he got old enough to torment me. He hasn’t stopped yet. Haha! He has come to live with Joe and me twice since we have been married. One time Joe and Ellery were flying back to Grundy. I am sure most of you think of an airport as having long strips of pavement and a nice hanger. That is not Grundy. Now envision an aircraft carrier, that is Grundy. We live in the mountains and the airport is on the top of one of them. That means there is a steep dropoff on both ends of the runway. You have to be a pretty good pilot to fly in and out of and no big planes could ever land there, the runway is just too short. This day was horrible flying weather. When they took off from the Livingston Airport, Ellery had not shut his door very good and it popped open. He had to hold the door closed with his hands while Joe circled back around and landed so he could shut the door. I am pretty sure that Joe had some foul words to say and Ellery probably needed to run to the bathroom. Lol! Anyway, they took back off and flew to Grundy. By the time they got to here the weather had turned bad. The wind was blowing so hard that I could hear it whistling through the windows. I looked out my windows and my weeping willow tree was bent over almost to the ground. I couldn’t believe they were trying to fly in that weather. Joe called me to meet them at the airport and I don’t know who was happier to see them on the ground, me, Joe, or Ellery. Whew!!!
The other day someone commented that they didn’t like seeing my zipper. The half tuck (you tuck just the front in your pants) actually makes you look skinnier. But since I know everyone might not like that look, I took a photo of the shirt not tucked. So which way do you prefer? Out or half tucked?
My jeans are another pair of Vigoss, I have 3 or 4. This pair is a skinny leg version but it still has the contrasting white stitching that I like.
You look beautiful in this outfit and the shirt is very flattering.
Tania I am a new follower. I love the whole outfit on you. The top is adorable. I like it either way, but the half tuck shows “sassy” personality.
Hi Tania, I follow on Pinterest. I’m 64 years young and love all the clothes you wear. I love to wear tunics but find them very hard to find. I can’t wear any polyester so it has to be cotton or linen which really limits availability. I wish I could put my outfits together like you do. Great look
