Now for 50 Is Not Old…….50 IS NOT OLD | FASHION FLASH AND A COLD SHOULDER

BRING ON SPRING!!! I am so ready for all the chirping birds and croaking frogs. I love all the trees budding out and the flowers starting to bloom out. It is such a happy time of the year. It just seems like everything is happy and carefree. I think I must have gotten my daily dose of “Pollyanna” this morning because I am in such a good mood. I am almost afraid to say that, I might jinx the rest of my day. Lol! At least I know better than to sing in the morning, now. One of you commented that there was a saying, “Sing in the morning and cry by night.” Was that correct?
50 IS NOT OLD | FASHION FLASH AND A COLD SHOULDERThat was certainly correct the last time I posted about how good I felt. By that afternoon I felt like “I have been rode hard and put up wet.” I think that might be in reference to a horse but you probably understand what I mean. I just felt defeated, depressed, and dreary. That was all the “d” words I could think of. Fortunately, I am one of those annoying people who is always looking for the silver lining or the bright side of any situation. By the next day, I was back to my chipper self. The situation hadn’t changed but my attitude had. Some things you can’t change and the sooner you realize that and move on, the better off you will be. Joe and I have adopted a saying, “You either laugh or you cry,” and I know laughing is the option I try to go with although it is not always possible.50 IS NOT OLD | FASHION FLASH AND A COLD SHOULDERIs this not the cutest cold shoulder top you have ever seen? I am absolutely in love with this top!!! I love the soft lilac color but the ruffles on the shoulder cut outs are the crème de la crème. Or as us gurls in the hills of Tennessee say, “that’s the cat’s meow.” I bought this at the same little boutique that I bought the distressed sweatshirt that I wore on Friday. I warned Kim that this shirt would be hitting the blog today. She also informed me that this top comes in peach. The top is not on the website but she does have it in stock. You can email her for details since she is not open on Mondays, 2016trendythreads@gmail.com Here are a couple other styles by Entro that I like.

50 IS NOT OLD | FASHION FLASH AND A COLD SHOULDERThis was the best picture I could find to show you my earrings. I just got these in on Friday. They are a light ivory color and they a metal, however, they are not heavy. I hate a heavy necklace or earrings. These are called the Marilee.50 IS NOT OLD | FASHION FLASH AND A COLD SHOULDERYou have probably seen both of these necklaces before, they are two of my favorites. The Carmen necklace has all those cute tassels and beads. It just screams, “SPRING!” And the Destiny necklace is a classic, I can wear it any time, any season. My two bracelets are new. The smaller magnetic bracelet is called the Flynn. The Flynn was the last bling bracelet that I lacked in the single strand, I still like 1 more in the multiple strand bracelets, but I am sure I will remedy that in my next order. Lol! The Flynn is an Aurora Borealis with a purple cast. It looked great with this outfit. The really large stone bracelet is called the Mary Alice. I didn’t want this bracelet, I thought it was too big and too gaudy. I LOVE IT!!! I just ordered the matching necklace. Are you gurls calling my gaudy???? Hahaha! 50 IS NOT OLD | FASHION FLASH AND A COLD SHOULDERThis is what happens when you can’t get your bracelet fastened before the pictures start snapping. #TripodTroubles EVERY purchase over $50.00 (excluding tax and shipping) will be getting a 15% off discount check from me. This month there may also be a few giveaways splattered throughout the month. In fact, I am having a giveaway on my personal FaceBook page so be sure to enter. It is Joe’s birthday month and I feel like celebrating!!! To place an order simply go to www.plunderdesign.com/party/tania350 IS NOT OLD | FASHION FLASH AND A COLD SHOULDERDon’t you just love this springy pair of Pixie Pants from Old Navy? I love this floral print, it is something that makes me happy. When I purchased this pair I really had no idea how I intended to wear them but that didn’t stop me. The obvious choices would be purples, mustard, and white but you could also do navy. I know this won’t be the most worn pair of pants in my wardrobe but it will be one of the most fun pairs. Lol!

50 IS NOT OLD | FASHION FLASH AND A COLD SHOULDERThe wind kicked up a notch or two making this a true “cold shoulder” look. Haha! Some of you have mentioned my purse in the comments. This is a Dooney & Bourke purse that I bought at the overstock store in town. BTW, they now have their summer merchandise in stock for any of you who were planning a trip to Grundy to go shopping.

50 IS NOT OLD | FASHION FLASH AND A COLD SHOULDERSome of you have emailed me about why I even bother with Rodan + Fields so I have thought about that and decided to share “my” story with you.

I started with Rodan and Fields back in March of 2016. I had watched my friend post about the products and her terrific results. But she “sold” the product so I couldn’t help but wonder if the products were really “that” good or was she just being a salesperson. After about two months of watching her another friend of mine, one that did not sell the products, posted on FaceBook how happy she was that she had tried Rodan and Fields and she even did a before and after picture. That was all I needed to give me the nudge I needed.

After a couple of weeks, I started to see results. I had tried many, many different products in the past but I would soon give up on them because I never saw any changes. I was THRILLED! For the first time ever I was actually taking care of my face. But, I was starting to run out of the regimen and I needed to reorder. My products had lasted me almost 3 months! I wanted to purchase them at the best possible price so I called my friend out of the blue and told her I wanted to signup. I explained to her that I had NO interest in selling the products because I was not a salesperson. I only wanted to be able to purchase for my personal use.

Fantastic!!! I now would be able to use two Regimens instead of just the one. Soon I started getting comments like, “what are you doing different? Your face is glowing.” “Have you changed your lighting because you seem to be glowing?” “Did you change your makeup? You are just glowing!” It actually took me a while to understand what they were talking about. I hadn’t changed anything, EXCEPT that I was now using Rodan and Fields. Talk about a light bulb moment. I didn’t think anyone was noticing.

Now I feel like it is my responsibility to tell EVERYONE! I know some of you will think the same thing I did, that I am only trying to “sell” you something. That is not the case. I started my blog, www.50isnotold.com because I wanted to help ladies after the age of 40 have more confidence about themselves. I chose the fashion avenue to help them look the best they could and not become frumpy. Why would I not tell them about something I LOVE that could help them with their face, the one thing they could not hide or cover up?

I am getting closer and closer to hitting the email subscribers 5000 mark!!! Once we hit the magic number I will be having a giveaway! I am going broke with giveaways!

PLEASE take the time to signup. Also, if you would like to share my posts on Facebook or Twitter, I would appreciate that. It helps get my blog out to more people, and I am sure you just want to spread the entertaining sayings I have. Lol! The comment section is at the end of the post, so keep scrolling. I look forward to reading all the comments, they make my day.
