Fall Outfits for Work and More
Since I’ve started working from home, I don’t need to dress up for work. But that doesn’t mean that I don’t still need clothing that looks professional and is suitable for working outside the home. I like dressing up sometimes and wearing something dressier than jeans. So, today, I’m styling several fall outfits for work and more from Nordstrom.
Fall Outfit For Work And More From Nordstrom
Isn’t this a gorgeous fall outfit for work and more? I love the professional look of this outfit, and it would be perfect for those who work in an office.
This silky floral shirt is not like most floral shirts. It had deeper, darker, almost moody colors and is perfect for fall. I love pairing black and brown together, and the colors in this shirt made it so easy to style with a pair of chocolate colored trousers.
I wanted to pick up on the brown tones in the shirt, and these chocolate trousers highlighted them. These trousers fit perfectly and have great draping for a stylish look. These are great classic trousers that you can wear for years to work and more.
I had been looking for a cap toe heel, and these Slingback Pointed Cap Toe Pumps were precisely what I wanted. They have a 2 1/2-inch heel, and the slingback design is perfect for pants and dresses. These classic style pumps are also available in two other color combinations, and I suggest sizing up a half size.
You can also wear black trousers with the Floral Button-Up Shirt. It always amazes me how changing the color of your pants can completely change the outfit’s look.
This outfit looks professional and perfect for work but is more serious-looking than the one with the chocolate pants. These pants fit true to size and aren’t as long as the chocolate pair. These are closer to an ankle length and are perfect for showing off your shoes.
Let’s switch things up again for another fall outfit for work and more. This classic look is easy to replicate since most of us already have black pants and a white button-up shirt in our closets.
A Glen Plaid Blazer is a classic item that you can wear forever. It is a timeless piece that will never go out of style. I will generally spend more for classic items that will last the test of time, but this one is affordable at under $150.
I’m wearing a medium, however, I think I would be more comfortable in a large. It is a little tight when I move my arms around. I couldn’t get the small blue stripe in the blazer to show up in my photos, but it is beautiful and looks nice in person.
Just in case you thought I had forgotten how to wear colorful clothing, here is one that is bright and colorful. This fall outfit for work and more features a cranberry/burgundy sweater and plaid trousers with a small burgundy stripe.
This Mixed Stitch V-Neck Sweater has gorgeous details! Look at the knit work and the scalloped detail on the sleeves. Because the sweater was ribbed, I sized up to a large but needed a medium instead. The sweater fits true to size and isn’t constricting.
I love these plaid trousers! The design is classic so that you can wear them for years. Notice that the pattern lines up, a detail of higher-end clothing. I paired all the pants with the Medium Perfect Leather Belt by Madewell. I bought this belt years ago when most of our jeans were low or medium-waisted, so I bought a large, which is perfect for those styles. However, I will also have to buy a medium since it is too big for me with high-waisted pants and jeans.

Why I Love Shopping At Nordstrom
I love shopping at Nordstrom because they offer a wide range of products from a variety of brands. And they carry high-end luxury and designer brands, as well as more affordable options. This makes it easy for everyone to find something within their budget range.
Nordstrom is known for its excellent customer service, offering free shipping and free returns; it is super convenient. I love trying on clothing in the privacy of my home, but I hate paying for shipping and returns. That is one reason I love shopping at Nordstrom; trying new clothing styles never costs me anything. Nordstrom offers BOPUS (Buy Online Pick Up in Store) and contactless curbside pickup options.

I love the sweater!
I would wear all of these looks. The floral blouse is stunning and I love the plaid blazer and pants. Cranberry pink is my favorite color pop. Wonderful post today, Tania!
I’ve been looking for the Madewell belt, to purchase another one, but they don’t have it on their website anymore. I just ordered the black/gold buckle. You made my day! Thanks Tania!!
Yay!!! You never know what you will find on my blog! Lol!
This is just the post I need! I have changed positions at my job and need to upscale my wardrobe just a little bit. Nordstrom is one of my favorite stores, although ours closed during the pandemic and never re-opened 🙁. But we do have a Nordstrom Rack nearby that I might go checkout. i prefer to try on clothes if possible.
Kirst, I would almost be naked if I could only buy clothing that I tried on first. Lol!
im loving the plaid😍
I’ll take one of each! You look gorgeous.
I recently found your site and I’m loving all your fashion combinations. Just wish there were more petite options. 😊
Hi, Diane! I’m so glad that you are enjoying the blog! 😊
I am noticing many of the blazers are not lined. Can you tell me why manufacturers are no longer lining blazers?
I can’t tell you that. Some are, some aren’t, and I have no idea why.
I LOVE the silk blouse with the brown pants. So chic! I probably wouldn’t have looked at the blouse a second time, but when you put it with the brown pants, it came alive. Thank you for sharing.
If I have learned just one of Tanya’s suggestions it is to buy jackets, pants etc. with the plaids matching up – you can tell a good quality item by looking at the seams and seeing that they line up – not so much so on cheaper made items.
Thank you, Tanya!
You get an A+ for paying attention in class. 🤣
All the outfits are very flattering on you. The berry pink is definitely your color!
