EXTENDING YOUR WARDROBE SERIES, DAY 4

The blazer may be gray, but my necklace and earrings are tortoise colored. I am picking up the oatmeal color of the tank top, and the browns in the layers of the skirt. I am wearing the Maren necklace and the Charma earrings. The single bracelet with the druzy drop is one of the bracelets in the Rachel set. I love that set since I can wear it as a set, or each bracelet separately. All these items have sold out already.
My unique skirt is one that was c/o the Purple Poppy. I love all of the chiffon layers in the skirt and the color combination that is throughout the skirt. I usually have the waistband covered with a longer top, but I tucked in the tank top today for a different look. This exact skirt is not available anymore, it is several years old. My shoes are by Michael Kors, and they are very comfortable, especially since they are heels.
I may have a son who is going to be 40 next year, but I don’t want to look like I do. A good skincare regimen is important; I, of course, am biased and think my skincare is the best. Wait, my skincare is ranked the number 1 skincare in ALL of North America, so I guess that I was right. Lol! Anyway, if you are interested in trying my skincare, Rodan + Fields, you can try it risk-free since you have a 60-day money-back guarantee. Here is where you can take the Solutions tool and see what RF recommends for you.
I do encourage you to please sign up for my daily emails so that you can click on the link and it will take you straight to the post. No more having to remember to type in the name, etc.

I love the skirt! I’m not a fan of blazers/jackets, but could certainly style the skirt in a way that work for me. I’ll keep my eyes open for something similar. I would love to partner with you, but need to get a few more posts up, as life has gotten in the way and I haven’t been keeping up. If you plan to continue the Friday with Friends series, please keep me in mind for the future!

I have been following your site for the past few months and I love it! Your different looks are great and so well put together. You asked for suggestions to link up with and I really enjoy Busbee Style. She does a great job as well. Check her out if you haven’t already. Also, Happy 4th and happy you have had such a fun week with your family. At some point, I want to try your skincare line as I listened to the podcast with your sister a few weeks ago and found it to be very interesting and informative. Enjoy your weekend!
Thanks for telling me about Erin. I checked her blog out and it is fantastic. I’ll send her a message and see if she wants to link up. Send me your address by email, fiftyisnotold@gmail.com, and I will stick a sample of RF in the mail to you.
So, so cute!!!!
Aww, thanks, Dawn!
Good series this week. It’s easy to look in your closet and say “I have nothing to wear” but actually we have a lot of options. It’s just hard to see them. This series helped me with that. So glad you had fun week with your family. And you got so much work done in between. That’s an inspiration in itself. Have good weekend. ?
I love this last look! My post on Monday is how to wear my new Modcloth 5 ways. Since I am true to spend less on clothes to save more for travel, I always love these types of series. I have been reading your blog for a few years now and just started my blog a few months ago. You were part of my inspiration. And if you need an extra Friday with frienda, I would love to participate. You can find me at

Congratulations on getting your blog up and running. I’ll be in touch with you about featuring you on my blog soon, it will be a lot of fun.
Thanks! Looking forward to it!
It is easy to find pockets of time to work if we look. I used to say that I don’t have time, but the truth is, I do. I was wasting time instead of using it for constructive activities.
Really love this outfit!
Thanks, Eliz! I hope you liked this series.
Another fun summer outfit! Enjoy your time with family!
Thanks, Janet. I hope you enjoyed the series.
You look fantastic in that outfit. The jacket looks blue in the photo. Is it really gray?
Yes, the jacket is dark gray. It is because of the lighting under the porch that messes with the colors.
