EXTENDING YOUR WARDROBE SERIES, DAY 4
Usually, I am glad to see Friday come around each week, but not this time. Friday is going to be the last “full” day that all of my grandbabies will be in the same spot, at least for a little while. My son and his family will be heading back to Tennessee sometime on Saturday, and even though I am thoroughly worn out, it is a good kind of worn out. Those of you who have grandbabies know precisely what I am talking about. Lol!
Also, I usually have a Friday with Friends post, but because it was a holiday weekend, I decided not to link with a blogger. Most people are on a long weekend or spending time with their families, and I didn’t want to not have my full audience on hand to visit with them. I will start back up next Friday with a new friend. Today’s look is the last in my extending your wardrobe series. I hope you have enjoyed all of the looks, and have taken inspiration on who you can shop your closet to create more looks. When I started this series, I had no idea what I was going to wear with the top. So, I went to my closet and decided on the bottom half of my outfit. After all, an outfit is a top and a bottom, and then everything else is optional. My optional item today is a ruched sleeve dark gray jacket. The jacket is an old jacket that I wear a lot, and since it is a neutral item, I can wear it a lot.
The blazer may be gray, but my necklace and earrings are tortoise colored. I am picking up the oatmeal color of the tank top, and the browns in the layers of the skirt. I am wearing the Maren necklace and the Charma earrings. The single bracelet with the druzy drop is one of the bracelets in the Rachel set. I love that set since I can wear it as a set, or each bracelet separately. All these items have sold out already.
My unique skirt is one that was c/o the Purple Poppy. I love all of the chiffon layers in the skirt and the color combination that is throughout the skirt. I usually have the waistband covered with a longer top, but I tucked in the tank top today for a different look. This exact skirt is not available anymore, it is several years old. My shoes are by Michael Kors, and they are very comfortable, especially since they are heels.

I love the skirt! I’m not a fan of blazers/jackets, but could certainly style the skirt in a way that work for me. I’ll keep my eyes open for something similar. Good series this week. It’s easy to look in your closet and say “I have nothing to wear” but actually we have a lot of options. It’s just hard to see them. This series helped me with that. Yes, the jacket is dark gray. It is because of the lighting under the porch that messes with the colors.
