EVERYONE NEEDS SHAPE ENHANCING JEANS

I am in a getting better at everything I am doing mode. So many of us get in a routine that we never want to learn new things. Learning new things takes time and effort and what we are already doing is working perfectly well. The truth is that for most of us our age, we are just afraid that we can’t learn how to do it differently. I am raising my hand here because I HATE the time it takes me to learn something. The learning curve seems to take longer and longer each time. Last week I decided to learn how to use MailChimp. It is an email system that a lot of bloggers use but it is not an easy system to learn. They do not have a support phone number so I was left with YouTube and Google as my trainers. You have to be careful who you listen to on those platforms because you really don’t know if the person knows what they are talking about. Plus, some of the videos and instructions are several years old and the whole process has been changed since then. I survived my first newsletter (not the best but it worked) and that gave me the confidence to try another avenue…….photography. I use a point and shoot camera and I put it on autofocus so that I don’t have to learn anything. I have tried to learn how to take pictures using manual focus but I always give up in the end. The pictures are too bright, too dark, not in focus, etc. I called my sister (don’t I always) to have her walk me through the steps. It was an epic disaster. Lol!!! She doesn’t know my camera so she couldn’t tell me how to change the settings. Plus, I was using a mannequin to focus on. I focused the camera then I would run and move the mannequin and then jump into the picture where it had been standing. It was really hot, I am in jeans and a long sleeve shirt, I am miserable, and the pictures are not turning out like I want. But, I am learning. I am not staying stagnant. I will get better. Don’t settle….ever!!!Football season has already started and here in Grundy, the high school’s colors are blue and gold. That is the first thing that I thought of when I saw this top. The next thing that I thought of was hot cute this top was. I like the crossover design of the top and the fact that it has a button to hold it in place at the top. As you can see, the top is lined with a different check pattern which gives some visual interest when you roll up the sleeves. That check pattern down the placket makes this blouse really stand out. I added the Constance necklace to this look because of the blue and gold print in the tassels. I wasn’t sure when I bought this necklace if I would ever wear it but I have found a lot of things to wear it with. I like all of the mixed media in this necklace. You have the gold chain, the wooden bead, the fabric cord, and all of the different tassels. This is not your run-of-the-mill necklace and you will certainly stand out wearing this. I think this will look adorable with just a plain navy tee shirt or sweater. The Sydney earrings have blue fringe and hammered gold. They are a 3″ drop and they are a nice statement pair. I am not sure ladies my age have gotten on board the whole fringe trend, but I really like the trend. The Tasha bracelet is navy beads and a golden tassel on an elastic cord. This just slips on easily and looks super cute with this top. Did you know that this month is my 3 year Blog anniversary? I can’t believe that it has been that long! These are shape enhancing bootcut jeans and they are only 24.99! What a fabulous price!!! I like the semi-faded look, not too light and not too dark. I tend to wear more bootcut jeans in the fall especially with boots. (imagine that) I have noticed more and more bootcut jeans in the stores. All of those features are nice but I heard tummy flattening and I quit listening after that. Lol! That was all that I needed to hear. These are my normal size but I think that I could have worn a smaller size. I am not sure if they run big or if it is because that I have lost some weight. I added the deep mustard Earth shoes to the look. I have had this pair for about 8 months but I really have never worn them very much. I just couldn’t find anything that I wanted to wear them with. I do like the way they look with this outfit and they are pretty comfortable. I have only heard good things about this brand.
