EARLY SHOPPING DEALS
I was talking in yesterday’s post about getting ready for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Going shopping on Black Friday has always been something that I looked forward to. We would get the Sunday newspaper before Thanksgiving, get all of the sale papers out of it and sit down with markers. I would circle all of the items that I was interested in and then see if there were enough things at that store for me to even bother going to it. Some stores opened at one time and others at a different time which made it very hard to figure out which ones to hit and in what order. Boy, have times changed!!! You can still get up at the crack of dawn and stand in line to go shopping if you like that experience. But, you can also sit in your pajamas with a cup of coffee or hot chocolate and go shopping online. Stores have gotten very smart and have figured out that a lot of us prefer the online version. I don’t like having to deal with parking issues. I don’t like people reaching over me and grabbing things. I get ill and usually end up leaving because I would rather pay full price as to deal with the hassle. Online shopping has changed all of that!
Here is another way that stores have gotten smart. They realize that the early bird gets the worm. So, some of them started offering deals on Thanksgiving or even the day before. But, last night I opened my computer to a huge Fall Sale from Nordstrom of 40% off! I immediately put a few things in my shopping cart and then thought that you gurls might like to know what my picks would be. There were hundreds of pages and I would have still been going through them all, so instead, I decided to just see what I thought would be great buys under $50.00. If you see something that you are interested in just click on the picture to go to the item. Or, go here and go shopping yourself. Also, Amazon has just announced their Best Books of 2018 and guess what book is on the 9-12-year-old list?? MY SISTER’S BOOK. Whoo Hoo! I am soooo proud of her and if you have a grandchild, please think about buying them this book for Christmas.

I have never found anything on Nordstrom that has attracted me enough to buy from them and yet I see other people wearing lovely items from them. I must just be unlucky. Have a lovely weekend.
Jill, that is what I used to think too. Then I found some brands that I liked and I can buy from them all the time now. Plus, because of the free shipping, it is like trying everything on in my house instead of at a store.
One thing to remember when you shop this early is to be mindful of the stores return policy. If your recipient opens their present and decides to return the item, it may be past the time limit to return.
That is one of the things that I like about Nordstrom. They have free shipping and free returns all the time! That is not just for a limited time. Also, there is no time limit on returns. However, I am sure that there would be exceptions, but if you get a gift and it is not OLD, then you can return it.

Daria, I checked and you are subscribed for the daily email. Check your spam, junk, or promotions folder and see if it is getting sent there. Once you move it to your inbox it should be good again.

Beth, my mother seems to have issues also. Be sure to look in your spam or promotions folders. Newsletters can go to these email folders depending on your email provider.
