DRESSING FOR THE WEEKEND
The weekend is finally here, and it is time to sit back and relax. Friday’s are one of my favorite days of the week, and not because it is the start of the weekend. I love it because I get to introduce all of you to a blogger friend! I almost always get an email from my highlighted blogger telling me how much that enjoyed meeting all of my readers. I feel like a proud mama bear when I get those messages. Lol! You are in for a real treat today. If you like my blog, then you are going to love Kay also.
Kay Harms is the blogger behind, Dressed for my day. I swear that she could be my younger sister. She is a blonde that loves wearing color, and her sweet personality comes through in every post. Originally from Georgia, her southern roots are still deep in her soul even though she now calls Arizona home. I know this because she prefers “sweet” tea. Lol! That is the mark of a true southern girl! She recently celebrated her one-year blogiversary, and she has accomplished so much in her first year! Like me, blogging was a “second act” and not what she initially thought that she would be doing. She laughs and says that the money her mother spent on modeling classes for her is now paying off. I tell my mother something similar; I say that all those years of me shopping at every store I saw was training for my career as a blogger. Lol!
Yesterday, I dressed in neutrals. So, today, I decided that we might need to liven up this party! After all, the weekend is coming, and we have some partying to do. Lol! Spring is here, but it is still chilly in a lot of the country, so a sweater is perfect at this time of the year. I bought this sweater a couple of years ago at Belk’s. You might have seen me wear this before (here) on the blog back in 2016. Wow! That seems like it has been a lifetime ago. Like the fun and playful print post (here) that I did this week, this sweater makes me smile. You would think that wearing this sweater might make me “crabby” instead. Haha!
Today I am traveling to host an event for two of my business partners in North Carolina. If you are in the Dunn or Erwin North Carolina vacinity, please come out to Jernigan’s boutique and say hello! I would love meeting you!!!
Please, remember to go and check out Kay’s post today and leave her a short comment. Also, if you are visiting me from Kay, welcome and please come back again soon!

Don’t like orange. Don’t wear orange. I absolutely would buy and wear that striped crabby orange top.
I love the flats.
You look great in this outfit from head to toe. I wear jeans non-stop and even to church though my mama raised me better. You can wear jeans anywhere with a great top, some jewelry or a scarf and a good pair of shoes.

Hi, Tanya,
Do you wear any sock shoe liners when you wear your flats? If so, can you recommend your brand? I don’t like to go sockless with my shoes and am on a search for liners that don’t slip off my heel (although I think they may be like unicorns and don’t really exist:). Love your outfit today!
Thank you! Neta
