YOU DON’T HAVE TO GET ALL DOLLED UP EVERYDAY
I can’t believe this week is already going by so fast. I know it is only Tuesday but I am a trying to get everything done so that I can head out of town again on Thursday. I am not a big traveler but it seems like I have been gone so much in the last few months. For some reason, I tend to travel more in the fall. I will be going back to Tennesse for the grandbabies birthday party, I am traveling to Charleston, SC for a Rodan + Fields mini convention, my sister has a vintage fashion show in Georgia, and then there is Thanksgiving and Christmas. Whew! That wears me out even thinking about it.
Joe and I are leaving on Thursday going to Panama City for the Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam. If you remember from last year, we were on our way there when it got called off because of a hurricane. The weather is not looking very good for the event again this year but at least there is no hurricane this time. Unfortunately, Houston and Texas are getting the horrible weather this year. I love the coastal areas but it must be so hard to have to worry about the threat of a Hurricane all the time. Every place has its problems though. Some areas have avalanches, earthquakes, poverty, drought, tornados, etc.
Now is a fantastic time to shop for next year. All the Labor Day sales will be happening this coming weekend and it is the perfect time to buy summer items. I love clothing but I don’t like paying a lot of money for my clothing so I always check out the sales racks first when I go into a store. I buy a lot of things that I may not wear until the following year but that is alright by me. I just hang it up in my closet and it is like Christmas next year when I start pulling out new items. This top is one of those items that I bought on the sales rack. This is super cute and was only 15.00. WooHoo!!! It has embroidery on the top which is a trend for this year and I predict that it will still be popular next year.
How much time does it take to run a Rodan + Fields business?

- To send a message? – 3 minutes

? To make deliveries? No time. We don’t make deliveries.
? To sell your inventory? No time. We don’t carry inventory.
? To throw parties? No time. No parties required unless we want to.
? To place an order? No time. Our customers order from our websites.
Bottom line . . . on an average day, I run my business successfully in 20 to 30 minutes. The real question should be, “what else would I be doing in that 20 to 30 minutes that would be making me money?” Look at your day and think about how much time you spend doing nothing. Nothing that brings you any income at all. Email me and can set up a call, that is in my conversation or coffee time. Lol!!!
You know when you put a post on FaceBook you wait to see if you will get any “likes” or “hearts?” That is how I feel about my blog. Leaving a comment and pinning a picture to Pinterest is my equivalent to a “like.” If you share my post on FaceBook that is a “heart.” Show me some love, gurls!!!
The comment section is at the end of the post, so keep scrolling. I look forward to reading all the comments, they make my day. Be sure to follow me on Pinterest, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook.

I just have to ask this question, how do you actually run the Rodan & Fields business?? My friend is also a rep, don’t know if you’ve ever met Karen Thigpen from Jacksonville, Fl., but anyway, she has asked me many times to become a rep. My real questions are, once you’ve sold products to your friends, family, & co-workers, where/how do you get new business? How could someone really start this? By the way, I have saved your pinterest pics for a while now, and just finally subscribed to your newsletter. Love it!!
Too much color overload ,on this look for me
I soooo hope you get to enjoy the Pepsi Jam at the beach this year!!!?
I’ve been checking out your blog for about a week now…I googled fashion for over 50’s for some ideas on what looks good for the over 50’s and your blog came up so I subscribed to receive it to my email. I’m really enjoying seeing the many different clothes/outfits you are wearing and getting ideas for myself. I’ve never been a big jewellery wearer and so that’s a challenge for me as it feels way too dressed up. I do like colour though.I also enjoy reading your blogs on Christianity as I too am a Christian. I live in Australia so we are heading into Spring. Thanks
Just started following you and love your blog! I have a daughter named Emersyn spelled the same way as your granddaughter. How crazy is that! ?
Great outfit. I hope you have good weather this weekend. Just got back from a month on Mobile Bay and Gulf Shores – not too far from Panama City. Wear the coolest clothes you have because the heat is brutal. Only reason we were there in August was due to a family wedding. Safe travels to you and Joe.
LOve the top ,I have a pair of white jeans with red flowers this would go perfect with and I like you shop sales ,some of these other fashion blogs have really expensive clothing ,you buy quality clothing at affordable prices ,I know you get what you pay for ,but I like quality ,but I like it on sale, lol
Cute outfit! I enjoy reading the blog every day, especially on Sunday. When is the vintage fashion show? My daughters and I would love it. Safe travels this week!
Good morning, Cute Girl! Lolololololol, I see that Miss Julia is here from When the Girls Rule! Miss Julia, I’ve turned my niece to your blog! We get the biggest kick out of you! Both of us are apples, she’s a Red Delicious and I’m a Pink Lady!! My niece calls me her travel size twin!
Tania, every chance I get during the day, I look for your post! Some days it’s early and some days it’s late morning or afternoon, but each time is special, dear and FUN!
Are you and Joe driving? Oh, gosh, be safe and have a blast! Now, you will tell US all about it, won’t you??
❤️❤️❤️Your top! Red and pink are my faves! Love your polish and your sandals! I got my nails done last week for the first time in five or six years! You’re a huge inspiration to me and I found you on Pinterest only two months, ago.
Have a wonderful day! Thank you for making my day wonderful, too!?
I appreciate you breaking it down like that, the biggest hurdle for me is the cost to do this. When I get my finances in better shape then I can do this. One question, I am interested in the lash boost, how much is it? Thank you for sharing this!
I hope you get to Panama City this year. It’s so disappointing to have something cancelled when you’ve looked so forward to it. I love leggings too for their comfort but I have to keep an eye out for how thin the material is or how the waist rolls down (and keeps going!)– definitely a concern when you’re apple-shaped like me! Safe travels!
Julia

I LOVE LOVE LOVE your blog! I am so happy that I found it in a Google search on “how to style clothes for women over 50.” Your blog was on the list and of course it was the name that caught my eye, so I subscribed and have been enjoying it daily for about 3 months. Thanks so much for your tips and ideas – I really appreciate the time and effort you put into each post. Are you a Plunder stylist as well? I’m in love with the jewelry they have – gorgeous!
Tammy, that is so nice of you to say. And, yes, I am a Plunder stylist also. I don’t have near enough things keeping me busy. Lol!!!
Well said time wise Tania!? Love that cute little top!
Safe travels. Outfit is cute, I enjoy it being dressed up everyday
Enjoy your weekend! I hope you have nice weather and pray for those dealing with flooding in Texas. Safe travels for you…. don’t forget your Hunter boots just in case!!!
Love the detail on your top!
Thanks, Theresa. The weather is looking terrible. 80 to 100% chance of thunderstorms. It doesn’t appear that I will be making it to the beach. lol!
Christmas?? Haha, please lets enjoy the sun while we can!
Hahaha, it is already starting to get cooler outside.
