50 IS NOT OLD | COUNTING DOWN THE DAYSI am really starting to get excited about the upcoming weekend and it is only Tuesday. Lol! I don’t want to wish my life away but I can hardly wait for Friday to come. I know a lot of people say that EVERY week just because they don’t have to work on the weekends but I am saying it because of soooo many reasons.50 IS NOT OLD | COUNTING DOWN THE DAYSMy daughter is flying in from Alaska on Friday and even though I just saw her about a month ago I am still pretty stoked about seeing her again. I will also get to see my son, daughter-in-law, and my other grandbabies who I don’t get to see often enough! I will be staying at my mom and dad’s house AND my sister and her family will be coming in from Atlanta. My brother and his family just live down the road from my mom and dad so we will all be together which does not happen near enough. I doubt if Joseph and his family will travel the 5 hours because of the new baby but they are still considering it. After all, it is not every day that your grandfather turns 100!!! All of my cousins, aunts, uncles, etc. will all be gathering for the party on Saturday and I can’t wait to see everyone. I love Grundy but I do miss getting to see my side of the family.50 IS NOT OLD | COUNTING DOWN THE DAYSI bought this Violet + Claire top because of the colors and print. You all know I love wearing color and these colors blend so well together. The top might not show it very well but the background is a pale pink and then there are many different shades of pinks, greens, and blues all mingled together. When I wore this top last July I wore it with dark gray or black denim pants which brought out the darker patterns in the top. One thing about colorful tops is that you have a lot of options when it comes to pants.

50 IS NOT OLD | COUNTING DOWN THE DAYSToday I am wearing the Summer necklace from Plunder Design. This is a shorter necklace measuring 20″. I love layering a short necklace and a longer necklace together for a dramatic effect. The colors on this necklace are all pastels such as pale green, pale pink, and cream. There is an antique look about this necklace and if you could see it in person you would understand what I mean. I think the flower itself, which looks like opaque glass, might be the reason. The necklace does have a pair of matching earrings called Dawn which I have on but you can’t see.50 IS NOT OLD | COUNTING DOWN THE DAYSFor a longer necklace, I chose the Plunder Posse.  It is a monthly subscription service where you get 1 to 3 different items every month for a total of 25.00 all fees included. There is a pair of earrings that also came with this necklace. The two bracelets I have on are the Beatrice and the Ashley. The Beatrice, on the left, is pearls and has dangling charms as well as a monogram. The Ashley is on the right and it has been my favorite bracelet from the Spring and Summer catalog. BTW, the new Fall supplement catalog will be coming out soon, I can hardly wait to see what new items will be in store for us. Go to plunderdesign.com/taniastephens to place an order, just pick on a party with my name.50 IS NOT OLD | COUNTING DOWN THE DAYSYes, my little owlet is still with me. Lol! Her white hair really pops against my cardigan. I am not sure what color to call this cardigan. My first thought was wine but that is too dark, and then there was claret but that just doesn’t seem right either, so I guess I will let you come up with the name. The tag is missing from the cardigan but I bought it at the overstock store in town so it is probably by Isaac Mizrahi. It doesn’t really matter since it was the color that I bought it for and not the designer name. Ignore that the picture shows yellow below, the cardigan does come in this plum color.

50 IS NOT OLD | COUNTING DOWN THE DAYSI really dread when skinny jeans go out of style. To tell the truth, I really wasn’t a fan when I first saw them but boy they sure have grown on me. This pair is by Earl Jeans and they are very comfortable. They are not a stiff denim but instead, they are soft and stretchy. This pair is one that I will throw on during the weekends. You can just sit around, lay around, or work on the house (not that I would, but you could) in these because they are so comfortable.

50 IS NOT OLD | COUNTING DOWN THE DAYSI have a pair of go-to jeans and also my go-to shoes on today. I love this neutral pair of Aerosole wedge shoes because they will go with anything and also because they are extremely comfortable. They have a double padded memory foam foot bed which makes it easy to do a lot of walking in these. I need to be on the lookout for another pair since I have had these for a couple of years.
50 IS NOT OLD | COUNTING DOWN THE DAYSI am 57 years old. That doesn’t bother me in the least to say, in fact, I am very proud that I have been allowed to live this long and I hope one day that my grandchildren and great-grandchildren will all be coming together to celebrate my 100th birthday. After all, that is only 43 years away. Lol!

Two ladies have recently joined my Rodan + Fields team that are very business minded. One is a CPA and one is a banker. Why would they choose to join R+F? Here is a little something I found on Facebook that may explain why.

$1,000 invested in Amazon 20 years ago would be worth around $450,000 today. When Amazon was introduced, it was simply an online bookstore that was changing how books were sold and delivered to people without all the overhead of a bookstore.
Today, Amazon has completely shifted our online shopping experience and is an industry disruptor…
In 2008, Rodan+Fields, a premium skincare line pulled out of high-end retail stores like Neiman Marcus and Henri Bendel and enlisted entrepreneurs to help them make their products available to everyone regardless of whether they had access to a high-end store in their area…
2009: $10 million in sales
2010: $22 million in sales
2011: $56 million in sales
2012: $109 million in sales
2013: $196 million in sales
2014: $350 million in sales
2015: $636 million in sales
2016: $1.15 BILLION in sales
See where this is going – Rodan + Fields is another industry disruptor, but this time in the hands of consultants (entrepreneurs) like me.
Rodan + Fields is presently sold only in the US and Canada but with plans in place to launch into Australia later this year and then the Asian markets. We are just getting started!

  5. What a blessing to get to be with your family!! You look amazing considering all that is going on. I have to tell you that I have been looking all over for your Aerosoles, since I started following you. A few weeks ago I walked into Marshalls and I found them. Does that make me your stalker? Hope your week goes fast..

    1. You are “official” now, Kandi!!! Lol!

  6. Your granddaughter is just adorable! I’m with you on the skinny jeans, please stay in style for a long time! I remember the first time I wore them I was so hesitant….lol….now that’s pretty much all I wear!

I am so excited for you to see all of your family. I had the opportunity to see our kids a couple of weeks ago and I got to stay with my daughters and their hubby’s all last week, plus spend time with six wonderful grandbabies. We did volleyball games, cheer camp and soccer practice. I had to come back to reality yesterday, back at work, but Saturday my hubs and I are heading for Colorado for the week. I’m ready for the weekend too 😉
Someone sent me some R&F samples while I was gone and I have to say, it feels amazing on your skin. I LOVE that paste that you wash your face with in the morning…WOW!!! My skin feels so fresh and vibrant!!!

    1. Melesa, I love time spent with the family. It is exhausting but so much fun! I have been trying to tell you that R+F was AH-MAZING!!!

  8. Debby Lynch says:

I would call your sweater’s color magenta. Not sure if it’s the outfit, your joy at having the “owlet” with you, or the anticipation of the weekend, but you look great in these pictures. Enjoy that party; my Dad’s dad died the year before I was born, and my Mom’s mom died when I was three. I am 57, too. This morning, one of our local meteorologists said that the next solar eclipse will be in 2045. My first thought was that I won’t be alive then, but hey, I’ll “only” be 85 then, lol!

    1. Debby Lynch says:

That should be my Mom’s dad, not my Mom’s mom!

  9. Oh, my gosh! I’m SO excited for your weekend, too! Can’t wait to hear all about it! Have a wonderful day, Tania! You and Miss Emersyn look great! ?

  10. Katalin Gerstenberger says:

I love your colorful outfits and trying to be more gutsy myself! Your little granddaughter is adorable! What a weekend coming your way! Have fun!☺️

    1. Great to hear, Katalin. The more you venture outside your comfort zone the larger the zone gets. Haha!

  11. Love this outfit! Love the casual, but dressy look! Very nice!

  12. Debbie Nygard says:

So happy you are blessed with a beautiful family of young and old:) Love your outfit! Your radiance is uplifting! Enjoy that special weekend ahead:)

  13. Good morning! I have the same shoes, the Aersoles, is red. I just bought them from -you guessed it! Amazon!

  14. Debbie B. says:

From the photo the sweater color appears to be raspberry. Love this outfit, you look great! Enjoy the weekend with family.

  15. I love this outfit!!!! I love how you take things you have in your closet, mix them up, and it looks gorgeous! You look wonderful and age is just a number. My father passed at 90, but he would always say “If God is as good to you as he has been to me, you will live to…..” and he would put in his age. Words of wisdom from my dad. So glad all of you can gather for such a special occasion, enjoy!

    1. Having a great attitude it so beneficial in life. I hope that I can remember that as I get older.

  16. I felt the same way about skinny jeans…I couldn’t imagine wearing them and not I can’t imagine not wearing them. We are funny, aren’t we?

    1. It really is funny, Jodie! Lol! I have said things like, “I’ll never wear that” and then I do. Lol!

  17. Libby Sims Lancaster says:

Emersyn is just adorable!!!! You are a blessed woman, to have a grandfather still in your life and those precious grandchildren.

  18. I agree with some of the previous comments. The sweater looks like berry and your use of colour reflects the person you are and how you want to feel. You just look happy! I wear outfits much like this and just bought similar pieces last night!

  19. This outfit looks amazing on you. I have been looking for shoes like you have on since you mentioned they were so comfortable and really make your legs look longer. I have had no luck. Let me know if you find a replacement. Thanks

  20. Cristina Downey says:

Gorgeous outfit and models! Our outside I believe is a reflection of our state of mind and contentment, and you look wonderful. We all see “young” people every day that look unhappy and miserable and all about them reflects it. Sometimes I just want to say go out there and get yourself a bright sunny yellow top and perhaps it will help lift your spirits! Enjoy the anticipation of such a great time ahead!

    1. I love using color to alter my mood and attitude. It is hard to be sad when you are wearing bright colors.

  21. This is such a pretty outfit. I love the colors! Your granddaughter is getting the posing down quite well! You too are so cute together!

  22. Love this outfit. I would describe the sweater color as berry.

    1. Yes, I think you are right.

  23. Well I hope the week gets by real fast for you! What a great weekend to look forward too!

  24. Jeanne Epley says:

This is a comfy and colorful outfit, I like it. The posse definitely goes with the shirt, now this is my outfit, LOL!!
Have an awesome family weekend, and enjoy!!
