COLORS CAN AFFECT YOUR MOOD AND BRIGHTEN YOUR DAY
Even if the sun isn’t shining at your house, this post will brighten your day! I love bright colors, and they affect my mood in a good way. When I see people wearing bright clothing in a crazy print, I automatically smile at them. Have you ever given any thought to why specific colors are used in kitchens, dining rooms, hospitals, hotels, etc.? There is a whole science out there, and someone is getting paid a lot of money to make those kinds of decisions.
I may not be getting paid the BIG BUCKS, but I can tell you that specific colors are happy colors. Yellow is a happy color, but I bet you could have guessed that. Orange, red, and pink are also happy colors. Brighter and lighter colors will make you feel happier and more optimistic. Bright pink is probably my go-to happy color; what color makes you feel happy?
I’m loving this Cotton-Cashmere Crewneck Sweater. It is soft and not itchy, and that are two things I always look for when I’m buying cashmere. The amount of cashmere is very low, but it is enough to add softness and a feeling of luxury. The sweater comes in a couple of other colors, and the Skyline Blue color is perfect for Spring. This is a relaxed-fit sweater, so it runs large. I’m wearing a medium, and I think it fits great. But, if you want a closer fit, you will need to size down.
I added my usual gold jewelry to this look. I’m a creature of habit when it comes to jewelry, and I will wear the same items repeatedly. I’m wearing the Adeline Hoop Earrings, the Adeline Chain Necklace, the long necklace is, the Jack Multi-Strand Necklace that I turned backward, and the Maggie Bangle Bracelet for this outfit. I’m also wearing a silver David Yurman Cable Loop Bracelet because I like to mix my metals.
I LOVE these Distressed Straight-Leg Ankle Jeans! There are no gaping holes, just slight distressing, so these might work better for a lot of you. Besides the fit and color, I love these jeans because of the distressing of the hem on the back. I didn’t get a great photo of the distressing since I was trying to show the platform heels, but you can look at it on the website if you want a closer look. These jeans are just a little loose on me, so I also ordered the next size down, and then I’ll decide which pair I’m keeping. They run TTS; I just haven’t adjusted to my recent weight loss. I’m wearing a size 10 in these photos.
Platform shoes are trending this year, so I thought I would try a couple of pairs to see if I could find some I like. So far, I like this Kork-Ease pair, but I’m not wild about the style, so I think I’ll try a couple of other styles to see if I can find one I like better. I like the woodgrain heel and the leather color, but I don’t think this is the style I want. They do run TTS, and I’m wearing my usual size 9. Here are some others that I’m thinking about.
What are your go-to colors? Have you noticed that certain colors trigger emotions?

Love the sweater color. Too bad i cant pull off raglan sleeves. Shoes are wonderful.
I agree with Annette below.. PLEASE tell us about your weight loss success. You look fabulous. You have always look fabulous though & I never thought you could stand to lose any weight.
The jeans are no longer available, very disappointed. I also am wondering if you had ever shared your weight loss success? I would love to learn what you have been doing, you look great!!
Tania, the Jeffrey Campbell cork ones would look great on you, that is my vote!
The sweater is a beautiful color for you. You look great today just what I would pick. I would have to wear flats though.
Rory, flats would be a great option also. I styled the platforms since they are trending at the moment.
Adorable outfit on you! I would probably pair with some converse or flares of some kind for myself.
You look great! 🌷
Those options would work well with this outfit!
This definitely my kind of style. I’d probably choose a lower heeled shoe though as I’m dealing with sciatica at the moment
You look so pretty today. Happy Tuesday!
Flats and sneakers would work well for this outfit, especially since the jeans are distressed.
My happy color is orange! All shades work for me, and I like to get out various tones at different seasons. Even my kitchen is orange. Color is fascinating.
Maryjane, that is so cool! I knew a lady whose happy color was purple. She wore it every single day!
GORGEOUS! love this color and you look so happy wearing it. You look fabulous 💕
I do love this color. Isn’t it funny how it changes your attitude?
I went to DSW and tried on platform clogs yesterday. I nearly got a nosebleed from being in higher altitude, lol. The shoes were super cute, but just weten’t my style.
Lol! That made me laugh, Susan. There is a learning curve with wearing platforms, and you sure don’t want to twist an ankle!!
