COLOR BLOCKED BASEBALL TEE
I loved San Francisco and the weather was great while I was visiting. I hope to have some pictures to show you on tomorrow’s blog, so be sure to check back. I am one of those people who try to do too many things at the same time and occasionally something drops. Have you heard the phrase about walking and chewing gum at the same time? I found out the last day in San Francisco that I CAN walk and chew gum at the same time, BUT, I can’t walk and text at the same time.
Joe had texted me and asked if I was still out sight-seeing. We had just jumped off of the cable car and were getting ready to cross the street to go to Chinatown. I took a picture of the entrance and sent it to him telling him where I was. He asked me something else as the walk sign flashed for us to cross the street. I walked across the street while I was texting him back and I didn’t notice the HUGE concrete Foo Dog that was beside the archway leading into Chinatown. I stubbed my toe on the base and then fell hard on my knee on the concrete. Goodness did that hurt plus it made me nauseous for a few minutes. I am shocked that I am not black and blue from the fall, but I did learn my lesson. The irony of the situation is that I love Foo Dog statues and I have several of them at my house. I guess in the future that I will stick to chewing gum when I take a walk. Lol!
This baseball style top is one that I have had for a long time. I like the different shades of burgundy against the light gray front of the top. This is my idea of a casual top. It is a t-shirt, but the unique color blocking makes it more fashionable than a plain t-shirt. This came from Old Navy years ago, but it is not about “this” shirt, it is about looking for details in the clothing when you are shopping.
This might not have been the best choice for jewelry, but I just opened this up before I took my pictures and decided to show it to you now. The earrings and the bracelet (not the necklace) are this month’s Plunder Posse. For the past couple of months, the Posse had sold out before I even got the items and got them on the blog. I decided that was not going to happen this month because I thought this was cute. This turquoise set is perfect for those who love the boho or Southwestern style, or for those like me who love turquoise. The set is 25.00, and that includes shipping and tax. The necklace was one that I already owned, and I thought it matched well. I don’t ever get rid of anything. Lol!
Don’t even say it… Even though these fringed boots are super cute, they don’t go with the outfit. This is one of those things that most bloggers won’t show you and I probably shouldn’t either. But, the truth is that we all mess up sometimes and later we will look at what we have on and say, “what was I thinking?” As I sit here, I am thinking the same thing, and I still can’t come up with a good excuse. Lol! I have only worn these boots once before, and I didn’t like them that time either. I am not sure if it is the deep split in front or if it is the weird color of the boot that I don’t like. When I was in my utility room picking out a pair of shoes, these looked gray, but against these gray washed out jeans, they now look taupe. Oh well, no one was physically harmed in this post. Maybe I will just put these back up until I go to Nashville later this year.,I bet these boots will look cute in that setting.
The gray wash jeans are a favorite of mine! I love these jeans, and I want to wear them all the time. It is an issue because I have already styled them on the blog several times. I am wearing my normal size in these jeans even though they are a super skinny style. I will size up usually when I wear that style leg so you might have to experiment to see what size fits you best. I love the boots. That’s the first thing I noticed!
So sorry about your fall! But I’ve no idea what a Foo Dog is! I love those type tops and think they are also flattering. And the jewelry dresses up the outfit! Grey boots are hard to find and hard to match w pants!

I don’t think that the jeans are the issue. I think that it is the color of the jeans that was the issue. I will wear them with a blue pair next time.
Your gray converse would have looked better. Don’t like these boots at all. Not being critical, just honest. Other wise it’s a cute outfit.
The gray converse was what I thought would look best too. BUT, I had just worn those the day before and I was trying to wear something different. That is what I get for not going with my gut instinct.
So the Foo dog is not a statue for protection. Ouch!! You poor thing. The boots aren’t that bad. Ya win some ya loose some. Love those jeans.

San Francisco has now been added to my ever lengthening list of places to visit. In April we are taking our 1st organised tour. We fly to Atlanta and then go on to visit Memphis, Nashville, Savannah, New Orleans and a few other places. I may need you to let me know what clothes to pack for the time of year. Glad you have arrived home safely – I wonder where your next visit will be?
Sorry to hear about your close encounter with a Foo Dog – glad it wasn’t worst – had to laugh about your boot comments I’ve got some shoes that every time I put them on they just don’t work, don’t know how that’s possible but they don’t go with anything. Looking forward to your San Francisco photos
