CLASSIC BLACK AND WHITE FOR SUMMER

I am off to Kentucky today, along with my Energizer Bunny Friend and her daughter. This is going to be a lot of fun, and I can’t wait to see what kind of craziness the Miss “E” does on the trip. I am positive that there will be some story that comes from this trip that I will be able to tell you gurls next week.
I am on cloud nine today because last night I got to talk to my daughter for 30 minutes on ZOOM. ZOOM is a free app that anyone can download on their device (computer, cell phone, or tablet) and you can “see” the person you are talking to, as well as hear them. So, I got to see her beautiful face and hear all about her adventure of working on a commercial fishing boat. She is not going back on the boat until next Wednesday, so I should get to see and talk to her several more times. I even let her cat talk to her by ZOOM. Lol! You could tell that she missed her cat, probably more than me. She complained that her cat was a traitor because he has taken up with me. Haha! We sound alike, and probably even smell similar, so it didn’t take long for me to win him over. Plus, a cat is just like a man. The way to his heart is through his stomach. Lol! He meets me every morning, waiting on his food that he loves. Hahaha!
This is a simple, yet elegant look. The top is by Du Jour, and it features a lace inset on the bodice and sleeve, raglan bell sleeves, elastic bateau neckline, and a lined bodice. I chose to wear as an off the shoulder look, but on the website, they only show wearing it as a bateau look. This is a crinkle gauze material which is 100% rayon. The bad thing about anything black is that it doesn’t photograph well. It is machine wash, lay flat to dry, and I am wearing a size medium. Here is the link to the top.
Look how cute the Nonie tin earrings are! I love the floral print, and how the earrings are edged in gold. These have a 3.25″ drop, which is the perfect size for me. The only bracelet that I have on is the Nevada. This two-strand bracelet has cream & white beads with gold accents and a white tassel. It is 6.75″ on an elastic cord.
My black leather Tory Burch flip flops are a pair that I bought for my trip to Cancun last year. I had earned another 1,000.00 shopping spree, and these shoes were one of my purchases. I don’t wear them often, because they don’t have much cushioning in the sole, but I do wear them when I am not going to be doing a ton of walking. This is probably the older version because the ones that I find on the websites now are a tiny bit different in the style.

A good pair of white Bermuda shorts are a summer classic. I put these in the same category as the white linen pants that I wore on the blog Wednesday. They are a summer must-have! I wear my Bermuda shorts a lot, so I bought a good pair. I know they are white, and that white gets dirty easy. But, because they are white I can bleach them and they stay fairly clean. All the ones below are on sale, so hopefully, you will find a pair perfect for you.

I am off to Kentucky. It will be a beautiful drive but a lot of curvy roads. Lol! The event I am going to is for my business partner who was a blog reader and then a customer of mine. She decided to join me in business 3 months ago, and this morning I was thrilled to see that she was recognized at the #3 consultant on a team of around 600! THREE MONTHS!!! The great thing about this lady…she was a skeptic. She hesitated for almost a year before she tried the products, and then she hesitated for months about joining the business. Now, she LOVES it almost as much as I do. Lol! I am thrilled for her and I can’t wait to meet her in person. I will be posting pictures on Instagram, so be sure to check out my stories.
