When I get dressed, looking put-together is always my goal. Now I’m upping the ante, and I’m striving to look Chic instead. Looking chic means being elegantly and stylishly fashionable. I’ve put together five outfits for you today using chic clothing for fall from Kohl’s.

Casual Chic Style

This first look is what I’m calling Casual Chic Style. A lot of time, I think looking Chic means I need to be dressed up; however, you can still look Chic in casual clothing. This casual outfit is sporty and put-together. I love the deep rich chocolate color and the trouser jeans. This outfit is one that I would wear to run errands, go to lunch, go shopping, etc.

  1. A couple weeks ago you styled some gray wide leg jeans from Walmart. You styled them with boots and I loved that look! Can you tell me how high the shaft is on those boots and is there another type shoe I could wear until it’s cold enough for boots?

    1. Angie, those wide-leg jeans are barely covering the boots. In fact, if you look closely at the photo where I am walking away from the camera, you can see the jean is inside one of the boots. I’ve also worn the jeans with mules and loafers, and they look great.

  2. Love these outfits. Great style!

  3. Why are you not wearing the styles you choose?

  4. The casual chic and cozy chic are the two looks for me. For my lifestyle and semi-retired life they both work. Loved this post!

  5. Jodi Riddle says:

I much prefer your posts where you are wearing the outfits. It helps greatly to actually see the outfit on a real, fiftysome woman.

  6. Very nice outfits, but would much rather see you wearing the pieces. That is the only true way to judge the fit and combination of pieces. I look forward to your daily blog and seeing you as the model 😊

  7. Christine Curtis says:

I do love your choices of outfits. I prefer it when you try on and show the clothing because it is more realistic than some model. You have more personality.

    1. Lol! I understand, Christine. But, you have to realize that this was around 1500.00 in clothing, and I have to order it, steam it, style it, take photos, edit the photos, write the post, and link to everything. There are times when I just don’t have the capacity to do that for every post. This shows you my choices, how I would put them together, and why.
