50 IS NOT OLD | CELEBRATING 100 YEARS The trip to Tennessee was LONG. Joe was soooo disappointed because he thought he was going to get to fly his airplane and the trip would have only taken an hour instead of 5 hours. However, the weather was not very cooperative and it wouldn’t clear up long enough for us to fly. Awwwww, I hated that so much. Lol!50 IS NOT OLD | CELEBRATING 100 YEARS The really bad thing about the weather moving in is that it has really done a number on me. I am so tight and tense and I have a headache that won’t go away. But, because I am dedicated I am still doing a post. I won’t swear that it will be the best post that I have ever done but it will be a post. Haha! 50 IS NOT OLD | CELEBRATING 100 YEARS This picture was taken earlier this spring but I never got around to putting it on the blog. When I made it to Livingston I didn’t bring in my camera to get the newest photos off of it but this set was still on my computer. I mean, I have been saving this unique set of photos for just the right time. I have on the Addison earrings which have a 3″ drop and have a filigree design. The necklace was one that has already been discontinued. I have had a few people ask about my lashes. You know that they are long because of Lash Boost but I thought you might want to know that the mascara I use is HUGE by Stila. You can find it on Amazon or Ulta50 IS NOT OLD | CELEBRATING 100 YEARS This dress came from Cato Fashion’s but it is no longer in stock. I really love the colors and the pattern of the dress BUT I was really worried about the style of the dress. My stomach region is my largest area so I was afraid that the tight fit would really let that show. However, I was pleasantly surprised that the dress actually looked decent. 50 IS NOT OLD | CELEBRATING 100 YEARS I know this is a short post but as I said, I don’t feel that great. The good thing is that the weather is supposed to be cleared out by tonight and be good for the rest of the time that we are here. Tomorrow is the party for my grandfather who is turning 100 years old and I sure hope to feel better by then. Pa’s actual birthday is on Sunday but because I usually travel home on Sunday the party was planned to be held on Saturday. Who knew that an eclipse was going to coincide with the party and that I would be staying until Tuesday? I hope to have pictures for you all to see on the blog Monday so be sure to check back then. You won’t believe Pa is 100 because he doesn’t look a day over 80.

  4. Oh I do hope you feel better soon, Tania! I know what it’s like to have a miserable headache and feel yucky and I wouldn’t wish that on anyone. That is so awesome that your Pa is turning 100!!! Give him a big “Happy Birthday” greeting from me! Thank you for letting me know what mascara you wear. Now that I have long lashes from using the R+F serum, I’m trying out different mascaras to show them off. ha Some of my lashes are so long they practically touch my eyebrows!! Isn’t that just too funny? Hope the headache leaves you and have a wonderful time celebrating with your family!!!

  5. Headaches can be so draining. Hope you better soon. I love this dress and it looks so great on you. The shape of the dress would be so forgiving of anyone’s shape. Love your blog glad I found you on pinterest. I love that so many 50+ woman are dressing so stylishly and aren’t afraid to look their best. I’m 67 and shop with my 35 year old daughter and she is my biggest cheerleader for dressing “young”. Some of her friends have asked me to shop with their moms so can dress like me! Such a compliment. Have a great time at the birthday party for your grandfather

Thanks for the tip on the lashes, Tania! As I get older my eyes seem to get smaller and I need all the help I can get!

I would enjoy your post much more if your OOTD were recent enough to purchase as your jewelry is.

My husband grandmother lived to be 105. She died just two years ago. She had nine children and more grandchildren than anyone I know.
