CASUAL SATURDAY WITH A NEW PAIR OF JEANS

Good morning everyone, it’s Saturday, and it’s going to be a great day. This morning I went outside to take Lucy out to use the bathroom. The sun hadn’t come up yet, but it was still daylight, and you could see reasonably well, even without a flashlight. I was sitting there enjoying the quietness and listening to all the birds chirping.

Lucy was only standing a couple of feet away from me, and all at once, I heard a rustling sound. I wasn’t sure what it was, but an animal of some sort came flying at a rapid rate of speed. It saw me and changed directions extremely fast. At first, I thought it was a squirrel; it was moving so fast I couldn’t even see it well. I finally figured out it must have been a bird, but it was so low to the ground that it confused me.

When I went inside, I told Joe about what had happened. He asked me if it flew over the top of Lucy, and I said yes. He thinks it was probably a hawk or an owl trying to grab Lucy. So now we have a new rule, no taking Lucy outside unless the sun is up and I am close by. I would put her on a leash, but she is afraid of those. My daughter is going to see if she can get her leash trained. It sure was scary!

Let’s talk about this gorgeous floral print peasant blouse. I love the deep V-neck; it is my favorite neckline because it elongates your neck. I like the Flowey fit and the billowed sleeves of this top; I think it is gorgeous for everyday wear. The blouse comes in several different designs, but I wanted to try the navy and white print, and I love it. The top runs true to size; I am wearing a size medium, which fits me great.

Here is the back view of the top with the jeans. I did a half tuck in the front, and I think the top might be slightly longer than what it shows in the photo, just because it is pulled up a little bit with the tuck.

I can’t help but gush over this Brahmin Handbag. I have handbags that cost way more than this, but I don’t know that I like them any better. This looks and feels so luxurious, but I can carry it with jeans, and it looks fabulous. This is an investment piece, but it’s one that I will be able to carry for years and years.

Let’s talk about these high waist ankle jeans! I’m a huge fan of these jeans. These jeans don’t have a lot of stretch; they only have 1% spandex. I think these jeans run small, but it could be from the lack of spandex. You can’t see, but I don’t have these jeans buttoned. They fit well through the legs and hips but are way too tight through the waist. I am between a size 28 – 30, and I ordered a 29 in these jeans. They are going back, but I already have a size 30 in my cart coming my way; I just love the look of these jeans. They are on sale for less than $30, so if your size is available, you might want to grab them. Just remember, if you’re between sizes, size up. 

I added my Tory Burch flats and a brown belt to my outfit. I know many of you have been asking for more flat shoes, so I am searching this weekend to see if I can get some on order.
