CASUAL EVERYDAY OUTFIT

The weekend is here, and I couldn’t be happier! I have nothing to do, and I have no plans at all. Isn’t it great when you have no schedule to be on and no one pushing you to get something done? The only thing that I wish I had was a big fire built in the fireplace so that I could curl up with a blanket on the couch and read or watch HGTV. The little gentleman that I bought firewood from has had health issues, so I don’t have any wood to burn except for some that are probably waterlogged from sitting outside. You should see how Joe tried to light the fire the last time our wood was waterlogged. If you are on FaceBook, go here to watch. Lol! I think that my cleaning mood has rubbed off on Joe. He has been going through old papers and getting rid of them at his office. So far he has been wearing all of his clothing while he has been doing this, but I have warned all of the employees to knock before going into his office. Lol! Joe found some old papers where my son, Joseph, had taken a test back in 2001 or 2002. The good news is that he scored 98 on the test. The funny thing is that his teachers must have had a sense of humor because where he was supposed to fill in the date…he wrote, “Who Cares.” ? I am shocked that he didn’t get in trouble, but I guess they were used to kids being kids. Lol! Any of you who are teachers, or are retired from teaching, my hat goes off to you. I can’t imagine having a whole classroom of Joseph’s. He was cute as a button, mischevious, a charmer, and couldn’t care less about school work. How teachers manage to shape those little minds and not lose their minds is beyond me. Did you see yesterday’s post? If not, then go back and look at it because this is the second part of the look. Today, I took the same cardigan or duster and made the outfit into a casual everyday look. I added a mustard-colored tank top to the look which picks up on the tiny bit of yellow in the cardigan. This is a top that you will see me wear a lot. I wore this on a post last week (here) with a denim jacket. This color is perfect for the fall and winter, but it still looks great in the spring and summer. I love clothing items that are versatile.

I didn’t change my earrings since I thought that they went well with my dress and also my jeans. I did change my bracelets though and added these large bangles that were a “special” purchase a month or two ago. I am hoping that these bracelets get added to the new spring and summer catalog for Plunder Designs which should be coming out sometime in April. I am a sucker for the tortoiseshell look, and I like the octagon shape of the bangles. The cardigan that I have on is made of that slinky material so even though it wasn’t really cold on this day, I was still chilly. Instead of adding a pair of blue denim jeans to the look, I added a pair of wine colored ones. I like wearing the maroon/wine/claret or whatever you want to call them in the fall and winter. This is one of my favorite colors for the fall, and I pair it with mustard, navy, or gray most of the time. Those are my “go-to” combinations just in case you are taking notes. Lol! I am pretty sure that I was wearing my NYDJ Ami jeans on that day, but I will link to a few others that you can choose from.

Emersyn joined me for this “one” photo and then she was off playing in the yard. I might have been chilly, but she was fine. You can see that she is already all set for Valentine’s Day with her cute shirt with hearts.
