CAN YOU WEAR SHORT SLEEVES IN THE WINTER
Hello, everyone! It is hump day, the middle of the week and only a couple more days until the weekend. Are you one of those people who really look forward to the weekend or is it just another day of the week to you? I like the weekends because I can play on the internet. Since I started blogging, I don’t have as much time to “play” on Pinterest, FaceBook, or to even look at other blogs. So on Saturday and Sunday, I will do a little surfing and just sit back and veg. That reminds me of the movie Pretty Woman.
You can see from the picture that it was a little windy here. It grabbed my dress and was blowing my hair everywhere. I should have tried to get a Marilyn Monroe type picture. Now, that would have been funny! White legs shining worse than they already are. This is one of the things I hate about the winter months, pasty white skin. I know I could still use my faux tanning lotion in the winter but it seems like such a waste of time. I am usually in leggings or pants and my legs don’t show. Today I put on a pair of leggings with this outfit and I just wasn’t liking the look, so put your sunglasses on and keep reading.
Whoops, it looks like I forgot earrings. I am terrible about that. I have a friend who won’t leave home without hers on, but I forget quite often. Let’s talk about this shirt first. It is a light gray and white cheek button-up shirt from Old Navy. I liked it because the colors were so soft. I wore this shirt last year and I had a small mishap. Read the post and see what I did. Lol! One of these shirts is 25.00 and one is 725.00! Guess which one is which. I love doing this, it amuses me 🙂
My necklaces almost get lost in the pattern of the dress. It is quite a busy pattern. The short necklace is the Tabitha (can also be worn long) and I have added a “T” pendant called Jody. The longer gray necklace is c/o Kay & Star. They are a wonderful mother and daughter company who sell their jewelry on Etsy. I love buying from small companies who really appreciate your business. Be sure to check out their Etsy store.
My bracelets are two Alexi and Ani and one Plunder. The one with the vintage style keys and a tassel is called Candace. It is not one I have worn before on the blog (I think) because it has colors that are more spring-like. The yellow and mint green keys and the pale pink tassel will look great later in the year.
These are tow of my bangles that I wear ALL the time. I picked out the ones that had the purple colors to wear. The Bobby and the Odette.
I have worn these boots and worn these boots since I got them c/o White Mountain Shoes. They are super comfortable, go on easily, and I just love this soft gray color. I am really into soft gray evidently. These are genuine suede and the supplier calls the color stone. I like soft gray better. Lol!
Now for this super cute swing dress. It is a LuLaRoe dress and I think this one is the Carly. I love, love, love the print and the colors in this dress. I wanted to wear the bright color to brighten my mood but it was short sleeve. Instead of wearing a long sleeve white button down or a turtleneck, I thought I would do some pattern mixing. I confess that pattern mixing is not really my cup of tea, but what the heck. Right? The gray in the shirt, plus the check pattern of the shirt, go with the colors and pattern in the dress. I ended up liking the final result. I probably would have liked a white shirt better but every once in a while you need to shake things up just a bit. I do not sell LuLaRoe so feel free to comment your website if you do.
Veggie time is over and it is time to get back to work. In case you forgot, here is the quote from Pretty Woman:
Vivian: Let’s watch old movies all night… we’ll just veg out in front of the TV.
Edward Lewis: Veg out?
Vivian: Yeah. Be still like vegetables. Lay like broccoli.
Edward Lewis: Look, I’ll tell ya what. I’ll be back. We’ll do broccoli tomorrow.
I hope you are enjoying my little blog. I know I can’t make everybody happy but I try. I hope if you’re happy and you know it you will clap your hand. Lol!

Love the collared blouse in the earlier post with black jeans! There are very few collared blouses out there right now but they are classic!
Hi Tania………….I had to go through My Internet to get Your Post today…………My E-Mail is all messed up & until I get it straight, I will just have to go this route………Love Your Site & See Ya & talk with You soon…………Love the outfit!!
Tania – Love the colour, pattern, and soft gray, I so need colour for my mood! Solid darks now depress me although I could wear them before. I also need soft – I am close to dressing in cotton balls! The only thing is we need some kind of hose in Canada in the winter or we will die of frostbite in minus a billion degree weather, I’m envious (actually jealous) of your weather!
Loving this look and the colour!!!
xx Yvonne
