Brand to Try: Spartina 449
I love introducing new brands to you, gurls!! Today’s brand I’m sharing is one I love, but it had kind of fallen off my radar. I guarantee you’ve also probably seen the brand in a boutique before without even realizing it. Known for its signature “Greetings From” line and handbags, Spartina 449 now offers so much more, including clothing, jewelry, gifts, and more. As I was browsing their website, I saw so many cute things that caught my eye, and I had to share them!

About the Brand
Spartina 449’s story began in 2009 with founder Kay Stanley and her love for the coastal beauty of Daufuskie Island, SC. Kay was inspired by her home, which is a small island not far from Hilton Head, and she started crafting a line of handbags. You can read more about their story here.
Almost 15 years later, their brand has evolved into so much more than a collection of handbags! They sell sooo many cute things, and I’m sharing some of my favorite Spartina 449 items below.
What Caught My Eye from Spartina 449
My first encounter with Spartina 449 was a Christmas present from my sister-in-law. She bought me an iPad cover, and I loved it. A few years later, she bought me the Paris Square Scarf, which I keep tied on my handbag. Whenever I try on clothing in a store, I’ll use the scarf to keep me from getting makeup on the clothing as I pull it over my head.
I’ve been a fan ever since, and when I saw the Palm Tree Tote, I decided to place an order. I’ve been wearing a lot of olive(ish) colors lately, and I love the palm tree design and the gorgeous tassels. Now I need to order a pretty coral top to wear with it.
Purses and Handbags
Spartina 449’s “Greetings From” line allows you to carry a piece of your favorite locations with you wherever you go. Each item captures the unique charm and character of these places through vibrant colors and thoughtful details on various items like totes, beach towels, wallets, etc. I thought they only featured coastal destinations until I looked on their website and found a few non-beachy places like Kentucky and the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Gurls, how cute is this pineapple tote?! From the wicker handle to the beautiful embroidered details, I’m obsessed. It has a removable and adjustable leather strap so you can carry it as a shoulder bag or crossbody, or you can just use it as a top-handle handbag. This is a smaller, similar tote to the one I’m carrying above.
Here’s another adorable bag from Spartina 449. This one has a sweet little coral print on it with a fun little tassle. I love the fun colors, but I feel like it still has a neutral vibe since it has a white background and a pale trim color which means you can wear it with all kinds of outfits!
Jewelry
Moving onto jewelry, Spartina 449 has a great selection of pieces! Seriously, gurls… there are hundreds and hundreds of different pieces available to choose from! The large majority of their pieces are gold, like this necklace, but they do have some silver options as well.
The Flower Earrings remind me of the Layne Statement Earrings I’ve been wearing a lot lately. They aren’t quite as durable, but they are a lot more affordable. Plus, they still give off the same vibe.
Hoops are my favorite kind of earrings! These lightweight hoop earrings add a subtle pop of color, and they’re pretty affordable at under $50. If you don’t love hoops, check out these stud earrings instead.
Spartina 449 carries a lot of these “stretch” bracelets, which are perfect for layering and stacking to create a custom combination. This one is a gorgeous sea foam color, and it would look stunning paired with the matching necklace.
Clothing
Their clothing is a little pricier than some other brands we share here, but not unreasonable for quality clothing. I would probably compare them to Chico’s or Lilly Pulitzer’s pricing. They have a lot of great dress options, like this sleeveless midi dress.
If you’ve been a reader of my blog for very long, you know I love wearing denim jackets over sundresses and blouses, even in the summer! I thought this was a fun take on a denim jacket for summer with it’s cropped shape, zipper front, and fringe details.
With the arrival of summer, it’s time to refresh your swimsuit and cover-up collection. They have a few different cover-ups available, but I loved this pretty red and pink pullover style one. It has a drawstring that you can cinch to give yourself a flattering shape at the waist, or you can leave it loose and open.
Accessories
If you’re looking for a gift for a friend or family member, the accessories section at Spartina 449 is where you need to go! They have all kinds of gift-able items such as keychains, tumblers, beach blankets, etc.
I feel like most women our age have accumulated an entire collection of beach towels, LOL! I’ve had all kinds of beach towels over the years, but I prefer plush, oversized ones like this Sea Turtle one. They also have beach blankets, which are perfect for a picnic by the water.
I know some of my readers are avid golfers, so I couldn’t not mention their golf items! From beautiful golf bags and club covers to cutesy ball markers, this brand will have you hitting the course in style. They also have gear for my tennis and pickleball loving gurls, as well as some athletic apparel!

LOVE LOVE LOVE Spartina! I have quite a few of their bags and a bracelet that is on my wrist most days because it goes with absolutely everything! Stacks wonderfully with my eNewton bracelets and has lasted for YEARS…I recently came across another one exactly like it and bought it as “backup” for whenever this one bites the dust lol!
I have “backups” for a lot of things for that reason. Lol!

Love Spartina handbags!!! They are a bit pricey but great quality and totally adorable. perfect for beach vacations and summer. The jewelry is beautiful also. There are some boutiques that canrry the line near my beach house in Ocean City MD and the Delaware beaches. I recently bought some things in a Spartina store in Greenville South Carolina. highly recommend!!!!

Buy a clear plastic container for your eggs. Place eggs from carton into plastic storage container. That should cure him!
We have a coastal vacation home in Beaufort SC and I LOVE Spartina! I have a few of their things but my favorite is the golf bag my husband bought me for Christmas a few years ago. It’s durable but sooo pretty. I get so many compliments on it when I play!

The first time I saw the
cracked egg in the carton I could not believe it!! What a mess in the carton. My now exhusband did this our entire marriage. I fixed the issue by finding an egg shelf and removed the eggs from the carton. I found it on Amazon and it has two shelves and the eggs roll towards the front as you use one.
“Eggshells can have salmonella inside, both in the egg itself and on the outer shell,” explained Baum. “Putting the cracked, empty shells back in the carton increases the risk of contaminating the remaining eggs.” Kimberly Baker, Ph. I have the large Blue Ridge Mountains tote and get compliments every time I carry it. I grew up near Asheville and have been to most of the places shown on the bag. Lots of nostalgia for me. It is a great quality bag too.
So glad to see you share this brand! Same as you, I had a few accessories from them but I had no idea of all they had until a girlfriends’ trip to Savannah, GA. They have a wonderful store there. The quality of their clothing is great. I now have several dresses and a poncho that I love. Beautiful selection of clothing, jewelry, and bags!
Each of their pieces are so unique and special.
I also crack onto a paper towel and then throw out. Sounds like a bad habit that could spread germs onto the unused eggs or other items in the fridge. Fine if the container is then being thrown away but back into the fridge. No thanks

Always liked looking at Spartina when traveling or at cute boutiques at home. Was lucky enough to find a beautiful light and dark pink Spartina bag at TJ Maxx this year. My husband has these VERY bright spot lights, not landscaping lights, shining in our bedroom window and refuses to change them for me. I am a “need a dark room to sleep in” kind of girl and always have been! So I can relate to the not changing thing by the husband! I have never seen the egg thing before but I don’t have to worry about that with my husband because he does not cook! Ha! Good Luck!

Love this brand…I shopped at one of their stores while on a girls trip to Savannah a few years ago…I didn’t end up with anything for myself but bought my dog Madison the cutest collar! I will check them out on line…thanks for featuring them.

I love Spartina. I have had a few handbags and wallets over the years. A few years ago, Belk and Dillard’s department stores in SC, also carried their line. Not any more. I guess Spartina has grown enough to be only in their own stores. There’s a great one in Myrtle Beach, SC. and at the Opryland resort in Nashville, Tn.
Yes, I’ve been in several of their stores over the years, and their items are so beautiful and unique.
Take your eggs out of the carton and put them in a container all together. I doubt if he would put the shells back in that container.
