Lately, I’ve been seeing bohemian dresses everywhere! With their flowy fabrics, earthy tones, and easygoing shapes, these dresses are all about comfort and effortless style. Pair them with strappy sandals, ankle boots, or even a floppy hat to complete your look. Today I’m sharing a gorgeous collection of bohemian dresses for women that’ll take you from the grandkid’s musical to the farmer’s market in one twirl.

If you’re looking for a stylish boho dress for women over 50 that adds a pop of color to your wardrobe, this fuchsia maxi dress is a winner. It’s bright, cheerful, and oh-so-comfortable, perfect for everything from brunch to a casual outdoor event.

ANRABESS Women’s Summer Loose Maxi Dress

This dress is the definition of easy-breezy beauty. The wrap V-neck and flowy slit design add a hint of drama while still keeping things modest and comfy. The floral print gives it those boho vibes, and it works perfectly with a cute pair of wedges or sandals. Wear it for a casual day or a beachside dinner—it’s just that versatile. Bonus: it comes in so many pretty colors you’ll want to add more than one to your cart.

Free People Printed Smocked Waist Maxi Dress

This boho dress is made from 100 percent cotton, so it’s lightweight and breathable for those warmer days. The smocked waist gives you shape without being clingy, and the side-seam pockets are a nice touch for stashing lip balm or your phone. This one’s perfect for weekend brunches, summer strolls, or even dressing up for a special event. Throw on a denim jacket if it gets chilly, and you’re good to go.

Wishlist Short Sleeve Crochet Dress

Crochet is a classic in the bohemian style world, and this dress delivers. It’s got a vintage feel with modern comfort. The crochet detail at the neckline and waist gives it a delicate texture, and the sienna color is so flattering on all skin tones. It’s a cute pick for casual outings or dressing up for a baby shower or brunch date. Other brighter colors at the link!

Wishlist Ruched Maxi Dress

I love a good maxi dress, and this one brings the drama with its bold print and side ruching. It’s the kind of piece that moves with you. It’s perfect for vacations, casual day plans, or even dancing the night away. Pair with chunky strappy sandals and a statement necklace to amp up the boho glam.

Wishlist Flutter Sleeve Maxi Dress

This one has all the twirl you could want. The flutter sleeves and tiered silhouette give it that soft, romantic feel. It’s made from rayon, so it’s light enough for hot days but still has beautiful movement. Perfect with a fringed bag and sandals for a casual summer outing. Also available in a soft red.

SHEWIN Women’s Boho Floral Maxi Dress

This is one of those women’s boho dresses you can wear from day to night. The high waist and deep V-neck are flattering on so many body types. It’s loose, comfy, and the floral pattern screams boho charm. You’ll be reaching for this one for everything from picnics to graduation ceremonies. Walmart is always affordable, too! I wore this to a fancy dinner in Atlanta, and it looked fabulous!

ZESICA Boho Long Sleeve Smocked Maxi Dress

A smocked waist, lace trim, and flowing sleeves—what more could a Gurl want? This one is as cute as it is comfy, with a bohemian silhouette that looks great with ankle boots or simple sandals. I love the square neckline and the earthy tone, but of course it’s available in many others. Add in a crossbody bag and a wide-brim hat, and you’ve got a perfect boho outfit.

Old Navy Sleeveless Tie-Front Midi Dress

Here’s a sweet, simple option that’s begging to be worn to the beach or a casual summer outing. The elasticized waist and shirred seams make it flattering without being tight. The high tie-front neckline is a fun twist on the traditional boho look, and you can layer it easily with your favorite accessories.

Silky Maxi Dress from Talbots

This silky number is an elegant take on the boho dress trend. The spaghetti straps, deep v-neck, and relaxed shape make it perfect for everything from dinner dates to family get-togethers. The olive color is dreamy, but it also comes in other shades if you want to add more to your wardrobe. Don’t forget the gift cards for your besties—this would make a lovely present.

Bohemian Dresses for Women

Whether you’re building a full collection of boho dresses or just looking to add one or two dreamy pieces to your closet, these picks are perfect for embracing your inner flower child. Bohemian style is all about freedom, comfort, and self-expression—so have fun with it, Gurl! Grab a denim jacket, toss on your favorite necklaces, and head into spring and summer with confidence and style. Add one of these beauties to your cart, and get ready to float through the season in style.

  1. I looked. I’m over 50.
Why do the majority of these dresses have a neckline cut down to my navel ??
I would wear it if I was a lot younger.

    1. Lol! It is actually hard to find v-necklines since so much are now crewnecks.

  2. Me too. Why does everything have to have a plunging neckline???

  3. K.R.Martin says:

While I love the idea of how easy it is to throw on a pretty, flowing dress, it isn’t quite so simple when you have to wear a camisole (and find one which is color coordinated!) to be able to be decent enough to go out in public! Some of these look like they should remain in the bedroom!

  4. Helen Dehner says:

I am 83, love fashion and all things boho! The huge issue with each of these lovely frocks ~ I will have to shorten them, even though I am 5′ 5″.

  5. So glad boho is popular again, I’ve always loved it, but why so many plunging necklines this time around? I get tired of double layering t-shirts and camisoles everytime I want to wear a girly dress!

    1. Cheryl King says:

I totally agree. I am a breast cancer survivor after a right breast mastectomy and my surgical scar will definitely show. I especially love the green dress. Please think of women like me. Thanks.

  6. susan elliott says:

Cute dresses but I can’t do long dresses. I am too short. 😊

  14. Found it! There are a lot of tier maxi dresses out there and I feel like they don’t look the best on my shorter height.

  15. 🙂 I am a non-dress person! Though these are all very pretty.

  32. 🙂 This is not my style, I like a more tailor look. I think its too much material, other people look so good in this style.

  47. 🙂 The one from Wal-Mart had about 4 different patterns I wanted. HA. On a TOTALLY different note: THANK YOU for saying “had dinner with Joe and me.” I just wish everyone would stop trying to use “Joe and I” for everything. It’s so refreshing when people use “me” correctly. Yes, sometimes “me” is right!! My English teacher was a gem. :))))))

    1. Lol! I had to think about what to say. I was taught to drop the name before yours, and see how it would sound. So, it would have been they “had dinner with me.”

  48. 🙂 Love Bohemian style dresses! I just have to be careful about picking one with too much fabric because I am petite and sometimes get swallowed up by too much fabric.

  49. I’ve admired the look of flowy casual summer dresses for a while. I have shied away from them because of my height/weight. The pink dress is so pretty – this may be the year I try one! 🙂
    Thank you.

  50. 🙂 I love this look on the models and other people, but it is not in my comfort zone. I need to get outside my comfort zone a bit more often. LOL

  66. 🙂 found it! I love the floaty dresses, but a maxi overwhelms my 5′ 3 1/2″ so I usually have to hem /shorten them to a midi range. Love these ideas for inspiration. Have a blessed week!

    🙂 Cute choices.

  68. 😊 Love these dresses.

  69. Found it 🙂 I enjoy the bohemian look.

  70. Deborah H says:

🙂 . Enlightening post on dresses. I always thought I couldn’t wear a floral print maxi dress, but those rules are outdated. I love wearing looser dresses in the summer as they are more comfortable in the heat.

    1. You’ll love tomorrow’s post, then.

  71. 😀 There are some cute choices there.

    🙂 lots of cute dresses

  83. I love dresses in warm weather! I prefer a V neck, but so many of these are too low for me though.

  84. Elizabeth Tobin says:

😊Lots of pretty dresses! I’m petite and slender, so this style of dress often looks like I’m swimming in too much material or overwhelmed by a large print. A tailored, classic dress tends to work better for me.

  85. 🙂 Cute, especially the fushia.

  86. 😀I need more dresses. Thanks

  87. 🙂 I didn’t realize maxi dresses are popular. Really like the dresses.

    1. Patti McDonald says:

😀 The bohemian dresses are soooo comfortable. I got hooked last year. My mistake was getting the loose style (no defined waist) which can be fine, but I’m 5’1 and chesty so there is a bit of a maternity look. I plan on putting darts in the back for a bit of definition. Cross your fingers it works.

      1. Patti, be sure to check out tomorrow’s post.

    2. Susan Lindsay says:

😊 very pretty but being petite I have to pass on the long versions.

  88. 🙂 Beautiful dresses! I am a dress girl too!

  89. Stephanie Bland says:

    😄
The dresses are beautiful. Always feel overpowered by bohemian dresses because of my height.

  90. Dresses make it easy!

  91. 😊 Although I am not a dress person, these dresses are lovely.

  92. Kathleen S says:

😀they all are stunning, I cannot pick a favorite!

  93. monique dickerson says:

🙂 Love the boho look. I struggle with feeling like I look good and not like an old chick trying to look young
