BLANKET SCARF STYLE
The weather had turned cool, bordering on flat out cold. My daughter would laugh at me, since she lives in Alaska. My 51 degree weather would be “shorts” weather to her. Lol! This is the same child who used to freeze all the time. We kept the heated seats on in the car almost year round. She would go through the house turning up the heat constantly. She still messes with my thermostat, she is now turning it down. Shew!
I was tickled that I could style my new blanket scarf I bought the other day. These things have really gone down in price, I think I only paid 12.00 for this one. The colors are really nice, there is green, blue, burgundy, yellow, and white. There might even be a few more colors that I can’t see. This is super soft, which I want if it is going to be up around my face.
I have on a deep teal blue silky t-shirt, which you cannot even see. Lol! But take my word for it, it matched perfectly to the scarf. I was a little chilly in the short sleeves, so I added the Old Navy blue jean jacket. Everyone needs a jean jacket, it is a staple for fall, winter, and spring.
I did a video on how to the a blanket scarf, several ways, but I can’t locate it on the computer or my phone. I just love technology 🙁 So, it looks like I will be re-filming that video this weekend. I am going out of town for a few days next week, and I plan on uploading videos that I have filmed, so that I am not pressured to have a blog post. I hate flying, so everyone needs to say a little prayer for me next Thursday. I am sure you will soon be sick of hearing about my trip, because I will be posting to Instagram and Twitter, and maybe other places. Be sure to like me on those social medias, so you can follow along with me. I may use the hashtag #50invegas
I hate that the camera used the flash, it caused an ugly shadow. You might recognize my shoes from yesterday’s post. I love these (c/o) booties, they are perfect for fall. I really like the style of these shoes, and the color is spot on for the fall. I think they call them taupe, but in these pictures they look gray. They are a true taupe color, more toward the brown side, than gray.
My wine/berry skinny jeans are several years old, but they still fit and I love the color. They are a pair I will wear a lot this fall and winter. These pants are by Earl Jeans, and I am sure I bought them from TJ Maxx.
The only thing left to talk about is my slouch purse. You are not going to like what I am going to tell you. I bought this G.I.L.I. leather purse for $25.00. Similar, Similar Anytime you gurls want to get up a trip to Grundy to go shopping with me, just let me know. Lol!!!
Did you see my cute little amethyst bracelet. My BFF, Sandy, gave this to me in church the other day. It says, “Just Breathe.” She knows how bad I am to smother over things, like flying. Lol! It is crazy to stress over flying, it is not like I can change anything that is going to happen, I have “NO” control. Oh yeah, that’s the problem, I am a control freak. I just remembered. Hahaha
One more thing! My sister created a testimonial video for her local Toastmasters club. Could you take a second to “like” it on Facebook? You can find it here.
