BLACK AND BLUE

Several of you thought the ticket story on yesterday’s post was funny. Someone even messaged me that Joe and I can’t go out of town without getting tickets and that seems to be the case. Remember Joe got a ticket when we went to Florida, (read about that here) and I got some this past week when I went to Charleston. However, I didn’t tell you the rest of the story about my tickets.I did park the car in the street, and yes it was facing the wrong direction. Because the parking was so difficult to come by we just decided to leave my car in the fantastic parking spot that we had found and take Uber everywhere. We didn’t even notice that there were 2 parking tickets on the car because we didn’t drive the car. In fact, it was probably Friday before we even noticed the tickets. We came outside to wait for the Uber driver and it had rained the night before. I looked over at my car and mentioned that once again it was covered with something yellow all over the hood. (When we went to Florida back in April it got covered by yellow chenille looking things) That is when I noticed the tickets and I went to see what they said. That is also when I noticed that there were FOUR of them!!! Not only had agent 39 decided to give me 2 tickets, agent 9 thought I might need another pair. I am not sure if agent 9 thought I was just ignoring the tickets or if he had a quota to fill but at 7:09 he gave me a ticket for being parked in the wrong direction. THEN, at 7:39 he gave me another one for the same thing. Really? Am I wrong in thinking that it was a little excessive to give me a ticket for the same thing in 36 minutes? Before the Uber showed up, I went and got my keys and turned the car to face the other direction and left it parked there during the day. A “warning” would have been the nice Southernly Friendly thing to have done.
Someone commented on the blog last week asking if you could wear black and blue. I think they were thinking more like Navy than this color blue but either way I decided to style black and blue. I have had this Entro top for a while now and I can’t even remember where I bought it. I am sure it was a boutique or a festival because I can’t find this brand in the bigger box stores. The idea is for you to take this as an inspiration not that you have to buy the EXACT item. I will admit that this top is different than most tops. The sleeves are strange and really open so I wore a black tank top under the top to keep from having a peep show going on.

I bought this scarf fairly recently at Cato Fashions. I bought it because I liked the colors and also because scarves are inexpensive and can really tie an outfit together. This scarf has streaks of black in it along with the perfect shade of blue. You can see that I will also be able to wear this scarf with my wine pants and with something in the yellow family. That is how you can expand your wardrobe. I have on the Elliott earrings today. These earrings look small on the website but as you can see, they are a really nice large size. They are in Antique Gold setting and in the knot design with small seed pearls. The Flora bracelet looks heavy but it is not. This just goes to show you how looks can be deceiving. This bracelet matches the Natalie necklace that I didn’t think I would like but instead, I love!!! I even wore that necklace to the beach. Here is a black pair of Pixie Pants from Old Navy. I like this ankle length because they look good with flats or heels plus you can tuck them inside of tall boots and wear them all winter long. Remember, it is all about expanding the wardrobe. Same product but worn differently equals a larger wardrobe. My bright blue Kate Spade purse just matched this outfit. The purse is not quite this bright in person. It is funny how photographs can be deceiving when it comes to colors.

I love my heels but there are just some days when you just have to wear flats. If I wear heels too many days in a row then my hips will start to hurt. I know from experience that this is bursitis so I lay off for a day or two and the inflammation will go back down. There was a period of time when I had to wear nothing but tennis shoes for about 3 weeks. That was not a pretty sight, I don’t even like tennis shoes. Lol! I whined and whined and whined but I still did it. Now, I know better than to let it get in that shape. This is a pair by Fergalicious that I bought a year or so ago.

? Tooting my own horn, but I don’t care ?. I and my team had my biggest month EVER in September, surpassing ALL my expectations when I started this Rodan + Fields journey. I am currently :

#1 out of a team of 1,600 consultants for the 2nd time in a row!
And, my team increased their monthly sales volume by 15K in a matter of months! (Just think of the commissions on that alone?!) 

I was also invited to do a live training session for almost 600 reps!
