BLACK AND BLUE
Several of you thought the ticket story on yesterday’s post was funny. Someone even messaged me that Joe and I can’t go out of town without getting tickets and that seems to be the case. Remember Joe got a ticket when we went to Florida, (read about that here) and I got some this past week when I went to Charleston. However, I didn’t tell you the rest of the story about my tickets.
I did park the car in the street, and yes it was facing the wrong direction. Because the parking was so difficult to come by we just decided to leave my car in the fantastic parking spot that we had found and take Uber everywhere. We didn’t even notice that there were 2 parking tickets on the car because we didn’t drive the car. In fact, it was probably Friday before we even noticed the tickets. We came outside to wait for the Uber driver and it had rained the night before. I looked over at my car and mentioned that once again it was covered with something yellow all over the hood. (When we went to Florida back in April it got covered by yellow chenille looking things) That is when I noticed the tickets and I went to see what they said. That is also when I noticed that there were FOUR of them!!! Not only had agent 39 decided to give me 2 tickets, agent 9 thought I might need another pair. I am not sure if agent 9 thought I was just ignoring the tickets or if he had a quota to fill but at 7:09 he gave me a ticket for being parked in the wrong direction. THEN, at 7:39 he gave me another one for the same thing. Really? Am I wrong in thinking that it was a little excessive to give me a ticket for the same thing in 36 minutes? Before the Uber showed up, I went and got my keys and turned the car to face the other direction and left it parked there during the day. A “warning” would have been the nice Southernly Friendly thing to have done.
Someone commented on the blog last week asking if you could wear black and blue. I think they were thinking more like Navy than this color blue but either way I decided to style black and blue. I have had this Entro top for a while now and I can’t even remember where I bought it. I am sure it was a boutique or a festival because I can’t find this brand in the bigger box stores. The idea is for you to take this as an inspiration not that you have to buy the EXACT item. I will admit that this top is different than most tops. The sleeves are strange and really open so I wore a black tank top under the top to keep from having a peep show going on.
I love my heels but there are just some days when you just have to wear flats. If I wear heels too many days in a row then my hips will start to hurt. I know from experience that this is bursitis so I lay off for a day or two and the inflammation will go back down. There was a period of time when I had to wear nothing but tennis shoes for about 3 weeks. That was not a pretty sight, I don’t even like tennis shoes. Lol! I whined and whined and whined but I still did it. Now, I know better than to let it get in that shape. This is a pair by Fergalicious that I bought a year or so ago.

Like the colors. Like the purse and the shoes. Like the jewelry. Liked your “ticket story” and good news about your R and F team. Loved the scarf. Now about the blouse…it’s got to go.
Hahaha, you had me with all those likes until we got to the shirt. Lol! I have worn it on the blog before and no one said anything. It must be the way I wore it today.
Your ticket situation is hilarious! I always wear black and blue together. All shades of blue including Navy. I am not a fan of that blouse but I do love the color!
I have worn navy and black together but usually it is because I couldn’t tell the difference in the colors until I got out in the sun. Lol!
Tania, I adore this outfit! The color and the simple way you styled it is adorable!!! Congratulations on your fantastic R & F results! You rock!
Thanks, Rhonda! I appreciate your taking the time to comment.
You have Never had anything that I haven’t liked. You always look beautiful and smart. Keep up the great work.
WOW! Thanks, Brenda! That is so sweet of you.
Please give Charleston another try. We love that city and have found it charming ! I would suggest leaving your car at the hotel (valet parking-then you don’t have to worry about it) and walk downtown. The City Market and King Street is a must see and do. Much shopping and great food choices, too !
I really do need to go back for just a vacation and not business.
The combo of blue and black is a favorite of mine and I like it with all shades of blue. You look fabulous and the scarf is a great accent. Thanks for sharing your styling ideas.

Cute outfit! I have just the opposite problem if I wear flats for 8 hours my hip kills me I have to wear at least 2 inch heel to be comfortable all day.
I love black and blue especially royal blue with black! I love those flats in both colors! I can’t help but crack up at your ticket story! Really though, agent 9 was excessive for 2 tickets in 30 minutes! Congratulations on your R+F succo! You rock, girlfriend!
I thought it was just a tad bit excessive too.
Hi Tania,
I am laughing about the ticket issues you seem to be having… That blouse does not bring out the best of you and you need to get rid of it very fast. I like the rest of the outfit though.
Joyce, I think they have our number for tickets. Lol! The blouse doesn’t look that bad if you are just standing around normal. The arm sticking out makes it look weird.
Thank you Tania for this black and blue post. It was me that asked you about this colour combination. I love this outfit of you. I have a light blue blouse more or less exactly like yours, and now I see how I can combine it with black without looking too pale.
Thanks for the suggestion, Erika! It made me think about a different color combination.
