BIG CUFF JEANS ARE IN STYLE AND LOOK ULTRA CHIC
Before we talk about big cuff jeans, I need some help. Y’all, I’m at a crossroads, and I could use some guidance from all of you. A year ago, I started putting a consistent effort into my YouTube channel, and I’ve been publishing a video there every Thursday. The problem is that my channel isn’t growing, at least not at the rate I want it to. YouTube is a horse of a different color, and there are so many choices for people to watch and see, and I’m floundering. I need to pivot, and this is where you come in.
I talked to an advisor, and she said I need to decide what I want to be known for. Once I have that firmly in my mind, I need to create content around that area. That sounds easy enough until you start thinking about your life, and then I get overwhelmed. I think I’m too close to the subject and can’t be objective.
- Am I known for the styles I create?
- A friendly southern attitude?
- Self-deprecating humor?
- Hair and Beauty?
- Style Tips?
In short, why do you come back to the blog every day? Some of you say that you found me because a friend told you about my blog. So, how would you describe me to a friend?
If you don’t follow me on YouTube, I would certainly appreciate a follow! I have 8,000 subscribers, and my goal is to reach 10,000 by the end of September. Watch a couple of videos, and send me your feedback. Don’t worry about hurting my feelings, I know it isn’t good, but I want to improve. Constructive criticism is a good thing. You can email me at tania@50isnotold.com with your observations.
Now that I’ve shared my shortcomings on YouTube, let’s talk about today’s big cuff jeans outfit. Lol! Last week I styled Chinos and a Striped Shirt for Summer. I spoke about the versatility of both of those items, and today I’m styling the French Blue Striped Poplin Shirt differently. I love versatile clothing since that is how you get your money’s worth from them. This striped shirt is lightweight but not see-through, and I love rolling up the sleeves for summer. The striped shirt is 100% cotton and seems to run TTS. I’m wearing a large and I like the fit. Someone asked if it would need to be ironed, and the short answer is yes. I got by with steaming the shirt, but if you want a crisp look, you need to iron it.
Here is a way to transform the shirt for later this fall. One of the reasons that I love a button-down is because of the collar. The collar looks great when worn with blazers, jackets, and sweaters, plus it still has the V-Neck that I prefer. This Long Sleeve V-Neck Classic Sweater is one that I’ll wear a lot this fall. It seems to be of good quality, and I like the way it looks and fits. I haven’t washed it yet, so I don’t know if it will pill, but it has great ratings and a crazy number of orders, so it must do alright. It comes in a plethora of colors, and I think I’m going to order the Dark Chesnut Brown and Green version for fall.
Here is the look from the side where you can see the length of the shirt and sweater, plus this is a great view of the big cuff jeans. I like the shirt’s tail showing in the front and back, but you can tuck it in if that bothers you. I’m wearing a medium sweater, which is the correct size.
You know how I feel about accessories! They make or break an outfit, and I’ve dropped the ball on accessories a time or two. But today, the balls are all still in the air, and I love all of these accessories. Here is what I’m wearing:
Star Drop Earrings // 18Kt. Gold Vermeil Necklace // Reversible Abalone Pendant Necklace // Similar Dumpling Bag //
I’m betting that these big cuff jeans are making some of you shake your heads in protest. I’ve loved this look for years, and I’m glad to see it trending over the small cuff we all wore with skinny jeans. I’m wearing the Slouch Big Cuff Jeans with a pair of Western Boots, another huge trend for fall, This look is casual and relaxed, but you can dress these jeans up by wearing them with a heel. I’ll style them that way the next time. I’m wearing a size 8/29, but I ordered a 6/28 to see if they fit better. The boots run TTS.
I hope you will take the time to help me with my YouTube woes. Please leave a comment about my blog, and I will translate that into the direction I need to go on my YouTube Channel. Thanks so much for your help; I truly appreciate it from the bottom of my heart. Below is a YouTube Video I did recently, and you can see it has nothing to do with fashion or beauty…see why I’m floundering.
BTW, today is the last day to take advantage of the 50% off sale on InvisiCrepe Body Balm and Multi-Action Sculpting Cream. You can get 50% off both products by entering TANIA50 at checkout in the Coupon Box. Here is where I wrote about my plan for my dry as the Sahara Desert skin.

I was looking for a look that I would love, I have these Jeans in this shade of denim and I love the look I have a few months before I can wear them comfortably the long dress shirt and fitted sweater Nailed it 👍🏿
I first saw you on Pinterest many years ago before I knew anything about blogging. I used to think, who is this woman? I then discovered your blog. You are by far my favorite blogger! Love your personality. You are so much fun and don’t take yourself so seriously. Most of all, I LOVE your style!! I can’t tell me how many things I have bought after seeing them on you which is a little dangerous! Oftentimes, the clothes look better on you than the model.
Susan, I think you are now my favorite reader. 🤣🤣🤣
I go to your blog all the time to see what you are wearing, simply to know how I should dress, as I am 55. By looking at all the pictures, I know what to do. I have learned how to tuck, or not tuck, all about cuffs on jeans, and how to look crisp and stylish. I love your blog. I would not go to YouTube, as I like to scroll and look at the photos.
I love the things you show us and the different ways they can be worn. But I do like the moderate priced items. I know your fans are of different economic levels so it’s good you cover all levels. Thank you for being sensitive to all our different needs. 💕
For me, it’s the styles you create. I love your style and think we have similar taste. Unfortunately, you make me want to spend too much money on clothes. Lol! I adore your southern charm also. I already subscribe to your YouTube channel. I don’t go on YouTube often but will watch some of your videos.
I think of you for style and beauty tips to help/keep us stay current. A (not-so-fashionable) co-worker once told me I dress like a teenager and it freaked me out. Now that I’ve been reading your articles and style tips I realize I’m in style and not dressing too young.
Peggy, just because you are dressing trendy does not mean you’re dressing like a youngster. Staying relevant and modern is great, and shouldn’t have anything to do with age.
I think it’s your style tips and southern charm which I think could be added to any of the other defining statements.
I like your down to earth style.
I watch You Tube more in the winter. Put on my headset and watch on my laptop while my husband has his shows on the tv. Spring/Summer and Fall more interested in Blogs I can view
at a glance.
I have always had an issue with fashion. I’ve always thought certain styles were either too young or too old for my age (whatever my age happened to be). But when I was on Pinterest, I would see this beautiful woman who always looked so put together and would wear outfits I could actually see myself wearing. That’s how I found you! I love seeing the outfit styles you come up with from local retailers. (I also like easy to buy/return stores.) I don’t mind seeing a home decor or a makeup blurb now and again but personally, I follow you for your fashion sense. I feel that is where you can have the most impact. What we wear out in the world and how our outfits make us feel has an enormous impact on our confidence and mood. You have a knack for staying current with trends, showing various ways to style items, and proving that amazing, affordable pieces can be purchased from Walmart and Nordstrom’s and multiple stores in between! Stay true to your roots and keep the fashion blogs fresh! It’s exciting!
I have followed your blog for years because you keep it fresh and exciting! I am much older than you, but I still enjoy seeing you style the latest fashions. I appreciate your humor, your stories about your family, and the scriptures. I do miss more colorful fashion. I’m not fond of any YouTube videos I’ve seen by others because they talk too much and I just want to see them modeling the fashions. I will check out yours and Good Luck!
Hi Tania! I didn’t even realize you had a YouTube site until you mentioned it. I have been a follower of your for about 6 years now. After viewing your YouTube sight my suggestion would be to find a different room to film in. Everything thing is so white and sterile looking which makes it appear uninviting. It lack warmth and interest. I also would not sit down when filming because it lacks energy and is less engaging. When you did the post on providing forgotten items for house guest I think it would be helpful and more interesting to have your basket or whatever it is you put in your guests room, present and with those items in it. I truly love your blog and will try and remember to check out your posts on YouTube.
Best of luck with building your followers. Hope you truly are not offended and truly wanted honest feedback because I really enjoy your regular blog.
Your stories you tell of your everyday life, trial and errors, is what makes you relatable. Stick with the beauty, fashion, and home decor, that all of us gurls can relate too. Stay true and the followers will come..
As far as YouTube goes, for me most of the videos posted by influencers are way too long. I don’t have 20-30 minutes to watch YouTube videos. My recommendation is short and to the point … like 10 minutes top
You look great! What are you doing to lose weight? I love the sweater, striped shirt and cuffed jeans and boots. The whole outfit!!
Hey! I’ve been trying to sign up to be “one of the gurls” but when I enter my first name in the corresponding box, I get a red message to enter a valid email. I used to be subscribing but in an effort to clean my inbox, I unsubscribed. Since, I realized that you are really the fashion blogger that I like the best! I need to be one of the gurls! LOL
Tammy, I’ll fix that for you.
I am subscribed to your channel. Style tips and outfits you put together is where you should focus. I have bought several things you have styled. I guess we are the same body shape or style?
Youtube is not my thing. I visit your blog because I like to see modern classic outfits at a variety of price points. I also appreciate the scriptures shared.
P.S. Please do not say LOL anymore
Not a big you tube person.
I follow the blog mostly for the fashion.
Love your personal stories.
Enjoy an occasional makeup tutorial.
Barely get through my emails each day. Find the videos too time consuming.
I look forward to your blog – style tips and outfits you put together! I look at every one, have even purchased items you show. I am subscribed to your YouTube channel but haven’t been faithful to check it out. Blessings!
I am only 5’1” so those big cuffs would make me look stubby. They are great on you! I read you every morning except Sunday—that’s just not my jam. I love that you are honest about the fit and quality, and I like that you shop a variety of price points. I look at your Amazon store when I want to order clothing. I spend way too much time on Instagram, but I only use YouTube when I need “how to” instructions (though I am subscribed to your channel). Love your blog and your forthright and welcoming manner!
I love the look you wore today. I look forward to seeing your blog each morning and have bought many things because how great they look on you.in fact I just bought the city line creams from your blog. Hopefully they will work.
Have a wonderful day.
I found this site by visiting pinterest and decided to click on link. I’m glad that I did. Inspirational quotes on top of getting styling ideas and info makes this 55 year old country gal quiet happy. Please continue to inspire and incourage…some of us truly need this in the lives.
I do like the fashion tips, especially the affordable ones as you show how they can be “dressed” up for us gals on a budget. However, above all, I enjoy your chats and fun stories about your family and my favorites are your amazing Sunday posts. I feel like I’m reading email from a good friend. That is your gift – your YouTube channel must showcase your charming personality and warmth as that is so unique. Everything else is just a bonus!
In regards to YouTube, I like the style tips and hair and beauty videos better than other topics. You shop at alot of stores that I like and we have similar style. I’m always interested in new hair and makeup
products. Thanks
I love your blog, mainly for the fashion and your stories but I very seldom look at anyone’s YouTube. I just ordered that sweater from Amazon before I saw your post, anxious to see how it fits and feels.
I look forward each day to opening my email and finding your post for the day. I like the variety of information. I do not use any other social media.
I read for the styling tips–especially from retailers where I shop a lot. I also appreciate your content relating to your Christian beliefs. I did not know you were on YouTube–but will now follow!
I follow you because I want fashion ideas for older women. You always look well put together in clothing I would feel comfortable wearing, both physically and mentally. Your outfits are not over the top, can be found easily, and I value your opinions about accessories, skin care, makeup, etc. all those little things that make an outfit work.
I hesitated to mention the scriptures but now I see a few other have commented on them. Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs and religion. I support that completely. Personally, I skip those blogs since they have nothing to do with fashion, which is why I enjoy the blog.
I follow you for your sense of style for women my age. You use a variety of price points and are very clear about sizing.
Hi, Tania.
Hmmm…why do I follow you?
Well, I love you for bringing “runway” fashion trends to women over 50. Which is really to say, that you make trends age-appropriate for women in their 50’s. I truly appreciate that. I also appreciate that most of your fashion is from known retailers – not obscure fashion sites with limited sizing options and poor shipping/return policies. Your smile is welcoming and genuine…your southern charm definitely shines through. I’m sure that your faith is very important to you, but it is the one part of your blog that I can do without I am subscribed to your YouTube Channel but rarely watch…I’m all about the daily email. Thanks for asking for our input, hope it helps.
I forgot to say that I have followed you on YouTube and do watch your videos.
I started following you because I am 67 and like to see how others dress for their age. You have great taste and are very truthful about the clothing you feature. And I love your Southern humor. I think Southern women have so much grace and wisdom.
After I commented I started reading others comments. I understand not all people are Christian’s but I for one am and I look forward to your scriptures and you Sunday blog. Keep up the good work!
Hi Tanya,
I found you years ago on Pinterest, and have enjoyed watching you and your style evolve. I look forward to your blog every day, but I really don’t have the time for You tube and would rather get my info from reading. I am a “young 70”
and love fashion. I am the same size as you with similar coloring. I enjoy your blogs and the variety of price points. Your stories and sense of humor are great and you are one of my favorite bloggers….very relatable. Keep doing exactly what you are doing! Your blog is a must see every morning!
I have been following your blog for a couple of years now and enjoy the fashion updates. I have not watched your You Tube videos because for me it’s a time factor. I follow four older women fashion blogs and don’t always have the time to check them every day. I belong to three lineage service organizations and a women’s church group. Between all of those, it’s hard to find the time to watch anything on You Tube. Maybe it’s not your content, but instead, perhaps it’s the demographics of your audience. I hope all of your endeavors are successful.
I agree with Elaine’s suggestion that it may be your follower demographic that is stifling your YouTube growth. Your blog likely attracts predominantly woman in their 50’s and older and they’re probably not looking to YouTube or even IG, in favor of Facebook.
I love the jeans but I am so short that I know that they wouldn’t look good on me. They are really cute on you! To be honest, I get so many emails, Face Book notices, and U Tube videos that I am likely to skip some except for the emails. Those I read while enjoying my morning tea. I like that I can easily stop or back up to look at something closer.
I follow you for the style, your personal observations, bible verses and your postivity! I don’t watch YT videos.
I follow your blog but not your YouTube. It’s honestly because I find YouTube very time consuming. I work full time and have limited time for social media during the day. I’d rather read in the morning than listen to someone talk. This also allows me to skim what I’m reading when I’m short on time. I like your blog, but it’s almost too much for me sometimes with all the ads. It’s really a time thing-you’re great but I just don’t have hours and hours-I just look at that outfits and move on.
I follow through Facebook, and click on the link if it looks interesting. I follow you for the fashion updates, but I am forever grateful for your info on E2M – I’ve lost almost 35 pounds this year!
Thank you!
I was at a crossroads, I am 70 years but don’t feel or want to dress my age. You have helped me in finding my way in style. Thank you
I enjoy the fashion and skin care on your blog, and of course your humor and family stories. I like the fact that you shop multiple price levels. I only do You tube if I’m looking up “how to do” something.
I must agree with so many other comments….I rarely go to YouTube and have little interest in watching videos there. I prefer to read your blogs and I enjoy them immensely. My size is similar to yours and since I do most of my shopping online, your comments about the fit of an item are especially important. I have bought many items that you have tried and have not been sorry about any of them. I’m sure making videos are very time consuming and perhaps you will see that it is an activity you can stop unless you are pressured from companies to do it.
Oh, and I forgot to add, I don’t watch Youtube. I just don’t have the time.
And, I just read another comment about the scriptures. I also ignore them. I’m not “here” for that, but I’m sure there are enough people that seek that out. To me, it doesn’t have anything to do with following you for fashion.
I found you from a search on Pinterest. You were the first style blogger I ever knew about or subscribed to. I was attracted via Pinterest to you because of (at the time) the bright colored fun outfits you had pictured there. So, I would say, I follow you for the styles/outfits you put together. I have also loved when you suggest other types of products besides clothes. I’ve bought many and wouldn’t have known about them unless I read your blog. But again, I would say, to me, your are known as a fashion blogger, mainly for your cute outfits and style tips.
I enjoy your blog and read it faithfully every day – except for Sunday. Religion isn’t my thing, but it doesn’t keep me from coming back. Your outfits are fabulous, love the different price points and you are very relatable. I’ve purchased several outfits you have worn and always love them. I’ve tried watching a couple of your You Tube videos, they were a bit long and did not keep my interest. Best Wishes to you, I know that you will succeed!
I’m not a fan of videos at all. I would much rather read and see still shots. To me, it takes too long to sit through a video. When I recommend you, it is because you show age appropriate, stylish options at many different price points. And I recommend you to all my 50-something friends.
4. Am I known for the styles I create?
3.A friendly southern attitude?and Bible verses
2.Self-deprecating humor?
5.Hair and Beauty?
1.Style Tips?
I rarely use utube. I only visit you on your blog.
I didn’t know you had a YT channel. My preference for YT videos are how to do makeup and hair. Seems YT videos need to be too long in order to make money on ads and watching long fashion posts isn’t enjoyable to me. I watch mostly art and painting videos. I can spend hours doing that 🤣For fashion I like a blog or Instagram. The short reels are great. You need to advertise YT clearer if you are going to use that platform.
I read your blog and Instagram for the over 50 clothes style tips.
Tania, I have been a follower of your blog since nearly week one. But reading your daily email is it for me. I enjoy it and read it faithfully but seriously who has the time to do Instagram and Facebook and YouTube besides their daily emails and text messages and life itself….not me. No interest or intention to join your YouTube but definitely wil continue to follow your blog…which is Great and your Sunday’s blogs are very well done. Please keep up the good work. One and done is good enough for me. Thanks for all your efforts on the blog.
I don’t always have time to watch a video, but I enjoy reading through your daily email posts. I especially enjoy seeing the outfits you put together. Often they are the ones from which I hope to gain inspiration.
I found you via Facebook. From comments I think I might be towards the younger side of your readers. But still – YouTube is just not a platform that I use. I can read my emails while at work if I get a moment, but I can’t watch videos. Unless I am looking for something very specific, I just think videos take up too much time.
I read your blog every morning. We are about the same size, and I enjoy it because I can picture myself in your outfits. Your hairstyle is adorable. I once watched you on YouTube when you were showing how you style it. Otherwise, I only tune in to YouTube for a yoga or Pilates practice. My only advice is to really consider your audience when featuring dressy/cocktail outfits. Most older women have creppy/saggy arm issues that strapless/sleeveless clothes accentuate. Maybe show something elegant like Helen Mirren or Diane Keaton would wear.
I truly enjoy every aspect of your blog.
Fashion and faith, your humor and family stories. Also the fact that you shop multiple price levels. Occasionally you could throw in a recipe or a seasonal second suggestion to to add a little change. You tube I do t really follow, unless I’m looking to ding how do do something or a song. And you are the only blogger I now follow, as I got the most from your site and could relate to the best also. 🌻
I came for the fashion & style posts and stayed because of your humor and relatability. You make me smile and sometimes laugh out loud, which is a great way to start my day!
I really enjoy your blog. I am 69. A friend said that my style is breezy, and I feel your fashion choices fit me well. I love the Sunday post. I don’t really care for videos done by any blogger. I keep forwarding through them to get to the information. If you still want to do one, I would say add color. Wear a cute outfit. Film in front of an interesting background. However, I don’t think you need to add a youtube presence.
I think you should be known for your styles and how you style outfits. I like your blog because; 1. You show styles that i would wear, 2. the pricing of the items is affordable. I think your friendliness and southern hospitality will show through in your writing as it does now no matter what your focus is here. I have constructive criticism of your utube videos. I watched the one about wearing shorts. You should have shown the shorts much sooner in the video! Also, the room is not very appealing to look at!! You should style that backdrop like you do your home! I bet your home is nothing like that room! Am I right? I don’t like the scripture messages – I just ignore them. that is just me. maybe other people like it.
I definitely follow you for the styles you create. I love your style and found you years ago on Pinterest, although I’m rarely on there anymore. I read your blog daily and follow your Instagram daily. I don’t ever get on YouTube and don’t plan to. Thanks for what you do!
Love your posts! We’re very similar in size and coloring which helps in getting me out of the rut of wearing the same style all the time. I’m not a fan of watching on You Tube, however, nor am I fan of the large-cuff jeans!
Hi Tania! I would agree with others here that the videos are too long. As a teacher of 30+ years, I have found out that narrowing the lesson/class/video down to 3 points/tips/ideas is really helpful. Most people do not have the attention span to absorb more than that. You might consider starting with that and see if you get more people watching your videos. I love your blog! Your personality is great, and you have a wonderful sense of humor and style!
I follow you and click on your emails because I love seeing the styles you create and model, but what makes me read the whole email is your friendly southern attitude, self-deprecating humor and your hair, beauty and style tips. I love receiving your emails and have shared them with my sisters and friends.
I have viewed a few of your youtube videos, but do not like YouTube. It wastes my time and it is too cumbersome to rewind or repeat.
I will stick to the blog. I love your styling, and enjoy skimming when I have limited time.
I like the variety of things you cover. I don’t think you have to pick one. Most importantly, I love your Sunday posts!!!!!
I think you are awesome! I have been following you for years. I see you as a style and fashion thought leader. We are about the same size, coloring and age group, so that helps.
I don’t love watching YouTube in general. It just takes too long and bothers someone else who is watching television. 🙂
I say, do what you do and if the platform is too cumbersome, direct your precious energy elsewhere. I also follow you because I love your bible verses and you kind heart. 🙂 Keep giving your wonderfulness to the world. We need it! 🙂
Love your blog! It is my FAVORITE!
I look forward to reading it daily. Your You Tube channel does not interest me as much. Something about it feels forced and not very authentic.
Hi Tania,
I first want to thank you for all your hard work. I love your blog for fashion, style & makeup tips. I’m 59 years young and found you thru Pinterest a year ago. I am a clothing Minimalistic person due to a small closet. Your blog helps me coordinate my clothes & wear many different ways. I love hearing your personal family stories & your warm southern charm is AWESOME. Keep us the great work!!! You are a beautiful person inside & out. 😊
I follow your blog daily and really enjoy the fashion posts the best. I am not in the habit of spending a lot of time on You Tube and don’t even have Facebook! I watched your sample today. It was a little long. Maybe the products could have been displayed behind you on the counter?? Your humor comes out on the blog and it gives your blog a flare/personality. I did not feel that in the video.
I follow your blog because at 62 I was in a shorts and Tshirt daily routine and felt like I should up my fashion game a bit even though I am retired and don’t leave the house most days. I never watch you tube except if I want to know how to fix something. I feel like the couple of blogs I follow and my social media takes up more time than I want and I don’t need another rabbit hole to go down. It could be that those in this age group are not that familiar with you tube for fashion/beauty. I hope you can be successful in this area. You seem to put a lot of effort in everything.
I started looking at your blog because a friend recommended you. We are the same age so the fashion advice is what I’m most interested in. I have very fair skin (Irish girl) and I see a dermatologist. On her advise I keep my skincare regimen very simple so I don’t follow your products. I enjoy seeing newer fashions on you, it helps me decide if I’m interested in them. I already know the large cuff jeans will make me look shorter so their a no go. You are the only blogger I follow and I don’t do YouTube. At my age I want to live life not look at a screen more!
First, I think you’re known for Fashion over 50. That works! Everything ties into that and your YouTube should follow the same theme. Second, I’ve watched a few of your videos – they’re good but too long. I’ve noticed most of the younger bloggers do the short clip of themselves as they are and then with the outfit on. Short and sweet and if I like the outfit I click to learn more. They don’t even speak in these short blog video clips! 🙂 Keep doing you – you’re amazing!
I love your daily posts! Would you please share again or let me know your healthy eating plan? I have looked in the archives, but have been unable to locate the blog post that gives that information.
Best wishes on YouTube, I prefer your daily email, so good!
Hello Tania, I first found you through Pinterest. I love your blog! I look forward to reading it every morning. Your style advise, humor and fashion choices are what I love most. I do watch YouTube videos about once month, I am a subscriber of yours, but I look at YT usually for specific content, like DIY.
Tania, I follow you on your blog, youtube, Instagram and Facebook. I enjoy your blog every morning because it is so enjoyable and the You Tube channel is too long and takes longer than I want to watch. Just so you know I subscribe to a lot of people on YouTube and don’t watch because they drag it out so much and I get bored.
I read your blog faithfully every morning. Never look at YouTube so I can’t comment on that. You are so down to earth and honest, like visiting with a friend. I don’t know how important YouTube is for you, but I wouldn’t worry, you are loved here. I especially like your Sunday blog. Warm and caring, that’s you!!
Hello, I subscribed to your blog for fashion tips appropriate for my age. At the time you were 40 is not old or something similar – that’s how long I’ve been around. I don’t have an interest in YouTube videos. I prefer to read fashion tips with photos. Your personal stories much appreciated and on the flip side, I’m weary of you showing items that are sold out. Other bloggers I follow manage to feature items that are available, I wish you could do that too.
Good luck with your changes.
Read your blog daily for style and fashion tips. I do love the makeup and beauty posts as well although I am less prone to buy those items. I have watched a couple of your You Tube videos but I just prefer the blog.
I read your blog every day. I enjoy your style tips and your sense of fashion. You make me laugh! We are the same age. We are both southern gals. I love your Sunday devotionals. I don’t watch YouTube. I’d rather read than watch. I don’t need anymore screen time.
I think the ensemble today is very becoming on you. I am not a fan of the “rolled up” pant leg look but love the rest of the look.
I love reading your blog and hearing stories about your life and family. Enjoy your content and seeing how you style items as I have the same body shape but I am taller.
I have no answer for how to grow your channel on you tube. I have watched most of them and early on it seemed as if there was a lack of “design” in the room and the audio seemed to need adjusting. I know you have added some decorative items to the room but it doesn’t seem cozy and warm…which is the personality vibe that you give off….maybe it’s
a large room. When I watch other you tubers the person speaking seems to be closer to the camera when speaking. I don’t know if this has anything to do with viewers watching or not….just my opinion. I think the content is good info. I wish you the best in figuring out the direction you should go.
Tonia, you are the first fashion blogger that I found years ago. I have found other bloggers through the years that are a little more in line with my style but I still read your blog. I have watched a few of your u tube post but I find they lack visual content. I just watched the one on having guests. I would have liked to see the items you bought and how you put the basket together for the guest rooms. I know your job is very time consuming already but I think if you want to grow your channel you need to dive deeper into the content.
I know you as a stylish fashion woman. I don’t go to YouTube to see you. It’s easier for me just open my email and read it. I only go to YouTube if I need to know how to fix something, or decorate my house, or decorate a Christmas tree. It’s not you personally I just don’t do YouTube. I’m 70 years old so it may be that

I read your blog every morning. Honestly I only look at the pictures. If I need more info Then I read. I don’t have time for youtube, Instagram ect. I also follow 4 other bloggers.
Personally, I am only interested in examples of outfits that are in style, that I can copy. It’s very, very difficult to find pictures of mature women in stylish (reasonable) outfits. That’s why I look at your posts every day. I don’t need any beauty tips. I also really love your Sunday posts.
You have helped me tremendously with your classy, trendy, and modest style and hair tips and fashion suggestions. You have inspired me to lose weight and pay more attention to looking good at 53. Thank you for all you do!
I read your blog every morning…with my coffee! I enjoy everything about it. I am not much on watching U Tube from anyone. Keep up the good work. Enjoy your uplifting Sunday posts.
Hello! I first found you on Pinterest. You just showed up on my feed. I saved an outfit you had on and that started it for me.
I see you everyday on facebook and occasionally read your blogs. That is enough for me. But wish you well with u tube.
Cheers!
Hey! I subscribe to your emails and YouTube and follow on FB and IG. I rarely watch your YouTube videos (mostly fashion and style). I looked for a fashion/style blogger a couple of years ago and found you. I’ve only purchased clothing/accessories. For me, it’s fashion and style for inspiration!
I have subscribed to your YouTube channel because I like to support the content creators I follow, but I’ll admit that I don’t watch the videos often. I just don’t watch YouTube or TikTok much – I prefer to read my content. That being said, I keep coming back to your blog for two reasons. First, you have a knack for seeing the potential in a piece of clothing that often makes me take a second look at something I otherwise would have passed up. Second, I love your friendly style. You always start with a personal story, which makes reading your blog feel like a chat with a friend.
Sorry but I’m not a fan of the big cuff Jean.😞. I love the rest of the outfit though! I’m thrilled that western boots are popular for fall!
As for You Tube, I have no time to watch videos or podcasts regardless of who does them. My guilty pleasure only allows for 30 min on Instagram in the morning and reading the daily email from you. I follow you because we are similar in age and size so I can tell how something is really going to look on me. And, you accessorize! Even if I don’t agree with what you use, I respect that you do it! I think influencers who don’t, are just lazy so I stopped following them.😆. If an influencer doesn’t have a well thought out post, and it’s “simple”, I feel like they think they are cute enough to not have to put an effort into it. I don’t waste my time with those ladies. I’m looking for fashion ideas, not just cute women. I’m from Texas originally so I like your Southern style!
Good morning Tania, I follow you for your fashion and clothing style, rarely for makeup and skincare. Like others have mentioned, YouTube isn’t something I watch on a regular basis (maybe it’s our age group?). I did watch your video about visiting guest supplies though. My feedback would be that these are good tips (add Poo-Pourri!) but you’re describing the items with your hands, maybe have that cute basket with the items to show instead. Also, you could be in the guest room or bathroom so it’s more in context. You seemed a little nervous, maybe practice your talk out loud a few more times so it’s smoother. Your voice and appearance are pleasant and friendly, no changes needed! Lastly, I like a lot of your clothing and jewelry suggestions but they’re often pricey or out of stock, maybe an occasional giveaway? Keep up the good work!
Good morning! Your email/fashion blog is my go to read in the morning. I like your visuals and, for me, reading is a quick way say way to get info. To be honest, I struggle with a lot of the Instagram posts that are done now, when people are “jumping” (literally) from one outfit to another, and you tube is frustrating as well, especially when the content is drawn out. So I think that’s why I enjoy your info so much; it’s simple to the point, and a little self deprecating in a world where some people take themselves way too seriously.
Tania,
I follow you for your style and clothing suggestions/pairings. I don’t watch YouTube, because like another reader, I prefer to read your daily blog. It’s my morning ritual. Bring back This or That! I don’t read the makeup and skincare pieces.
Thank you for all of the time and effort that you put into your business. You are an inspiration and look fabulous in everything you wear! Have a wonderful day!
I would be hard pressed to chose 1 of the 5 items above as you accomplish all. I look forward to this post everyday and being honest, it’s because you do much of the work by showing classy clothes and beauty products. Like the poster above said, I can’t say my pocketbook likes this but you save me an inordinate amount of time. I disagree with the advice to focus on one item. To me, this blog is unique and I wouldn’t ask you to change a thing. Thanks for doing what you do for us 🙂
I love your style! I only watch the YouTube videos you post on the daily email, I’m not a subscriber but I will make the effort to do that. Keep up the good work, & Don’t be discouraged!
Good morning! I have to say that I began following your blog years ago because of your ability to create clothing and jewelry combinations that were fun, but classy, stylish yet daring. I consider your hair and makeup tutorials as “perks” and more about answering questions from your viewers, not a focus of your blog. Your southern attitude will naturally shine through in your presentation and sharing tidbits about your family maybe more appropriate for your blog rather than your YT channel. After all, you want to save some things for those looking to follow your blog after viewing your channel and saving those stories about your family and life may be a good way to offer a little something extra. I feel that YT is about learning and entertainment, not about establishing a connection with viewers; that is what your blog is for. Many blessings for a resolution!
I have watched a number of your utube items. You do a great job on them. However I don’t plan to join your iTunes following. I don’t have the time or the desire. I read your blog everyday and follow you regularly on Instagram. That is plenty of screen time for me. Good luck with your decisions.
I follow for fashion, style and skincare. I actually love all things about the blog, although I am not sure it has been good for my wallet as you have way too many great purchase recommendations.
I come for the fashion tips. I don’t read the beauty, etc. I haven’t gone over to YouTube because I prefer to read not watch. Hope this helped!
I follow you for your fashion and style.
I like today’s outfit. I get your emails and enjoy them. I am not on Youtube much. I follow you here because I like your outfits, your style and your humor. Best of luck with the channel. I know My SIL now follows you as well – on instagram.
I enjoy your blogs and look forward to reading them daily. Your style is interesting and I think you’re a sweet person. I used to enjoy YouTube videos, but I no longer respect the platform due to its political and social bias so I do not use it except in cases of necessity for how-to’s in my rug hooking and knitting. I have signed up as following you though if that helps.
Hello Tania – I am not an avid Utube viewer but have seen one or two of your videos and will subscribe. I enjoy your blog because while I am retired I still want to look good! Reading your posts helps me keep current and understand how I can style what is already in my closet. I also like that you help your readers get the most bang for their buck. I may not always want to buy what you’re styling but I like your writing style which keeps me coming back. I’ve worn dresses more this year and that makes me happy!
I absolutely love the styles you create and share on your website. I’m also a fan of your you tube channel. Thank you for all you do, I appreciate it very much. Keep up the great work😊
I faithfully read your blog and watch all of your you tube videos for all those reasons you mentioned above! I can’t pick just one! I enjoy every one, you really give us variety and I think you are very good at all of it! Your you tube videos are helpful and down to earth
and I think we all just need to get the word out to get you to your goal !
Good morning! I love your blog and follow you primarily for beauty, hair and jewelry tips, as well as your Sunday posts. Sundays are my favorite! Have a blessed day!
I like some of your ideas, so continue to follow. You asked… so here goes…Sorry, I am not interested in spending my time watching videos. Would you ever consider changing your blog presentation? I like a blog where all the daily featured item links are grouped together in one place rather than scattered throughout the commentary. Time is of the essence, Sometimes an item catches my eye and I give up searching for the link within the comments out of frustration.
