Whether you’re lounging at home or running errands, these pieces will give you that effortless look you love at a fraction of the price!

I’ve had my eye on the Spanx Striped Track Pant and Jacket set. It’s such a sleek and sporty look that’s perfect for everything from casual days out to lounging in style. But at $148 for each piece, it’s definitely on the pricier side. So, when I stumbled upon this almost identical set from one of my favorite Amazon brands, it was an instant add to cart moment!
Not only does it have that same flattering fit and chic stripe detail, but the fabric feels just super soft and comfortable. It’s the perfect budget-friendly alternative without compromising on style. This is going to be a great option for travel days, watching grandchildren play fall sports, walking in the park, running errands, and so much more! You can wear it zipped or unzipped, and it’s easy to mix and match the top and pants with other pieces in your closet if you don’t want to wear it as a set.

Jumpsuit

I’ve been the proud owner of my Spanx AirEssentials Jumpsuit for over a year now! You can see me and my lovely DIL, Kayla, trying them on in this post. I grabbed it in black, because I knew that would be the most versatile option, and I’ve already styled it many, many ways!
If you like the look of the Spanx jumpsuit, but not the price tag, check out this option instead! This jumpsuit is a nice weight and has a lot of give and stretch. It does have a button and loop closure, but most of the time, I don’t even bother trying to fasten those, especially if I have a jacket or cardigan on with the jumpsuit. I’m wearing a medium, which fits me well, but I have a long torso, and I would prefer it to be a tad bit longer. I like a blouson effect, and the jumpsuit is too short of me to give me the look I prefer. I grabbed it in a pretty dusty rose, but it comes in 13 other colors!
Half-Zip and Wide Leg Pant Set

I can’t even begin to describe the fabric of the Spanx Half Zip and Wide Leg Pant set. It is incredibly soft and feels like a Ponte knit, except it is almost silky. There is only one drawback to this set…the price. I looked high and low, and found the best alternative item out there!
Spanx sells the half zip top and wide-leg pants separately, but this is a 2-pice set. The price difference between the Spanx set and the Spanx-like set is over $200!!! You will love how the set feels, and it is perfect for lounging or running errands.
Crewneck Dress
I haven’t tried the Spanx Crewneck Dress yet, but if the material is the same as their other pieces, then I need to put it on my list! It looks perfect for days when you want to feel comfy, but still look put together. It comes in five colors, including a red that would be great for the holidays!
If you’re looking for a more affordable sweatshirt dress, I found this one! It even has the same back pleat and functional pockets as the original dress. It’s less than a third of the original, which is priced at $148.
More Spanx-Like Styles to Try:
- Here’s a short sleeve version of the AirEssentials inspired sweatsuit!
- If you prefer to cover your upper arms, here’s a jumpsuit with sleeves.
- I love the neckline on this sweatshirt!
- This ribbed set looks super soft and comfy.

Cute and look so comfy
I’ve only been to a Buc ees once and came out with a bag in my hand!!
Love Bucee’s when traveling, always a nice bathroom and love, love to look at all the goodies they sell. I always leave with something! Ha! Thank you for the better priced options!
Thanks for giving us some economical options that look great!
Great post! I have a pair of Spanx wide leg pants with the navy blazer. it’s very comfortable and flattering. I haven’t tried the jumpsuit. it’s nice on you.
Appreciate you finding more reasonable prices.
Hi, Guess i am in a wordy mood today. I commented on my 4 different brands of sleeveless jumpsuits. I also want to talk about the 2 piece, half-zip sweatsuit sets. I tried several different Amazon brands in size s (they do not come smaller) and sent them all back. The pants all fit the same as the legs of the jumpsuits I own. Again, I liked Pretty Garden the best because of the angled pockets. However, none of the half-zip tops were flattering on me. I tried styling each one several different ways, and just couldn’t make them work. They all overwhelmed my body. I am 5’3 3/4″, 135 pounds, and wear a 34F bra. I thought that since I have a long torso the generous fit of the half-zip tops would work on my short self. Nope! I just look swallowed in fabric. I own a couple of half-zip sweaters from previous seasons that look very nice. I will just have to forego the sweatsuit sets and wear my sweaters instead. I guess that’s a good thing. I’m saving money, ha, ha.
Tania, how could you walk out of Buc-ees without even a bag of nuggets??? Such self control!!!
Hi, Thank you for showing us these Spanx alternatives. I have purchased 5 sleeveless Air Essentials jumpsuit dupes in the past few months. I got each one for around $20! I watched for sales on Amazon. I own the jumpsuits in cream, rust, red, royal blue, and a dark olive-brown. The brands I purchased are Anrabess, Pretty Garden, Caracilia, and Automet. The fit is similar in all of the brands except for Automet. I own the bright red Automet in a size M and the other 4 jumpsuits in size S. I am 5′ 3 3/4″ and weigh around 135. I am long-waisted and wear a 34F bra. The torso was plenty roomy in size S in all brands except Automet. I wish that the leg width on all of the jumpsuits was a little more narrow. They are all quite wide! One thing readers may want to consider is the pocket placement on the jumpsuits. Some brands have the pockets located right where the side leg seams are placed. I feel those make my hips look wider. I feel the need to wear a cardigan or blazer over those jumpsuits to keep the line looking slim. The Pretty Garden pockets angle in toward the center of the body. (I’m sure there’s a name for this type of pocket, but I don’t know what it is. Sorry!) I find my Pretty Garden jumpsuit in rust (they perversely call the color brick red) to be the most flattering, though I like all of them.
Never been to nor seen a Bucees. My cousin in Texan posts pics from there every now and again.
